So Madrid go two Liga games without a win. A crisis? Hardly, yet Mourinho will be hoping Valencia are able to take points off rivals Barcelona later this evening. That's all from me, Luke Matthews tonight. Thanks for joining Goal.com's coverage tonight and be sure you check out the other scores in La Liga tonight. Buenas noches!
FULL-TIME! An uninspiring Madrid can only grab a 0-0 draw away against Racing Santander. Mourinho's men struggled to create chances throughout the game and looked like they are lacking in confidence after Sunday's defeat to Levante. Cuper will be delighted with the point against the Liga giants, despite his side still awaiting their first win of the season.
90' + 3'
Santander have their second shot on target of the game as Cisma's clearance finds the arms of Casillas. Racing have showed no intention of going for the win in the final half hour but who can really blame them.
90' + 1'
There will be five minutes of added time.
Yellow CardRicardo Carvalho
We're heading into added time now. Madrid have had 68 per cent of possession this evening, compared to Racing's 32 yet the away team have done very little with the ball.
Yellow CardAdrián González
For the third time this evening, Ronaldo wastes a set-piece as he drives the ball into the wall 25 yards from goal.
Yellow CardPedro Munitis Álvarez
Racing are camped out in their own defensive third now with Madrid looking to launch attack after attack. Marcelo curls a wonderful ball into the box but Ronaldo is unable to get his head to the ball.
Another stoppage in time as Diop is down on the pitch, receiving treatment. Mourinho will surely be fuming with Racing's attempts to wind the clock down.
Madrid are nowhere near their best but are enjoying their best spell of attacking play in the game. However, the clock is ticking down with around 10 minutes including injury time to play.
Benzema takes a tumble in the box but the referee waves play on. There looked to be little in that one with the Frenchman going down easy.
This time it's Kaka's turn to glide past his marker and into the box yet Alvaro is on cue to make a last-ditch to challenge to put the ball out for a corner.
Ronaldo, who is currently playing down the right wing whips an inviting ball into the box yet Bernado clears the ball clear. The Racing defence have been very impressive tonight.
Adrian replaces Samperio who is unable to continue. The midfielder is a former Real Madrid youth player and is the son of Los Blancos legend, Michel.
Samperio appears to have cramp with the youngster on the ground. Racing will be happy with this stoppage as the clock ticks down.
Yellow CardLassana Diarra
Still no real signs of a goal in this game as Racing appear to be looking to close out the game with a point.
Ronaldo's free-kick from 25 yards out is poor as it strikes the wall. Xabi Alonso is on cue to smash the rebound goalwards yet his effort is wide of the goal.
Yellow CardAlexandros Tziolis
Pedro Munitis Álvarez
After a quiet evening, Ozil is replaced with Higuain as Madrid choose to go with two upfront. Can the away side grab a winner?
Break in play at the moment with Stuani struggling with a knock. The forward is being stretchered off with Munitis replacing him.
Real Madrid have been a little quiet in the last 10 minutes and are running out of time to score that elusive opening goal.
The home team are making their first change of the game with Serrano making way for Cisma, who is naturally a left-back. Could Cuper be switching to a more defensive set-up?
Samperio attempts an audacious half volley from just outside the Madrid box yet the 18-year-old smashes the ball way over the bar.
Kaka and Higuain are warming up on the touchline and you have to wonder just how long Mourinho will wait till he makes more changes.
Di Maria has looked lively since his arrival at half-time yet his through ball fails to find Ronaldo with the Racing keeper claiming the ball unchallenged.
Di Maria tries his luck from 25 yards out. It's a dipping and spinning effort that looks to be heading over the bar yet Tono still gets his fingertips to the ball to hand the away team a corner.
Racing are working hard to retrieve the ball at the moment but Cuper's side will find it hard to maintain this level of running for the full 90 minutes.
Madrid have not made the greatest start to the second period yet are enjoying some possession at the moment. However, they will need to up their tempo if they are to create chances tonight.
BRILLIANT SAVE FROM CASILLAS! Serrano picks the ball up 20 yards from goal and strikes a ferocious drive towards the bottom corner. However, the Spanish No.1 did brilliantly to tip the ball around the post for a corner.
Serrano whips a set-piece into the box but like all of Racing's set-pieces this evening, it's poor as Casillas punches the ball clear.
Ángel Di María
Madrid get us underway in the second-half and Mourinho has made a change at the break, bringing on Di Maria for Callejon. A week ago today, the Argentine scored the only goal of the game when Los Blancos met Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
HALF-TIME! We head into the break with the score all square. It's not been a classic so far with both sides struggling to create clear-cut chances. Madrid improved as the half continued but still look far from the best. What will Mourinho be saying to his men at the break? Join us in 15 minutes for the second half.
