  • And that is a huge win for Didier Deschamps' men. A superb win after a bad week. That's it for tonight folks. I'm Mohammed Ali, and it's been a pleasure. Good night.
  • 90' + 3'
AND THAT'S FULL TIME!! MARSEILLE 3-0 PSG!!
  • 90' + 2'
This is arguably OM's result of the season so far. This is also their biggest win over their arch-enemies since February 2010 when they won 3-0 in Paris en route to a Ligue 1 title. Celebrations all round then. Maybe not for Andre-Pierre Gignac.
  • 90' + 1'
Jordan Ayew commits a needless foul, pushing Jallet before a shot was taken. Free-kick PSG from 28 metres out. Nene's over it and it is deflected. Poor again from the Brazilian.
  • 90'
Three minutes added onto the end of the match. Didier Deschamps' men must be delighted with the win. Their arch rivals have been humbled. Could it be curtains for Koumbouare?
  • 88'
Goalscorer Andre Ayew looks to have picked up a knock with a slight tumble. But he'll be OK. Along with the Ghanaian, Lucho, Azpilicueta and Amalfitano have played their part tonight. OLE's all round the Stade Velodrome.
  • 87'
A superb Amalfitano cross was headed in by Ayew powerfully. Sirigu and Lugano tried both to stop it from crossing the line before Ceara cleared t. Ayew celebrated, but replays showed that it DID go over. Good call referee.
  • 86'
Diego Lugano is arguing with the referee after a disagreement with one of the Marseille players. Things spiralling out of control here.
  • 85'
The Marseille fans look on in delight. A sharp contrast to that of Koumbouare, Leonardo and Al Khelifi who look humbled by what is becoming total domination. PSG have beeen clueless, toothless and unimaginative.
  • 84'
    Assist Morgan Amalfitano
  • 84'
    Goal André Ayew
AND THERE IT IS!! 3-0 TO MARSEILLE!!!! Andre Ayew kisses his badge as the ball is cleared off the line. Replays show his header DID cross the goal despite Ceara's clearance.
  • 82'
Armand whips in a threatening ball from the left, but is well dealt with by Charles Kabore. Jordan Ayew fails to get past Lugano as he sniffs out an opening. Good last ditch tackle from the Uruguayan.
  • 80'
Gameiro and Pastore look on dejected as PSG find it tough to fashion some short of comeback. Both have been poor tonight.
  • 79'
The match is going through the motions now as Menez is superbly tackled by Azpilicueta. Jallet tries to capitalise on a loose ball, but Morel recovers in time.
  • 78'
    Substitution Blaise Matuidi Ceará
  • 78'
Menez is down after a challenge, and is met with a chorus of boos. Marcos Ceara comes on as PSG's final substitution.
  • 76'
Cheyrou and Ayew get caught up in traffic, as Matuidi intercepts. PSG looking to break on the counter, but are kept at arm's length by a resolute home defence.
  • 75'
Sissoko lofts a delicate ball over the OM defence, but Mevlut Erding has been flagged offside. Frustrating night on the Meditarrenean for the visitors.
  • 73'
    Substitution Stéphane M'Bia Charles Kaboré
  • 73'
OM's third and final substitution. Charles Kabore entering the fray.
  • 70'
Ayew hits the shot wide. PSG are on the counter, meanwhile Superb run, but Erding is foiled at the last second by Diawara as the Turk was about to pull the trigger.
  • 69'
OM rattling for that third. Cross from Cheyrou, evades Ayew's head. But it's a corner.
  • 68'
And Marseille owner Margarita Louis Dreyfus enters the stands with a puppy in her hands. Probably wants to enjoy the last 20 minutes, doesn't she?
  • 67'
And it so easily could've been three. A great delivery from Amalfitano's cross saw Mbia slam a header into the hands of Sirigu. Marseille in the ascendancy as Erding is caught offside.
  • 66'
Nasser Al Khelifi and Leonardo watch on with misery as OM continue to pile misery on the duo. They really deserved that second.
  • 65'
    Assist Jordan Ayew
  • 65'
    Goal Morgan Amalfitano
OHHH WHAT A GOAL! Fantastic shot by Morgan Amalfitano. Superbn ball in again and he's lashed in an effort which beats Sirigu from just inside the area. Great finish.
  • 65'
    Substitution Lucho González Benoît Cheyrou
  • 64'
OM make their second substituion. It's Lucho Gonzalez off, for Benoit Cheyrou to add a bit of steel in the defence. It's arguably El Commandante's best game for a while in OM colours.
