The goalkeeper was rarely called upon, but parried well from both Zanetti and Jonathan early on in each half. Dealt well with balls into the box.
Marshaled Alvarez well and kept the Inter dangerman quiet for much of the match. Unlucky not to get on the end of Kurtic's cross after a well worked free kick.
S. von Bergen
Solid in defence and put his body on the line numerous times. Did well to head behind a dangerous cross early in the first half and blocked well from Alvarez late on.
A constant threat down the left, his pace and trickery proved a constant problem for Jonathan. Took a knock in the first half, and eventually substituted as game took its toll.
Due to Pereira's attacking threat, almost played as a fourth defender on the right-hand side. Booked early in the second period.
An excellent display in both attack and defence, and his tenacity meant Kovacic rarely got into the match. Did well to set up Miccoli in second half.
Spread the play well from the middle of the park and threatened sporadically in the final third. Solid if unspectacular.
Helped out equally in attack and defence and worked tirelessly for the cause. Palermo need more performances like that if they are to survive.
Twice tried his luck from long range and after Zanetti was stretchered off had much more time on the ball. A good performance.
Superb finish for the only goal and an enterprising display all round. One of Serie A's form players having scored five in his last five, and you can see why.
Easily the best player on the pitch, and were it not for Handanovic, he would have marked his display with at least one goal. Dangerous from dead balls as well as open play.
By far Inter's best player as they were indebted to him for keeping them it. Arguably could have done better with Ilicic's goal but more than made up for it.
A horror return to his former club as his poor clearance led to the only goal. Looked troubled when under pressure and eventually substituted.
Led well in Zanetti's absence and cleared brilliantly when Aronica was poised to score. Wasteful in front of goal from set pieces.
A quiet match for the defender, with his usual attacking instincts neutralised. Booked early in the second half for a tough challenge.
Kept quiet going forward by Morganella and struggled to get back in defence, regularly leaving the back three outnumbered.
Showed glimpses of what he can do but not enough for the visitors. Swerving effort had Sorrentino beaten, but wasted best chance soon after.
Wasn't his usual self as he struggled to get to grips with Palermo's combative midfield. One jinking run through the middle showed what he is capable of.
Very quiet in the middle of the park as the game passed him by. Rios certainly got the better of their battle.
Marked out of the game by von Bergen and wasted chances he did get. Weak shot late in the first half summed his performance up.