45' + 1'
Ronaldo swings a decent cross into the box and Callejon gets his head to the ball. However, his header is tame as Tomo claims the ball with ease.
Ronaldo meets Ozil's cross at the back-post with a volley yet the Portuguese attacker mishits the ball competely, spraying it well wide.
Madrid are in the ascendancy now and are enjoying decent spells of possession yet still can't create a decent opportunity with Francis blocking Benzema's shot from 18 yards out.
We're approaching half-time yet the scoreline is still 0-0 at El Sardinero. The home support will be ecstatic with how things have gone so far in the game.
Stuani is the second player to receive a yellow card for a late tackle on Carvalho. The Uruguayan striker was simply too slow to the ball there.
Ronaldo tries his luck with a free-kick from 20 yards out. However, his powerful strike is a good five yards wide of the goal.
Marcelo smashes a low cross along the six-yard line but Callejon cannot get his foot to the ball, despite stretching. Madrid are in need of getting more people into the opposition's box.
Marcelo makes his way down the left wing before launching an inviting ball into the box yet Ronaldo is unable to get his head to the ball.
The away team are having more of possession now yet the Racing backline are standing strong in the challenge.
Madrid are struggling as we hit the half-hour mark. Tono in the Racing goal is yet to be tested which says it all about the away side's attacking threat so far this evening.
Ronaldo looks to be in a bit of pain following a challenge from Alvaro. The referee has deemed the tackle to be fair as the game continues.
Mourinho's side will be a little frustrated with their start tonight. The 2011 Copa del Rey winners are yet to get going this evening and it looks like the defeat to Levante on Sunday has affected morale.
Madrid have the opportunity to whip the ball into the box from a corner yet Xabi Alonso's delivery is not his best as Tono claims the ball unchallenged.
Yellow CardMesut Özil
Ozil is the first player to receive a yellow card for a late challenge on Francis. Not much in that one yet it would appear the German international angered the referee with his appeals.
Cuper's team waste the resulting set-piece yet continue to pepper the Madrid back-line with attacks. Can Madrid weather the storm?
Nice bit of pressure from the home side here who have another opportunity to put the ball into the box from a set-piece. This time, Carvalho goes through the back of Stuani with the referee awarding a free-kick.
WONDERFUL DEFENDING FROM ARBELOA! The home side hit Madrid on the break as Stuani plays a wonderful back-heel into the path of Ariel. However, the attacking midfielder wants too much time on the ball in the box as Arbeloa makes a last-ditch challenge to divert the ball to safety.
Madrid spread the play to the wing but Arbeloa's ball into box from the right-wing is dreadful, as Tono watches the ball go out of play for a goal-kick.
After a nice passing move, Benzema receives a Ozil through ball. However, the linesman's flag is up for offside. Controversial decision as the replays show the striker held his run correctly.
Despite a bright start, Madrid are being pegged back a little now as the home side prepare to launch a set-piece into the box. Can Cuper's men create anything here?
Slight stoppage at the moment with Benzema on the ground. The French striker appeared to collide with a Racing defender yet the referee did not award a free-kick.
Full debuts this evening for Varane and Callejon who both joined the club in the summer. It will be interesting to see how the two will cope tonight in a much-changed Madrid line-up.
First sight of goal for Ronaldo. The former Manchester United attacker picks the ball up just inside the Racing half before charging past two of the home side's backline. However, his 25 yard effort drifts high and wide of the goal.
Mourinho's men have made a bright start and have settled well, enjoying the early possession. No chances on goal as of yet.
Racing get us underway this evening in their traditional white shirts with black shorts and green socks. Madrid are in their change strip of black shirts with white shorts and black socks.
Lassana Diarra comes in for the suspended Sami Khedira in the centre of the field while Raphael Varane starts in defence for the injured Pepe. A surprise change at the back sees Alvaro Arbeloa replace Sergio Ramos at right-back with Mourinho choosing to rotate his squad this evening.
As expected, Cristiano Ronaldo returns to the starting line-up for Madrid following his ankle injury with Kaka making way. Jose Callejon and Mesut Ozil complete a changed attacking line-up with Angel Di Maria on the bench while Fabio Coentrao is injured.
Real Madrid: Casillas; Arbeloa, Varane, Carvalho, Marcelo; Xabi Alonso, Diarra; Callejon, Ozil, Ronaldo; Benzema
Racing Santander: Tono; Francis, Alvaro, Bernardo, Christian; Tziolis, Diop; Jairo Samperio, Ariel, Oscar Serrano; Stuani
