It's been another good day for African football, with the South African favorites falling foul to a series of defensive errors and poor finishing. Thanks for sticking with Goal.com for your LIVE! play-by-play fix, stay tuned for Team GB's clash with United Arab Emirates, which gets underway shortly.
There we have it, full-time at Wembley and it finishes 2-0 in Senegal's favour. The African underdogs looked uneasy after going down to ten men in the first half, but a second goal for Konate ensured them a famous victory over a poor Uruguay side.
90' + 3'
Uruguay's attacking prowess has now completely fizzled out, Senegal are keeping possession and just counting down the seconds in anticipation for a famous win for the underdogs!
90' + 1'
Suarez runs onto a terrific backwards header from Vuidez only to find his effort saved easily by the Senegal keeper. That may well have been the final chance of this game for Uruguay.
Coates concedes a free kick for an over enthusiastic jump on Yero for a header. Mbodji takes the kick but it flies well over and into Row Z.
A terrific run of play from Suarez sees him break through from the left and attempt to turn the Senegal defence, he times his turn wrong however and his attacks fizzles out.
Yero fires a shot from far out, it proves to be an easy save for Campana in the Uruguay goal, who dishes the ball back out down the right flank.
Arias looked to have opened up a terrific run for Coulibaly Yero from the halfway line, Yero breaks through on goal but the linesman's flag is up and Uruguay are awarded a free kick.
Khalidou Coulibaly Yero
Uruguay break away with Cavani running at a blistering pace on the right, he stops and attempts to turn Senegal defender Ciss, who does well to block Cavani's cross.
Senegal win a corner, Souare steps up to take and hits a short pass to Diame, who gives the ball away to Arias. The whistle blows, and a free kick his given to Uruguay for a minor foul on Arias.
CHANCE! Suarez takes control of the ball on the left wing, he contemplates his options for a few minutes before firing a precise long ball over to an onrushing Hernandez, who fired just wide of the target.
A solid play there from Uruguay, Cavani and Ramirez exchange a number of slow passes before firing on all cylinders and pushing forward with a sudden pass to Hernandez, who was caught off guard and took a bit of a backwards tumble as a result.
We've had a scrappy few minutes here at Wembley, Albin and Ramirez have both been booked for two separate bad challenges. Uruguay are getting very frustrated here.
Yellow CardE. Albín
After a flurry of chances for Uruguay, this tie has begun to quieten down, with both sides enjoying equal shares of possession.
Yellow CardG. Ramírez
CHANCE! Lodeiro cross the free kick into a packed Senegal penalty area, the ball falls to a beautifully placed Suarez at the far post, who connects a solid header but the ball hits the wrong side of the net.
Yellow CardS. Badji
Badji is booked for an overly physical tackle on Albin, who was kicked off the ball. There was a huge amount of force in that tackle, Albin almost flipped by ninety degrees!
CHANCE! An elegant interception from Hernandez allows the Uruguay offense to begin as Suarez and Cavani rush forward. The ball is passed to Cavani who dazzles Souare before pushing past and firing a shot just wide of the post!
Much better by Uruguay now, they're constantly pushing forward, something they failed to do very often before the break. If they can keep this up they have a chance of getting something from this tie.
Suarez breaks free on the left wing but he lets the ball drift too far in front of him and after struggling to bring it back under his control, the ball is intercepted and eventually cleared by Ciss.
CHANCE! Uruguay almost pull one back as a Cavani pass finds Ramirez, who fires a cracking overhead volley over the Senegal defence to Hernandez who doesn't act quick enough as the ball is eventually cleared by Mane.
Yellow CardMohamed Diame
CHANCE! Ramirez steps up for the free kick some thirty yard away from goal, he fires an effort with plenty of power but not enough precision as it drifts just over.
The game gets back underway and Senegal immediately concede a penalty after Diame took down Rios with a sloppy slide tackle. The West Ham midfielder receives a yellow card for his troubles.
Coming up after this match of course is Team GB's clash with United Arab Emirates. Stuart Pearce's men will undoubtedly be looking for an improved performance from their 1-1 draw with Senegal last Thursday. You can keep up with all the action right here with Goal.com.
