Unbelievable scenes at the Barbera as Inter seem stunned. The crowd has come alive too. Inter win the corner, it's taken quickly, but Tzorvas claims the ball.

Clean challenge from Silvestre on Milito who was almost in with a sight on goal.
Inter keep the ball. Milito plays a one-two with Jonathan, but the cross is deflected out for a corner as the Milanese side flex their muscles. Forlan takes it, but it is a poor effort.
A really bad cross from Obi on the left ends up going out of play as it clears everyone in the Palermo box. Forlan shakes his head.
15 minutes left to play at the Barbera and the game could swing either way. There are some tired faces, but it feels like there are still plenty more goals to come.
Balzaretti earns the corner for Palermo. The ball comes in towards the near post from Miccoli, Stakovic clears it.
Free-kick to Palermo as Samuel hacks Hernandez. The defender should be off but he stays on the pitch. Miccoli takes it and drives the ball towards goal, but Julio Cesar fists it away.
OHHHH! Great save by Julio Cesar who denies Ilicic a clear goal. Hernandez finds the Slovenian, but he smashes it low and hard towards the goalkeeper.
Great shot from Forlan from the edge of the box. He tries to curl it into the post, but the ball flashes wide.
Inter break well with Milito who finds Obi on the left. He crosses, but Tzorvas smothers the danger. End to end football now as the teams start to open up.
Zanetti does well to recover the ball from Hernandez who showed some good skill inside the area. Even game so far.

Free-kick to Palermo as Ilicic goes down. Miccoli is looking to take it. Ohhh! Great save by Julio Cesar who dives to the right to stop Miccoli's low drive from hitting the back of the net.

Stankovic to Milito... OHHHH! Just wide and over from the striker on the near post. What a chance. It's anyone's game here tonight.

Palermo get the game back underway. Can Palermo show some of their first-half enthusiasm now? They were flying before Inter's goal as Acquah wins the corner. Ilicic takes it, but Inter clear.

And it is half-time at the Barbera with Inter leading 1-0 at the interval courtesy of a close range effort from Milito.
Ohhh! Nagatomo does well to find Forlan who goes for glory but sends his effort over on the volley.
Balzaretti does well on the flank and cuts it back to Miccoli who shows quick feet and shoots with his right foot, but the ball deflects off a defender and goes over the bar.
Great challenge from Migliaccio on Milito. The Palermo man times his tackle to perfection.
Palermo will be feeling penalised. It was one-way traffic before Inter's goal. However, there is still plenty of time for the Sicilians to get back into the game.
Sneijder drives one from distance, but it is well over the target.
After weathering the Palermo storm, Inter have been sparked into life from Milito's strike. Suddenly they have come alive.
GOAL! Just when Inter were struggling, Milito gives them the lead. The striker taps in from close range as Palermo fail to clear a corner.
Brilliant run from Forlan who gets his cross away, but Migliaccio heads it to safety. Sneijder has started warming up - a sign Gasperini is not happy with his less than perfect attack.
Awful return pass from Cambiasso. Too high and too long for Milito who does not look impressed. He has yet to touch the ball.
Sneijder and Pazzini watch on from the bench as Palermo win another free-kick from Miccoli. Balzaretti crosses from the left, but Miccoli cannot get on the end of it.

Great run by Jonathan who finds Forlan. He tees up Cambiasso on the overlap, but the midfielder fires wide of the mark. Great chance for Inter as Palermo escape.
Miccoli is in behind the Inter defence here and he runs onto the ball, but Julio Cesar is out early and sees it to safety.
Nagatomo tries to spark Inter into life, but his shot is always rising and clears the bar.
Free-kick to Palermo on the left. Ilicic steps up to take it, but his effort is wayward and no-one can get onto it.
It's all Palermo tonight. Inter have not even had a sniff at goal. This Forlan-Milito-Zarate does not seem to be working for the Milanese side.
Jonathan goes down theatrically in the box and gets nothing for his attempts at winning a penalty. Right decision, but we have seen these given.
Cambiasso takes down Miccoli and it is yet another free-kick for Palermo on the edge of the box. Miccoli steps up and beats the wall but not Julio Cesar who is well placed to make the save.
Inter are struggling to find their rhythm against a very strong Palermo side here.
Zarate gives away another free-kick to Palermo. This time it is further away from goal. The ball reaches Della Rocca, but Julio Cesar is there again as he makes the save.
Free-kick to Palermo as Zarate handles outside the box. Miccoli smashes the ball against the wall. Not the best of efforts from the frontman.
Zarate shoots from distance, but the ball flies wide.
Zarate gives the ball away, allowing Palermo to break. The cross is whipped in for Hernandez who heads towards goal, but Julio Cesar is ready and makes the save.
Palermo are pressing hard as Inter struggle. Miccoli wins a free kick and takes it, but the ball deflects off the wall and goes out for a corner.
And the final game of Serie A's week one round of fixtures is underway as Inter get us rolling in Sicily.
The big surprise news before the game is Wesley Sneijder being left on the bench by coach Gian Piero Gasperini. Thus, A South American trio of Diego Forlan, Diego Milito, and Mauro Zarate start up front.
