S. Long 78'
That's it Ireland have won here, perhaps not in convincing circumstances but Shane Long's headed effort was enough. Bosnia weren't really in the game, apart from brief moments, but overall Giovanni Trappattoni's side deserved it just.
90' + 2'
CHANCE!!! Long should have had a second there but it's a brilliant save from Begovic that's denied him as the keeper stuck out a hand to stop his header from McGeady's cross from getting over the line. Great stuff .
CHANCE!!! Alispahic fires an effort just past the post for Bosnia, it's the closest they've come. The midfielder beat Stephen Ward to the ball and ran towards goal shooting with his right-foot but couldn't keep it on target despite beating Westwood.
Half-chance!! St Ledger rises highest from McClean's corner and gets good contact, the ball then hits off Walters and goes over the bar. However the Stoke man was offside so even if he had directed the ball on target it would have been ruled out. Not having the best of games is Walters.
That goal seems to have sparked Ireland into life now and they're playing with a better tempo and creating more chances. McGeady has been pulling all the strings since he's come on.
CHANCE!!! Walters is put through one-on-one with Begovic by McGeady he takes the ball in stride but the keeper is out like a flash and makes a good save from Walters shot turning the ball behind for a corner.
GOALLL!!!! At last we have a goal and it's well taken by Shane Long who comes in unmarked at the back-post to head McGeady's pinpoint cross past Begovic. It's very similar to the effort Walters had just five minutes ago the difference Long managed to keep his header down and he's reaped the reward.
Chance!! McGeady lets fly from outside the box and forces a good save from Begovic who gets down quickly to his right to make the stop.
OFF THE BAR!!! So close for Jon Walters as his header crashes off the woodwork after he latched onto McGeady's superb cross from the right. The Stoke man just couldn't direct his effort downwards. Unlucky.
The crowd are trying to get Ireland going but it's not working so far as they can't seem to string two passes together.
Sean St Ledger
Keith Andrews shot has just summed up this game, as he picked the ball up 30 yards out with plenty of support he decides to fire an effort at goal, but it trickles harmlessly wide. Embarrassing shot.
The game has gone incredibly flat here, the ball is being hoofed from one half of the pitch to the other. Not great footbal from either side.
Chance!! Bosnia threaten again this time it's Stevanovic who beats Ward down the right but after rounding the Wolves he can't pick out a team-mate in the area when well place. Wasteful.
CHANCE!!! Great strike from Pjanic from distance which requires an excellent save from Westwood who tips the ball over the bar acrobatically to prevent it from bursting the net.
There's a very slow tempo to this game, it really needs a spark to bring it to life as there's just no impetus being shown by either side at the moment.
Sluggish start to the half despite McGeady's chance from Ireland. They've been penned back in their own half and can't seem to find an out ball.
Yellow CardDamir Vrancic
Good run from Misimovic as he picks up the ball in a dangerous position just outside the area unfortunately for Bosnia his shot is poor and goes wide.
OFF THE POST!!! McGeady hits the post from six-yards out after latching onto Doyle's knockdown in the area. The ball came to him quickly as swung a foot at it but unfortunately for the winger he saw the ball clatter off the woodwork.
We're back underway at the Aviva Stadium.
Half-time at the Aviva Stadium and it's all square between Ireland and Bosnia. Neither side has looked like scoring as both have lacked quality in and around the box. Ireland have perhaps shown more than the visitors but haven't enough decent moves together to take the lead.
CHANCE!!! A real chance for Ireland as Keane breaks into the box, he manages to back-heel the ball towards Duff who made a run in behind but Begovic is out and makes a good stop as the Fulham man struggled to get the ball out from his feet.
Good defensive header from Dunne to stop Dzeko from getting behind the Ireland defence, the centre-back just got enough on his clearance to prevent the City striker being one-on-one with Westwood.
Chance!!! McClean forces a good save from Begovic who gets down low at his near post to palm the behind as the 22-year-old's effort looked destined for the corner.
Tester for Keiren Westwood as Pjanic fires and effort from distance but the Sunderland keeper makes a comfortable stop despite the ball curling and dipping on him.
Misimovic is getting room between the Ireland midfield and defence and is looking dangerous but his play hasn't been mirrored by his team-mates who've wasted possession in and around the Ireland area.
What a terrible effort from Dzeko, as he decides to take on a shot from 30-yards but he blasts the ball miles over the bar into the stands. Poor.
Good link-up play between Duff and Doyle presents Ireland with a good chance but Duff's left-footed shot goes just past the post of Begovic. Better play from the hosts.
Half-chance!! Robbie Keane gets the ball just outside the box and twists and turns Pandza before firing his shot just over the bar. Decent effort from Keane.
Ireland's delivery in the final third hasn't been great as Gibson's corner fails to beat the first man and from the follow up Whelan loops the ball over the bar and out of play.
Much better from Ireland as McClean picks up the ball on the left and cuts inside running past two men before Gibson receives the ball on the edge of the area and fires a shot just past the post.
Sloppy play from both teams as neither side can seem to keep the ball in possession for long. Far too many passes are going astray for both managers on the sideline.
Great defending from Richard Dunne as Dzeko was threatening, the Man City forward turned and shot but Dunne was there to block his effort before it could test Keiren Westwood.
Chance!! Ireland come close as Glen Whelan is put beyond the Bosnian defence, but he just can't get a hold of the ball as his Stoke team-mate Asmir Begovic comes out to stifle his shot.
Disappointing delivery for Damien Duff as he hits his cross straight to Begovic after he was put in a good position down the right by Darron Gibson.
Worries for Ireland as captain Robbie Keane is on the deck receiving treatment. Giovanni Trappatoni will not want to see this ahead of Euro 2012.
Chance!! Edin Dzeko beats his man and knocks a lovely pass across goal which needed only a touch from Ibisevic, but he just couldn't get anything on it. Before Ireland could clear the danger Lulic smashed an effort just over the bar.
Ireland are knocking the ball around quite nicely, in the midfield but aren't looking dangerous at the minute they need to get the ball further into Bosnian territory to cause them problems.
A good move between Damien Duff and Kevin Doyle is halted by Pandza who intercepts the ball just when Doyle looked to pull the trigger outside the box.
First chance for the visitors and it's wasted by Ibisevic who blasts the ball over the bar when well placed in the area.
Decent start for Ireland, as they looked to bring James McClean straight into the game in his first start but he's crowded out by some good defending from Pandza.
We're underway at the Aviva Stadium.