This game has been a real gem to watch, not if you're a Uruguay fan of course, but it's been a cracking first-half from a neutral's perspective. Let's hope the second half can carry on from where the first left off.
The referee blows for half-time, and Senegal look to be cruising. Uruguay have it all to do in the second half if they want to get anything from this game.
Cavani is gifted an opening by some sloppy Senegal defending, but his shot is blocked and eventually cleared.
Yellow CardCheikhou Kouyaté
Kouyate goes into the referee's book for a clumbsy challenge.
Half-time cannot come quick enough for Uruguay, who will no doubt have a very engaging team talk with their manager in the dressing room. Boy, do they need it.
Suarez breaks past the Senegal defence before finding himself in a terrific position. The whistle blows however, and Brych deems the forward offside.
GOAAALLL!!! Souare delivers a fantastic corner kick into the Uruguay box before a beautifully aimed Konate header doubles Senegal's lead!
Uruguay are back in this now, possession moves upfield with Ramirez passing the ball into a blistering Suarez run only to find their efforts cleared by the Senegal defence.
Ramirez hits a thunderous cross into the Senegal penalty box, a scrappy scramble ensues before Calzada fires just over without really threatening the keeper.
After a quick scuffle between players, Ba leaves the pitch and Ramirez steps up to take the free kick.
Ba's off! Just minutes after picking up his first yellow he receives a red for swiping Suarez' legs from underneath him. A stone cold red card.
Uruguay break away with the ball with Ramirez dispatching a wonderful pass into the run of Suarez. The Liverpool man breaks away from the Senegal defence but is taken down by a disgusting tackle from Ba!
Yellow CardAbdoulaye Ba
CHANCE! A careless foul from Ba sees him booked, with Ramirez taking the resulting free kick and firing a fearsome strike right into the near post with Suarez failing to connect with a rebound shot.
Uruguay are awarded a free kick after Kouyate clumsily clattered into a Ramirez. Suarez steps up for the kick and it goes embarrassingly wide.
Konate comes back on after receiving a little medical treatement, he's alright folks.
Play continues, but Konate is still not back on the pitch. Worrying for Senegal.
Konate takes a nick from a Uruguay defender off the ball, but replays show it wasn't malicious. The Senegal striker might disagree though, and he walks off the pitch in an attempt to shake it off.
Senegal are really getting into the swing of things here, they are constantly pushing upfield in search for another.
CHANCE! A beautiful combination of passes from Senegal, with Konate eventually getting the ball and firing a thunderous screamer towards goal only to see Rolin narrowly palm his effort out for a corner.
Today's referee Felix Brych awards Senegal with another corner. Pape Souare takes it, but it amount to nothing.
What a great start there for Senegal, Uruguay are stunned at the moment but they'll no doubt attempt to reply in similar fashion.
GOAAALLL!! A well taken corner from Pape Souare saw a goalline scramble ensue with Moussa Konate tapping the ball over the line to give Senegal the lead!
A good run from Toure sees the ball hit off a Uruguyan defender and out for a corner, best play of the match so far for Senegal.
We've seen a muted start to the game here, Uruguay have enjoyed a decent spell of possession so far, but Senegal are definitely putting up a fight.
Uruguay push upfield right from the word go, Gaston Ramirez gets a great chance on goal but his effort flies well wide.
The match gets underway at Wembley!
Uruguay (4-4-2): Rolin; Albin, Coates, Arias, Lodeiro; Arevalo, Ramirez, Calzada; Cavani, Suarez.
Senegal (4-4-2): Mane; Souare, Ciss, Ba, Gueye; Toure, Konate, Mane, Diame; Kouyate, Badji.
The team line-ups are in, and both sides look to be full-strength for this one.
Ramirez and Lodeiro were on the scoresheet that night, but whether they will be able to hit the back of the net again tonight against arguably tougher opponents is another question entirely.
Uruguay will be going into this game full of confidence after their 2-1 win over United Arab Emirates on Thursday.