  • 63'
    Yellow Card Morgan Amalfitano
  • 62'
Amalfitano is booked for a rash challenge on Armand needing some physiotherapy on the pitch. Sirigu is not happy, and lambasting the decision.
  • 61'
Nene exacts a bit of revenge on Amalfitano with a little tackle on the Frenchman. OM are dominating, as PSG fail to gain a stranglehold in the final third. Erding is the man with the job to do it.
  • 60'
Nene floats in a set-piece, but Mandanda isn't troubled. PSG have replaced arguably their two best players. The OM fans watch on in glee.
  • 59'
    Substitution Javier Pastore Mathieu Bodmer
  • 59'
    Substitution Kevin Gameiro Mevlut Erding
  • 59'
Apologies. It's a DOUBLE substituion. Gameiro comes off for Erding. Whilst Pastore is subbed for Bodmer. Gameiro lashes out on the touchline, and kicks a bottle too. Touchy.
  • 58'
Azpilcueta solidly holds off the challenge of Nene as Mandanda collects the ball. PSG readying a substitute, it's Bodmer coming on for Kevin Gameiro. Shocking that one. He doesn't look pleased. A defensive midfielder for a striker?
  • 57'
    Yellow Card Mamadou Sakho
  • 57'
    Yellow Card Jordan Ayew
  • 57'
Azpilcueta solidly holds off the challenge of Nene as Mandanda collects the ball. PSG readying a substitute, it's Bodmer coming on for Kevin Gameiro. Shocking that one. He doesn't look pleased. A defensive midfielder for a striker?
  • 56'
Lionel Jaffredo hands Sakho and Ayew both a yellow card for their little disagreement. It all kicked off when Ayew dispossessed the French international.
  • 55'
Play has stopped. A melee has ensued between Jordan Ayew and PSG captain Mamadou Sakho. Big brother Andre steps in to calm him down.
  • 53'
MBIA! Now that was ambitious. Again OM neatly spread their attacks, and the pull-back evades Sakho with the Cameroonian slamming one over the bar.
  • 51'
Nene looks pretty angry after a rough challenge. The referee calms down the player with Amalfitano voicing his discontent at Nene's theatricals.
  • 49'
Penalty? Ayew waltzes inside the penalty area before going to ground, but it looked to have been just down to poor control. Didier Deschamps' men looking very solid in the opening 5 minutes of the second period.
  • 48'
Menez falters after a simple ball in from Jallet. Superbly headed, but he's failed to get past Diawara.
  • 47'
LUCHO!! Superb one-two between the two. Wonderful. But the finish is deflected, and goes for a corner. Marseille knocking on the door already!
  • 47'
OM immediately start the half as they ended it. Enterprising going forward. Azpilicueta is again proving lively.
  • 46'
And we are away! OM 1-0 PSG.
  • The teams emerging from the tunnel. Second half about to begin.
  • I'll be back in 15 minutes for the second half. Keep your messages coming to @mohammedali_93. Looking forward to them.
  • What will Koumbouare be thinking, with Leonardo and Al-Khelifi in attendance? Poor defending by Jallet, and Lugano in particular for the goal. Pastore frustrated, Gameiro isolated, Nene ineffectual. Radical changes needed in the second period.
  • A slow start to the derby de France was brought alive with a fantastic header from Loic Remy who was forced off with injury. The 9th minute goal was supplied by a great Azpilicueta cross, as PSG failed to find their feet in defence.
  • Half-time at the Stade Velodrome. It's Olympique de Marseille 1-0 Paris Saint Germain.
  • 45' + 3'
A frustrated Javier Pastore runs offside, bringing the first half action to a close.
  • 45' + 2'
Very late from Armand. I'm surprised it's not a red. Two footed on the Ghanaian, but Lionel Jaffredo deems that worthy of only a yellow.
  • 45' + 1'
    Yellow Card Sylvain Armand
  • 45' + 1'
Marseille carefully protecting their lead with a series of tackles. Pastore looks flustered as Andre Ayew is hacked down. A booking here for Armand.
  • 45'
Three added minutes at the end of the first half of the Derby de France.
  • 43'
AZPILICUETA! The young Spaniard from Pamplona tries an effort on the edge of the area. Always rising that one. But flashes of attacking displays.
  • 41'
In fact that error meant Gameiro tracked back about 80 metres to defend, when he is the only attacker. Meanwhile, an audacious attempt from the visitors goes well wide.
  • 40'
Poor defending by les Parisiens. Jordan Ayew capitalises on Jallet's error, but forces the ball to wide to make an impact. Defending has been pretty bad from Antoine Koumbouare's men.
