D. Diamantakos 37', 66'
Olympiakos Piraeus won 5 - 4 on penalties
S. Jovetić 35'
A. Kolarov 53'
That's all we have time for, as goals from Jovetic and Kolarov weren't enough to secure the Citizens' passage into the next time - due to a brace from Diamantakos! I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time!
FULL TIME! Both Man City and Olympiakos will be heading home from the International Champions Cup after the Greek champions triumph in a 5-4 penalty shootout win. They couldn't separate themselves in normal time, but Michel's men held their nerve from the spot.
PAPAZOGLOU SCORES! Hart guesses the wrong way and the striker slides the ball into the bottom corner! Olympiakos win the shootout! Man City 4-5 Olympiakos!
RICHARDS MISSES! He skies it, firing high into the stands! Awful penalty! Man City 4-4 Olympiakos!
BOUCHALAKIS SCORES! He sends Hart the wrong way, firing into the top left corner brilliantly! Man City 4-4 Olympiakos!
GUIDETTI SCORES! The Swede fires into the bottom left corner, Roberto couldn't get near it! Man City 4-3 Olympiakos!
PAPADOPOULOS MISSES! Hart sticks out an important leg to deny the central defender! Man City 3-3 Olympiakos!
ZUCULINI SCORES! Calm finish from the Argentine, who sends Roberto the wrong way and slides the ball home! Man City 3-3 Olympiakos!
GHAZARYAN SCORES! He sends Hart the wrong way and gives his side the lead! Great penalty! Man City 2-3 Olympiakos!
SINCLAIR MISSES! Roberto guesses right yet again, getting down well to push the former Chelsea youngster's effort away! Man City 2-2 Olympiakos!
KOLOVOS SCORES! Hart guesses the right way, but the striker lifts the finish over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net! Man City 2-2 Olympiakos!
MILNER MISSES! The England international fires low to the goalkeeper's right, but Roberto gets down excellently to claw the ball away! Man City 2-1 Olympiakos!
DOSSEVI MISSES! Hart dives to his left and makes a comfortable save! Man City 2-1 Olympiakos!
KOLAROV SCORES! The captain goes for power once again, thumping the ball beyond Roberto and inside the right-hand post! Man City 2-1 Olympiakos!
SAMARIS SCORES! Hart is sent the wrong way, with the midfielder dispatching a great finish into the bottom left corner! Man City 1-1 Olympiakos!
DAVID SILVA SCORES! Roberto guesses correctly, but the Spaniard's finish is too good, nestling beyond his outstretched glove. Man City 1-0 Olympiakos!
90' + 3'
FULL TIME! We are going to penalties in Minnesota, where Man City need a win to have any chance of progressing. Second half goals from Kolarov and Diamantakos weren't enough to separate the sides, meaning that we need the additional entertainment of a shoot-out!
90' + 2'
We're into the second and last minute of stoppage time. Milner and Guidetti challenge deep in the Greek champions' penalty area, but can only deflect the ball out of play for a goal-kick.
Milner makes his way to the byline yet again, but his cross is nodded clear at the near post by Papadopoulos. Man City try to force the issue, but Sinclair blazes high and wide after cutting in from the left-hand side.
Only a few minutes remain, with Olympiakos requiring a winning goal before a penalty shootout if they are to go any further in the International Champions Cup. Michel's men win a late corner, but the delivery is terrible and the ball curls directly out of play for a goal-kick.
Dossevi looks to outpace Rekik, with the Dutchman looking dead on his feet, but the young central defender does just enough to hold up his man and force him away from goal. There are certainly a few tired legs out there now!
Olympiakos now take their turn to have a dominant spell in possession, creating plenty of angles and working their way upfield. Kolovos is eventually found while making a great run through towards Hart's goal, but the striker appears surprised to have received the ball and his first touch lets him down!
The tempo has really slowed, with the crowd entertaining themselves with a Mexican wave instead of paying too much attention to proceedings on the field. Man City are being careful in possession, with Olympiakos happy to sit off the ball in numbers.
Ten minutes of normal time remains, with Olympiakos needing a win in normal time to ensure their passage into the next round of this competition. Man City are also looking for a winning goal, but both appear to be extremely conscious of leaving themselves light at the back.
We're back underway after a quick water break. Milner is found on the right flank by a well-weighted crossfield pass, before stabbing the ball into the path of Silva. The former Valencia man scampers towards the edge of the box before unleashing another curling effort across goal, but again Roberto is alert to the danger and palms it away!
Kolovos drops a shoulder before delivering a good cross from the left-hand side, but the ball evades a couple of red and white shirts lurking at the back post. The two sides come in for their second water break, to take on more important fluids before the end of the 90 minutes.
Jovetic is replaced by Sinclair for the final quarter of an hour, with the Montenegrin continuing to look bright in this pre-season preparation. In Sinclair, the English champions can look to utilise his yard of pace against the clumsy Papadopoulos.
Kolovos looks to break beyond Man City's last defender of Boyata, but the Belgian stands up strong enough to deny the substitute forward. Olympiakos are only leaving one man up top, with the rest of Michel's personnel slotting into shape to close passing lanes and frustrate.
Cagey stuff from both sides, as they're perfectly aware of the consequence of conceding the next goal in this contest. If the score stays as it is, we'll be heading straight to a penalty shooutout, without an extra time period.
