FULL-TIME! The referee puts the away side out of their misery by not adding any extra time on. Madrid are convincing winners as they hammer their ten-men opposition 7-1. Ronaldo grabbed a hat-trick while Benzema scored a brace and Higuain and Pepe also found the net. That's it from me, Luke Matthews this afternoon. Madrid are now four points clear at the top of La Liga yet there are six more games in the league today, including Barcelona's trip to Athletic Bilbao tonight. Make sure you keep up to date with all the action on Goal.com. Have good afternoon people!
Ronaldo goes past Lolo as if he isn't there on the wing before his cross-come-shot smashes off the top of the bar. Not sure if the Portuguese international meant that but it was nearly a superb goal.
Madrid really have deserved their goals today. Mourinho's men are in superb form and have handed out a real lesson to Osasuna today who started so well.
Goal Karim Benzema
7-1 MADRID! A second assist for Arbeloa who wins the ball in midfield before playing a throughball to Benzema. The French striker controls the ball before lashing it into the top corner from 12 yards out.
Sahin slides the ball through to Callejon yet the striker has made his run too early and is ruled offside. If the former Espanyol man could have held his run there, it could have been seven.
Ronaldo now has 17 goals so far this season and we're only in November! How many can the Portuguese attacker score this season?
Sahin is given free-kick duties from 25 yards. However, the former Borussia Dortmund man curls the ball wide of goal. I don't think Ronaldo will let the 23-year-old take another free-kick anytime soon.
Ruben is on the Osasuna, a former Madrid defender. I think it's fair to say that the centre-half did not look best pleased to be coming into this game against his former employees.
Madrid have slowed down a little in the last five minutes and who can blame them? They have already won this game and will be four points top of La Liga with Barcelona facing a tricky trip to Athletic Bilbao this evening.
Sahin is on the Khedira while Ozil makes way for Callejon. Will there be a debutant goal for Sahin?
Madrid look superb at the moment as the Bernabeu await their first glimpse of Sahin who is ready to come on. Callejon will also come into the game.
Assist Fabio Coentrao
Goal Karim Benzema
6-1 MADRID! Coentrao takes it around Damia to make his way into the Osasuna box before clipping the ball to an unmarked Benzema at the back post. The French striker brings the ball down before putting it past Andres, via the keeper's hand from six yards out.
This could get really messy for the away side here who will do well to keept the score at 5-1. Madrid look hungry for more too which is rather worrying for Mendilibar's men.
Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
5-1 MADRID! HAT-TRICK FOR RONALDO! This is his 12th treble in the white shirt of Madrid. Arbeloa dinks a cross into the box which is met with a firm header from Ronaldo who heads the ball into the top corner.
Assist Mesut Özil
Penalty Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
4-1 MADRID! Ronaldo steps up smashes the ball into the bottom corner, sending Andres the wrong way. Who would bet against the Portuguese forward grabbing another hat-trick?
PENALTY TO MADRID. Satrustegui is shown a second yellow card for bringing down Ozil in front of goal. Not the greatest La Liga debut.
After the stoppage in play, the game has resumed. The final 40 minutes of this game will be interesting to see Benzema and Higuain upfront together. Surely we cannot rule out more goals in this game.
Ángel Di María
Slight delay in play here as Di Maria has injured himself attempting to keep the ball in play. The Argentine has been in superb form but he looks in a lot of trouble here. It appears to be his hamstring as Benzema gets ready to replace him.
We're back underway for the second half. Osasuna immediately kick the ball out of play with Madrid being gifted possession.
Time for some of your opinions on Twitter. Theophilus Baah says great game from Osasuna but the away team cannot cope with the pace of Madrid. He expects Ronaldo to grab a few more. Victor Sterz believes Madrid will win the game 6-1 while Aliyu Ilu thinkg Mourinho will rest players in the second half and the scoreline will stay at 3-1. Keep tweeting me your thoughts @LukasMaf.
HALF-TIME! We head into the break with Mourinho's men winning 3-1. Ronaldo opened the scoring before Ibrahima equalised. However, quick goals from Pepe and Higuain have restored the home side's lead. A comeback from Osasuna looks unlikely, especially considering Madrid's improved performance. Make sure you stick around for the second half!
Since being pegged back to 1-1, Madrid really have stepped up their game and are good value for their 3-1 lead as we approach half-time. Di Maria may not have looked great in front of goal yet his assist play has been superb.
Di Maria plays another ball into the box from the right as Ozil controls it before attempting to squeeze the ball inside the near post. However, Andres does brilliantly to turn the ball onto the post with his foot.
That is Higuain's 11th goal of the season. Great strike rate considering the striker is rotated with Benzema.
Assist Ángel Di María
Goal Gonzalo Higuaín
3-1 MADRID! STUNNING GOAL FROM THE HOME SIDE! After some patient play on the left wing by Ozil, the German drifts in-field before playing the ball to Di Maria on the edge of the box. The Argentine then cuts the ball to compatriot Higuain inside the box who sidesteps his marker before curling it into the top corner from 15 yards. Madrid at their very best!
Remember guys, tweet me your thoughts on the game on Twitter @LukasMaf. Will there be any more goals in this first period?
