Wasn't called into action as much as he would have expected but was solid in the save and commanded his area well. Pick of the saves was turning Herrera's deflected shot round the post, and he could do nothing to prevent Quaresma's fantastic strike.
Was a calming presence at the back and shrugged off the challenges of Ghilas with ease as he strutted around the defence. Was dominant aerially and headed plenty of balls out of the danger area.
Was always aiming to get in the face of Quaresma down the right wing and won the ball back with a few great proactive challenges. Unfortunately his intensity would eventually be his undoing as he was given two yellow cards for daft challenges.
Didn't show too much attacking ambition which was a pity as he had plenty of room to run forward. Did the job he was tasked to do solidly though, and didn't allow Varela or Quintero to get beyond him once.
Sniffed out danger magnificently well and was always in the right place at the right time to make important interceptions. Was a danger from set-pieces too and almost got in the scoresheet near the end with a header.
Contributed to Sevilla's domination in the middle of the park as he sat just in front of the Sevilla defence and didn't move away from central areas, which gave them an insurance policy for counterattacks.
Didn't have the best opening to the match in which he looked slightly off the pace and gave the ball away, but recovered brilliantly and eventually became a rock in the middle. Continually stopped midfield runners from getting beyond him, and made some important interceptions.
Ran the match from start to finish and was the classiest player on the park by a mile. Remained composed to send the penalty coolly into the bottom corner early on and popped up everywhere on the park with his creativity.
Ran the Porto defence ragged for the majority of the match. Showed Mangala a turn of pace before finishing coolly into the corner and had a hand in the last goal as he burst to the byline before driving a cross into the box.
Missed a great chance early on up made up for it a few moments later by cleverly winning the penalty for the opening goal. Got on the scoresheet himself after an assured touch and lashed finish into the corner.
José Antonio Reyes
Shows moments of class when on the ball but unfortunately for him they came in wide areas when his ability to pick out a pass or get a shot on goal was not as effective. Brought off in the second half after Coke's red card.
Shot stopping skills were excellent as in the first half alone he denied a terrific volley from Reyes and a strike from Gameiro, but distribution was awful as he regularly gifted Sevilla possession. Also should have cleared his lines better with the fourth goal.
On the rare occasions he showed some attacking ambition down the left-hand side he looked dangerous and hit the byline a few times to get some crosses in, but just didn't happen often enough.
Gave away the penalty after a terribly reckless challenge inside the box on Bacca, lost the ball in a dangerous area for the second, then gave the Colombian all the time on the world to bring the ball down and smash a strike home for the third goal.
Positioning was poor at times as he continually left too much space in behind. Didn't get to Vitolo quick enough for the second goal and was caught on his heels as Gameiro smashed in the fourth.
Looked pretty helpless whenever Rakitic or Bacca ran at him with the ball as he regularly opened up the channel for them to drive into. Failed to display any kind of communication at the back with Mangala.
Actually managed to show some class on the ball at times and spread some decent balls to the wings, but didn't screen the defence effectively enough and gave Rakitic too much room to operate. Send a shot wide from a decent position outside the box.
Got into some decent positions centrally just behind the attackers but couldn't make the most of the space he was awarded, and often broke down attacks with poor touches and passes. Withdrawn at half time.
Made some penetrative runs through the middle which Sevilla struggled to deal with, but they lacked any kind of end product which meant the hosts were let off the hook. Didn't pick out any incisive passes through the defence.
Was the only player who looked likely to make something happen for Porto and tested the gloves of Beto with a few stinging shots. Set-pieces were awful but got a goal in the end after sending a stunning strike into the top corner.
His first two minutes summed up his performance when he received the ball in an excellent position in the right channel only to take a horribly heavy touch to send the ball out he park. Didn't take on the defender enough, or provide ammunition for Ghilas.
Wasn't given any service whatsoever from the wings or through passes through the middle but still didn't help himself to create chances for himself. Failed to put himself about or put pressure on the defenders.
