That's all from us tonight folks. We hope you enjoyed the game.
PSG are through to the semi-final of the Coupe de la Ligue after a convincing two-nil victory over Metz here at the Parc des Princes tonight. Thiago Silva with both of the goals from corners. Although it could and should've been a bigger scoreline with Di Maria and Cavani having numerous chances to put the ball in the back of the net.
FULL-TIME: PSG 2-0 METZ
That's the final whistle!
There will be a minimum of three minutes played.
Not long to go here now, PSG are slowly the pace of the game down and easing to victory. Metz look like they just want to hear the final whistle now.
Matuidi comes close from a corner! Metz have really struggled at set pieces here tonight. Despite some great saves by Oberhauser to keep them in the game, denying Di Maria and Cavani numerous times, his defenders have failed to do their job at corners.
Ben Arfa beats the offside trap and then produces a brilliant piece of skill to beat his man and force his way into the box, however his pull back to Di Maria was slightly too short and Metz can clear the ball.
A couple of corners in successive for PSG, however this time Metz manage to defend them better and make sure that Silva can't score a third goal.
Edinson Roberto Cavani Gómez
Third and final substitution by PSG, with Cavani being replaced by Blaise Matuidi.
Cavani with another chance to score! This time it is a volley on the edge of the six-yard box but he fires well over the bar. Another good opportunity to score!
Metz substitution sees Opa N'Guette come off to be replaced by Youssef Maziz.
Another PSG substitution, this time it is Marco Verratti who comes off to be replaced by Thiago Motta.
Two assists tonight from Di Maria, but he still looks hungry to get on the score-sheet himself here tonight, as does Cavani who had has plenty of chances.
Iván Balliu Campeny
Iván Balliu has picked up an injury and he is replaced by Campeny Jonathan Rivierez.
Assist Ángel Fabián di María Hernández
Another perfect set-piece ball into the box by Di Maria which allowed Silva to head home.
Goal Thiago Emiliano da Silva
GOOOAAALLL! ANOTHER FROM SILVA! It's almost exactly the same as his goal in the first-half, once again coming from a corner, he once again rises the highest in the box and powers a header past the helpless Oberhauser. Surely that is PSG through to the semi-final stage now.
As we enter the last 20 minutes of the game, PSG still lead 1-0 here at the Parc des Princes, but they should be three or four goals ahead by now!
HOW DID PSG NOT SCORE?! Di Maria was once again the playmaker as he pulled the ball back to Ben Arfa just yards from goal, however the substitute delays his shot and then passes to Cavani, but the striker fired his shot straight at Oberhauser who then gathered the ball on the second attempt. What a chance! One of those players should've scored!
Diallo tries his luck from long-range! He wasn't that far away then! Kimpembe lost possession deep in his own half far to easily and the Metz striker nearly made him pay. Diallo tried his luck with a curling shot which was starting to dip but went just over the bar.
Metz have a corner! Could they grab a goal against the run of play? No. The ball in is easily dealt with by the PSG defence and the hosts are once again on the attack, this time through Meunier.
Nanitamo Jonathan Ikone
Hatem Ben Arfa
Here is the PSG substitution, Ikone is the man to come off and he is replaced by Hatem Ben Arfa who featured against Bastia at the weekend.
Looks like we might be about to see the introduction of Hatem Ben Arfa as PSG press for a second goal here.
Metz have a shot at goal! Mollet tried his luck from long-range but his attempt doesn't come close to troubling Aerola as it goes high and wide of the PSG net.
First substitution of the game as Thibaut Vion comes off to be replaced by Mevlüt Erdinç.
OFF THE LINE! Di Maria sees his effort at goal denied by Signorino who did well to get back and clear the ball off the line, just as it looked like his low shot into the far corner was about to find the net.
There is a good atmosphere here inside the Parc des Princes as they sound their appreciation for the good football their side are playing tonight.
PSG came out 3-0 victors the last time the two sides met, back in August in Ligue 1. A repeat of that would do nicely tonight for the hosts.
CAVANI CHANCE! Di Maria is once again the provider, he whips a ball into the box which is met by Cavani with ease but he gets far too much pace on his glancing header and it goes over the bar. That should've been 2-0! Surely another PSG goal here would book their place in the next round of this competition.
PSG have started this second half with the same intensity and intent as they played with throughout the first-half. Di Maria and Cavani look eager to get on the scoresheet here.
FANTASTIC SAVE! Oberhauser once again keeps his side in this game. The chance all came about through Di Maria's run at the Metz defence, he then laid the ball into the path of the incoming Ikone who fired a low shot at goal but Oberhauser was down quickly to his left to deny him with a fingertip save.
The teams are back out and the second-half will begin shortly!
Thiago Silva's header has given PSG a deserved lead at the break here in the Coupe de la Ligue quarter-final. It could and should more than just the one goal as the hosts have dominated proceedings here so far, with Cavani having a number of chances. However Oberhauser in the Metz goal has pulled off some great saves to deny PSG any further goals.
HALF-TIME: PSG 1-0 METZ
That's the half-time whistle!
More good stuff from PSG. Once again Veratti is involved, he tries to lay the ball off to Meunier on the edge of the box but his path to the right-back was a bit short and Meunier struggled to get the ball out of his feet which allowed Franck Signorino to get back and make the block.
Yellow Card Guido Leonardo Milán
Milán is the first player of the evening to receive a yellow card, after stepping across Nkunku and blocking his run at goal.
GREAT SAVE! Another fine save by Oberhauser denies PSG a goal! It was terrific stuff by PSG and this time Nkunku is the man denied from close range, after an excellent ball into his path by Ikone.
Here come PSG once more, can they double their lead before the half-time break?