Frenetic five minutes in this game. And to think some people were moaning about the early kick offs in La Liga. Thank god for sleeping defences!
Assist Ángel Di María
2-1 MADRID! That didn't last long did it? Osasuna fail to clear the danger from a corner as Di Maria whips the ball back into the box. Pepe heads the ball down and into the bottom corner, despite Ronaldo's best attempts to pinch the goal. Great response from the home team.
Yellow Card Satrústegui
The Madrid players felt aggrieved at the quick free-kick being allowed as Pepe was looking to come back onto the pitch after receiving treatment on the sidelines.
Assist Patxi Puñal
1-1! OSASUNA EQUALISE! The away team win a free-kick just outside the box which is taken quickly by Punal. He slides the ball into the path of an unmarked Ibrahima who calmly puts the ball between the legs of Casillas and into the net.
GREAT EFFORT FROM NEKOUNAM! Nino cuts the ball back to the Iranian midfielder who tries his luck 25 metres out. It's a wonderful effort which narrowly misses the top corner. That really had Casillas sweating who was at full-stretch for that one.
So how will Jose Luis Mendilibar's men react to going a goal down? Surely they should keep to their game plan and make sure they do not ship another anytime soon. That is Ronaldo's 15th goal of the season by the way.
NEARLY 2-0! Di Maria drifts past the challenge of two Osasuna defenders before attempting his luck from the edge of the box. However, the winger drags it wide of the post. Big let off for the away team.
Assist Ángel Di María
Yellow Card Patxi Puñal
Goal Cristiano Ronaldo
1-0 MADRID! Despite not making a great start, Madrid take the lead and it's that man again, Ronaldo. Di Maria whips a left-footed cross into the box from the right wing which is met firmly by the head of Ronaldo. The keeper's positioning looked poor there as he stood a few yards off his line.
GREAT PLAY BY MADRID. The ball is played into the box by Di Maria which Ronaldo brings down expertly. The attacker shows some nice skill before drilling an effort at goal which is deflected wide by Satrustegui.
Ronaldo pings a delightful ball to the back post with Di Maria completely unmarked. The Argentine attempts a volley from 15 yards out but gets it all wrong as the keeper collects his feeble effort.
Madrid beat Osasuna 1-0 last season at the Bernabeu in Mourinho's first home game in charge. Carvalho grabbed the goal that day yet the defender is not playing today so the club will need to look for another hero.
Ronaldo is penalised for a foul on Damia as he looks to have won the ball in an advanced position. Slightly harsh this decision - the Portuguese international looked to have just used his strength there.
This is only the fourth time Madrid have kicked-off at midday in their history and the first time they have done so at the Bernabeu. Little bit of history for you there.
Rare venture forward for the away team with some decent link-up play between Nino and Ibrahima although Pepe does well to intecept the ball on the edge of the box.
Despite dominating possession, the home side have looked a little casual so far as Higuain's header is easily held by the Osasuna goalkeeper.
CHANCE FOR MADRID! The ball is played into the box which Ramos heads across goal. Ronaldo is unable to get his head to it before Benzema pokes it goalwards. However, a stretching Khedira is unable to divert it into the corner as Andres claims the ball.
Ramos plays a rather suspect ball back to Pepe who is put under pressure by Ibrahima. The centre-half is given no choice than to boot the ball out of play.
Los Blancos looking confident so far although there have been no chances on goal as of yet. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ronaldo be that man to try his luck at goal first. The attacker reached 100 goals for Madrid against Lyon and will be keen to get his next century of strikes underway.
Osasuna have hardly saw the ball in these early stages. The Navarre based side beat Levante last week 2-0 but have had to make three changes to their backline today due to injury. Can Madrid take advantage of this?
Real Madrid get us underway here in their traditional all white. Osasuna wear red shirts with blue shorts and blue socks. Can the home side extend their winning run in all competitions to 10 games today?
Both sets of teams are on the pitch now as captains Casillas and Punal stand in the centre of the field as the referee tosses a coin to see who will kick-off. Ronaldo is displaying his European Golden Boot award. Surprised to see the Portuguese attacker not wearing it to be honest.
Something feels slightly strange covering these 12.00 CET kick-offs in La Liga. Will the early start have any affect on the side's performances today? Let me know your thoughts on Twitter @LukasMaf. Oh and also let me know your predictions for the game.
Madrid make two changes from the team who beat Lyon in the Champions League midweek. Arbeloa returns at right-back so Diarra drops to the bench while as expected, Mourinho continues to rotate his strikers with Higuain coming back into the team. Exciting news for the home support is that they could get their first glimpse of summer signing Sahin who has returned from injury and makes the substitute bench.
Osasuna (4-3-3): Andres; Damia, Lolo, Flano, Satrustegui; Raul Garcia, Nekounam, Punal; Calleja, Nino, Ibrahima
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Coentrao; Xabi Alonso, Khedira, Di Maria, Ozil, Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain
Here come the teams...
Hello and welcome to Goal.com's coverage of Real Madrid and Osasuna live from the Bernabeu. I'm Luke Matthews and I'll be guiding you through today's action. Jose Mourinho's men are in a superb run of form and will be hopeful for another three points against Osasuna today. Saying that, their opposition have made a decent start to the campaign themselves. Could we see a surprise result today?
