Made a great block from Benzema, and showed good agility to stop Adebayor's second half penalty. Helpless at any of Madrid's goals.
Like the rest of the Racing back four, had no answer to the movement and pace of Real Madrid's' attackers, with Ozil and Benzema slicing through his flank to open the scoring.
The full back was given a golden opportunity to bring his side back into the game in the second half, but his penalty was truly awful, and was pitifully collected by Iker Casillas.
A clumsy performance. Couldn't cope with the movement of Madrid's attacking flair players, and ridiculous challenge on Di Maria late in the match that conceded a penalty summed up his woeful evening.
Gifted possession to Xabi Alonso that led to the creation to Benzema's first goal, and in general comprehensively lost the battle against Alonso and Granero in the centre.
Racing's most effective player, the Swede struck a sweet shot to give his side hope, and generally was the man that looked most likely to give Real Madrid problems.
Didn't communicate well with Torrejon and was bullied for much of the match by Adebayor. Didn't look capable of keeping Real Madrid at bay when the visitors burst forward.
His neat through pass allowed Kennedy to create a route back into the match for Racing, but other than that opening, struggled to get any change from the Madrid midfield.
G. dos Santos
Brilliant cameo of his abilities forced Xabi Alonso to concede a second half penalty that was duly missed, but always looked dangerous when given the service and the chance to run at Madrid.
Resourceful as ever against his former club, but the veteran got little change out of Sergio Ramos, and barring a brief opening on the stroke of half-time, never looked like adding his name to the scoresheet.
Given a difficult task in leading the frontline on his own against Carvalho and Pepe, and got more frustrated by his poor service as the match went on. Couldn't create a chance on goal.
Clutched Pablo Pinillos' tame penalty to his chest and also looked sharp to get down low and parry Kennedy's late deflected strike in another assured display from the goalkeeper.
He and Alonso allowed Dos Santos to break into the penalty area and win a penalty, but wasn't particularly troubled beyond that incident, as Racing failed to create clear openings.
Lack of concentration allowed Kennedy to break in behind to pull a goal back, but other than that the Portuguese dealt comfortably with Rosenberg, and enjoyed a straightforward evening.
Gave the tricky Munitis little room for manoeuvre and produced a vastly improved defensive display than he has shown recently, in a controlled, disciplined performance.
Appeared susceptible against the pace of Dos Santos, and struggled to cope whenever the Mexican was in possession. Remains far more comfortable going forward, and should have converted a first half chance that he skewed wide of the target.
Á. di María
Had an excellent second half, with his mazy dribble through the Verdiblancos back line setting up Benzema for the killer third goal, while he won the late penalty that Adebayor failed to convert.
Slotted in alongside Alonso in the centre of the pitch, and gave an accomplished display in what was a rare start, controlling the match alongside the Spanish international.
Had an excellent first half, playing a key role in both goals, and although he blotted his copybook by conceding a second half penalty, couldn't detract from another accomplished performance.
The German stepped up to the plate in the absence of Ronaldo, producing a near-flawless performance. Glorious close control and dribbling set up Adebayor for the first goal, then superb vision picked out Benzema for number two.
Started from the right flank before moving more central later in the match, and looks to have rediscovered his confidence. Linked well with Ozil for the opening goal, then was clinical when a chance was presented his way, before his glorious curled shot sealed the win. Two goals against Malaga in midweek, and another two this evening.
Touch and positional sense still seems slightly clumsy but he was in the right place to open the scoring from close range in the first half. His late penalty miss was embarrassingly poor, and was hit with next to no conviction.