Veratti has just produced an excellent piece of skill deep in his own half to beat a couple of Metz players. Sublime stuff!
CAVANI SHOULD'VE SCORED! The striker has had a few opportunities already here tonight. Once again the Metz defence allow him too much time and space in the box to turn and on the spin he fires a shot at goal, however he can't quite wrap his foot around his shot and it goes well wide.
Brief stoppage in play as Veratti is down following a late challenge, however it looks like he is going to be fine.
Another PSG chance! Veratti lofts a delightful ball over the Metz defence into the path of Maxwell who had charged forward. However the veteran left-back couldn't quite reach the ball on the stretch and Oberhauser can breathe a sigh of relief.
Ikone is causing Milan and Ivan Balliu a lot of problems down the left flank, they just can't cope with his pace and trickery at the moment! The PSG man wins another corner for his side, however this time the Metz defence do their job and clear the ball.
Goal Thiago Emiliano da Silva
GOOOAAALLL PSG! Thiago Silva scores his second goal in as many games! Di Maria whipped in a corner which was won by Jonathon Ikone. The Metz defence completely went to sleep at the set piece and the PSG skipper had no one near him, and rose to head home into the far corner of the net.
Assist Ángel Fabián di María Hernández
Di Maria has been very lively so far tonight and it was an accurate corner into the path of Thiago Silva, who gave PSG the lead.
It's still all PSG here at the Parc des Princes, surely it won't be too long until we see a goal?
Free-kick to PSG in a very dangerous position, just on the edge of the box, to the right of the goal. Nkunku was brought down abruptly and Di Maria now stands over the ball. Di Maria elects to lay the ball off to Nkunku at the side of him who then fires a shot at goal but he doesn't get enough pace behind the ball and Oberhauser makes a comfortable save.
Another PSG chance! Meunier has the chance to feed Di Maria a low ball on the edge of the box but Simon Falette intercepts the ball. He needed to as well. Di Maria ready to fire a shot at goal.
Head-to-head: PSG have won four, drawn one, and lost one of their last six meetings with Metz, although their last failure to win was back in 2007.
WHAT A CHANCE! Cavani should've scored! Lovely play by PSG once again. The ball came in from Veratti into the path of Christopher N'Kunku who squared the ball across the goal to Cavani who surely couldn't miss! But Oberhauser made himself big and pulled off a fantastic save to keep his side level!
This is better from Metz! Opa N'Guette did well down the right flank and whipped a ball into the box in search of Thibuat Vion but Alphonse Areola is out start away and punches the ball clear! Close by Metz!
OFF THE POST! Di Maria whipped in a low corner which was met by Thomas Meunier at the near post who flicks it on and it strikes the post! The ball then rebounds off a couple of players in the six-yard box, before Oberhauser finally gathers and relieves the pressure on Metz.
Another PSG chance! Cavani with a powerful header from the six-yard box which is well saved by the Metz keeper, but they are certainly getting closer to breaking the deadlock.
CHANCE! Di Maria received the ball in acres of space, the Metz defenders seemed to go to sleep then! The Argentine then tries to lay a ball off into the path of Cavani with a defence-splitting path but there is slightly too much pace on the ball and David Oberhauser gathers.
Now it's Di Maria's turn to strike at goal! However his shot from the edge of the box is well blocked and Cavani can't reach the rebound. It's all PSG here so far!
Chance Cavani! PSG's leading goal scorer almost puts the reigning champions in front! Cavani had time and space in the box but elected to try and loft the ball into the back of the net but couldn't quite pull it off.
The victors here tonight will move into the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue, facing either Monaco, Bordeaux or AS Nancy in the final four of the competition.
Chance PSG! Maxwell whips a low ball into the box from the left wing, which almost reaches Cavani at the near post but Guido Milan just does enough to divert the ball and concedes a corner. However the resulting corner comes to nothing.
Bright start by the hosts here. They are passing the ball around with ease, with the Metz defence failing to put the likes of Marco Veratti under any pressure and Angel Di Maria is looking to link up with Edison Cavani immediately and grab an early goal.
The teams are out here at the Parc des Princes and the game is almost ready to begin! Stay tuned for all of the match action.
Julian Draxler, Layvin Kurzawa and Grzegorz Krychowiak among those missing from Emery's squad tonight, however Giovani Lo Celso could make his debut for PSG from the substitutes bench. There are seven changes to the PSG starting line-up from the side that beat Bastia 7-0, including the inclusion of top goal-scorer Edison Cavani.

Furthermore, away from home Metz have lost four on the bounce and have only won one of their last eight in normal time. In those eight games they failed to score in six and conceded at least one goal in all of them, including 11 in their last four which have left them second-from-bottom in the Ligue 1 table.
Their opponents tonight Metz suffered a Coupe de France defeat last time out, falling to a 2-0 defeat at Lille on Sunday. This made it eight matches on the bounce without a win in 90 minutes, with their only break in form, being their penalty victory over Toulouse in the Coupe de la Ligue.
PSG thrashed Lorient 5-0 in their final Ligue 1 game before the winter break, and that victory leaves them third in the table, five points behind the leaders, Nice. However PSG have endured some poor results recently, with a draw against Ludogorets and defeats at Montpeller and Guingamp making it three wins, two draws, and two defeats in their last seven competitive matches.
PSG returned to action in fine form after their winter break on Saturday, thrashing Bastia 7-0 in the Coupe de France which included goals from seven separate players, including one from debutant, Julian Draxler. This competition, along with their Coupe de la Ligue campaign and the upcoming Champions League fixture against Barcelona, leaves them still in the hunt to win every competition they’re involved in, despite what many have considered to have been a poor start to the season.