  • 38'
The ball goes out for a corner, but Lucho's delivery sees Alou Diarra head wayward. Goal-kick PSG.
  • 37'
Fantastic piece of skill by Andre Ayew. Tries to shield the ball from Jallet & Pastore, and instead gets the throw-in, to the delight of the home fans.
  • 36'
N'Koulou finds himself in a spot of trouble, but calmly deflects the ball away for a throw-in after initially allowing Pastore to gain an advantage.
  • 35'
Or not, it's OFF THE POST! Fantastic effort from Sissoko, would you believe? Low and powerful, and it comes back off Mandanda's right post. Could've been 1-1.
  • 34'
.....and it's headed away by Diawara. Well defended.
  • 33'
Free-kick to PSG from 25 yards out. Nene is over this one........
  • 33'
30% of Goal.com readers think that this match will finish 2-1 in SPG's favour. Do you agree? Tweet me your messages and predictions to @mohammedali_93.
  • 32'
    Substitution Loïc Remy Jordan Ayew
  • 31'
Diarra goes to ground with a challenge. Remy is walking around which is a good sign. But he'll be coming off as a precaution. Jordan Ayew replaces the goalscorer.
  • 28'
And yes, the change will be made. Jordan Ayew has stripped off, and will be coming on shortly.
  • 27'
The only other option for the hosts would be Jordan Ayew since Gignac has been omitted from the squad after a row with Deshamps. On the pitch, Remy is being helped off to the touchline.
  • 27'
Loic Remy is in pain on the ground after an awkward fall. The physio is on the pitch, but the French international is in a lot of agony.
  • 26'
Punched away by Sirigu. It's all been Marseille in this period, but the referee does not whistle when Mbia is hacked down by Sissoko on the edge of the area.
  • 25'
....or so it wasn't. The setpiece is deflected, but it's trickled out for another corner.
  • 24'
And as the ball is spread to Lucho, Lugano makes a needless foul. Free-kick 25 metres out. This is a Lucho zone......
  • 24'
Sylvain Armand is penalised for a foul on Morgan Amalfitano. Free-kick in a decent position for the hosts. It's short, but drilled in. Headed on, but the shot is blocked by Remy as PSG clear.
  • 23'
Amalfitano and Azpilicueta causing a bit of havoc on that right-flank. Another quickly taken clearance from Sakho. Meanwhile, Menez tries to run down a pass back to Mandanda, but the goalkeeper wins that battle.
  • 22'
And meanwhile, Lucho Gonzalez is showing flashes of his brilliance. A lovely ball with the outside of the boot tries to find Azpilicueta. But it deflects off Lugano - who is looking a bit shaky.
  • 21'
Lack of imignation by Christophe Jallet and Gameiro. The two combine, but for some reason, the pass into the box is way off and into the hands of Steve Mandanda.
  • 20'
Tussle before the corner is taken. Sissoko is spoken to by the referee for his movements and tracking. No such worries, since Sirigu calmly picks out the aerial ball.
  • 20'
LUCHO! Chance again for the Marseillais. Wonderful ball through by the lively Azpilicueta to the Argentine. A pull-back is short, and quickly cleared for a corner by Sakho.
  • 19'
Sakho is next to have gone to ground after a challenge for the ball against Lucho. The 21- year -old captain is up and running again , however.
  • 17'
Pastore tries a sweet ball, but is felled by Alou Diarra. The referee has sen it, and it is a free-kick to the visitors, but again, they fail to make a serious onslaught on Mandanda's goal.
  • 16'
Andre Ayew buys off a cheap throwin from Menez, the latter doesn't look too happy. Lionel Jaffredo whistles for a foul on Menez. PSG take it quickly, but they're not fooling Lucho who intercepts well.
  • 13'
    Yellow Card Stéphane M'Bia
  • 13'
Meanwhile, Stephane Mbia becomes the first in the book after a rough challenge.
  • 13'
Free-kick to PSG on the halfway line. Wasted as Amalfitano takes charge on the wing. Marseille look more aliev since the goal. Remy tries to take on Lugano, but the Uruguayan has the upper hand.
  • 12'
The camera pans on Leonardo and QSI Chairman Nasser Al Khelifi in the stands at Stade Velodrome. They are sitting pretty comfortably. Can't say the same for a shifty Antoine Koumbouare on the bench. That goal must've stunned him.
  • 10'
It's Marseille 1-0 PSG, and the fans have gone crazy. PSG, with all the possession so far, don't know what to do with it. Jeremy Menez shows initiative, fashioning a chance straight after, but it goes wide of Mandanda's goal.
  • 9'
    Assist César Azpilicueta
  • 9'
    Goal Loïc Remy
AND WE HAVE A GOAL EARLY ON!!! FANTASTIC HEADER FROM REMY. Great cross into the middle by Cesar Azpilicueta. Pin-point, and it mets the head of Remy, who jumps higher than Lugano to power home past Sirigu.
  • 7'
Christophe Jallet is down with on the ground after a head on collision with Jeremy Morel. Physio on.
  • 5'
Pastore and Armand intertwine neatly, but the former's advances is well kept in check by France captain Alou Diarra. Free-kick handed to OM after Matuidi's infringement on Diawara.
  • 3'
Jeremy Menez - with a new haircut - floats a cross behind the OM defence towards Gameiro, but the former Lorient striker fails to adjust his bearings, and is dummied out by Cesar Azpilicueta.
  • 3'
Calm opening despite the raucuous support inside the iconic arena. Salvatore Sirigu calmly drills the ball to Lugano despite the advancing pressure from Remy.
  • 2'
Marseille in good possession in the opening seconds. Well worth noting there are no PSG fans due to an LFP ruling after violence in previous matches.
  • To a deafening roar, we are away in the Derby de France!
  • PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelifi is in the stands watching this one. Could David Beckham be too?
  • The teams are in the tunnel. Relaxed faces all round. They emerge to a tumultous Stade Velodrome. Minutes away.
  • Well worth noting that the hosts won this fixture in March 2-1, as well as scoring in each of the last ten games against PSG. Les Parisiens won the reverse fixture in November 2010 by the same scoreline.
  • It's a slightly subdued Stade Velodrome - the iconic stadium has a reduced capacity of 40,000 due to renovations, but it really is an intensifying atmosphere in Marseille. Referee is Lionel Jaffredo tonight.
  • TEAM NEWS: Didier Deschamps hands Jeremy Morel a staritng role, with Benoit Cheyrou dropped in favour of the returning Stephane Mbia. Morgan Amalfitano replaces Mathieu Valbuena on the wing with Loic Remy spearheading the attack. PSG drop Ceara and Saka Tiene who was injured yesterday, in favour of Sylvain Armand and Christophe Jallet with Javier Pastore being the star-man just behind Kevin Gameiro.
  • PARIS SG (4-2-3-1): Sirigu, Jallet, Sakho, Lugano, Armand; Sissoko, Matuidi, Menez, Pastore, Nene; Gameiro.
  • TEAM NEWS: MARSEILLE: (4-3-3) Mandanda; Morel, Diawara, N'Koulou, Azpilicueta; Diarra, Mbia, Lucho Gonzalez; Amalfitano, A Ayew, Remy.
  • Results to tell you about in Ligue 1 today. Lisandro Lopez scored a brace, as Lyon beat Auxerre 3-0 with Lorient defeating Nice 1-0. Montpellier top the table after an Olivier Giroud hat-trick downed Sochaux 3-0. PSG could return top with a win tonight.
  • For the big-spending PSG, defeat isn't really an option either. Boss Antoine Koumbouare, already feeling the heat despite topping Ligue 1 (now second with a game in hand), has been told by sporting director Leonardo that his job is safe, whatever the result in tonight's clasico. A 1-0 defeat to lowly Nancy at home last weekend means Koumbouare is probably desperate for a result.
  • Marseille will be aiming for the win after a disappointing week. Beaten 1-0 by Montpellier last weekend, Didier Deschamps men then suffered a 1-0 defeat to Olympiakos in the Champions League on Wednesday - a result which delayed their progress to the last 16 until matchday six. Off the pitch, a blazing row between the 43 year old boss and striker Andre Pierre Gignac means the latter will not feature in this match, and is relegated to the reserves.
  • Now, the rivalry between the two runs deep. Marseille, representing the working class popular south, take on the capital club, representing the affluent north in matches that normally go far beyond the football pitch. Make no mistake, this one will be electric.
  • Enough of the names, here's mine. I'm Mohammed Ali, and I'll be guiding you through proceedings at the Stade Velodrome for the next two hours. Of course, as always I'll be available to be contacted through Twitter. Send your messages, musings, comments, thoughts and predictions to @mohammedali_93. Team news to follow shortly.
  • Bon soir tout le monde! And welcome to Goal.com's LIVE commentary. It's the big one in France. The one all French football fans search for once the fixture list is revealed. Yes, it is Olympique de Marseille against Paris Saint-Germain. A fixture steeped in history. Call it Le Classique, Derby de France or simply a 'Clasico' - we're calling it huge.