Twenty minutes remain, with so many changes leading to play having the potential to become a little bit fractured. Olympiakos are sitting in their shape comfortably, looking to prey on any poor passes or mistakes from the Citizens.
Another three substitutions for Olympiakos, who are looking to inject some additional fresh legs into this game. Man City are somewhat shellshocked after conceding out of the blue, but will need to regain their composure quickly if they are to taste victory.
Goal Dimitrios Diamantakos
GOOOOOOOOAL! OLYMPIAKOS EQUALISE ONCE AGAIN! Diamantakos has the ball in the back of the net for the second time today, after ghosting past Hart and slotting into an empty net! It's a goal from nowhere for the Greek champions, but they'll take great confidence from that!
Man City are happy to hold onto the ball, making Olympiakos chase in hot conditions. Jovetic and Guidetti look to combine following a lofted ball upfield, but the latter is mobbed by three red and white shirts and Olympiakos break.
Three changes for Olympiakos, as Michel looks to spice things up and get his team looking rejuvenated. Pellegrini has the upper hand at the moment, with Milner in particular looking to impress his coach.
Half an hour remains, with Olympiakos requiring a goal to take this contest to a penalty shootout. Michel's men aren't showing the same intensity this side of half-time, but are still composed on the ball and moving it around patiently. The heat is taking its toll, perhaps.
Man City continue to force the issue in the second half, with Olympiakos' lack of half-time changes perhaps leading to some tired legs. Silva is found out on the left-hand side, but a well-timed tackle from Manolas denies him.
GOOD SAVE FROM ROBERTO! David Silva cuts back onto his left foot on the edge of the Olympiakos penalty area, before unleashing a curling effort which appears destined for the bottom corner! Roberto stretches out a very strong wrist to deny the Spain international!
Milner gets to the byline once again, before slotting an excellent cross through the corridor of uncertainty! Nobody is there to meet it, but Jovetic picks up the loose ball at the back post, before Elabdellaoui clears the Montenegrin's off-balance effort.
Guidetti is picked out by Kolarov, but the former Feyenoord loanee complains that he's being tugged back by Papadopoulos. The referee isn't interested, but it appeared that the Greek defender continues to riskily play on the edge of the law.
Penalty Goal Aleksandar Kolarov
GOOOOOAL! KOLAROV GIVES MAN CITY THE LEAD ONCE MORE! The captain fires his spot-kick beyond Roberto and into the top right-hand corner, leaving the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance! Great penalty and the Citizens lead 2-1.
PENALTY FOR MAN CITY! David Silva and Jovetic exchange neat passes, before the Spaniard is felled by a clumsy, outstretched leg from Manolas.
Guidetti has half a chance deep in the Olympiakos penalty area, but Papadopoulos puts in a very important block and clearance to deny the Swedish striker. Despite plenty of changes, Man City have been excellent since the restart.
Milner is heavily involved from the off, breaking down the right-hand side and trying to deliver from the byline early. The atmosphere is still subdued in the stadium, but the tempo continues to be fairly impressive considering the occasion.
James Milner, David Silva, John Guidetti, Bruno Zuculini, Micah Richards and Javi Garcia come into the eleven for Man City, replacing Navas, Clichy, Yaya Toure, Dzeko, Fernando and Nasri. Olympiakos manage to somehow not concede, despite Jovetic going incredibly close at the back post and forcing a great save out of Roberto!
We are back underway in the second half in Minnesota! Plenty of changes for the Citizens too!
Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes time for all of the second half action, with both sides looking to have the potential to win this one! If the scores remain level, however, we'll be heading straight to a penalty shootout.
Man City have had the better of the chances, with Clichy and Kolarov causing real problems from wide areas, but the likes of Nasri and Dzeko haven't quite been able to convert. Jovetic can feel aggrieved that he didn't receive a penalty for a clumsy sliding tackle from Papadopoulos, but Pellegrini's men still have plenty of time to find another goal.
HALF TIME! We head into the break with both sides level, with a goal apiece! Two goals in two minutes, one from Jovetic and the other from Diamantakos ensure that we'll be heading into the second 45 minutes with everything still to play for!
45' + 2'
Big chance for Nasri! Good work down the left once again results in the Frenchman bearing down on goal from six yards out, but he misses a cut-back from the byline by a matter of inches! Navas then picks out Dzeko with an intelligent lofted pass, but the former Wolfsburg man passes wide at the back post!
Jovetic believes that he deserves a penalty, but the referee isn't interested! The Montenegrin forward races beyond Papadopoulos, but appeared to be brought to ground by a clumsy challenge! It looks to be a spot-kick, but the match official waves play on! The Olympiakos defender is a lucky man!
Navas and Clichy combine well down the right once again, before the latter delivers a cross. Manolas challenges with Dzeko at the near post, before the ball bobbles behind, with the referee deeming the final touch to have come off the Man City striker. A goal-kick is awarded.
Yaya Toure spreads play to Kolarov on the left, but the Serbian's eventual cross is half-cleared at the near post! The rebound falls to Jovetic, who looks to try his luck with a first-time half volley, but Dominguez hurtles into a fair sliding challenge to deny the Citizens' goalscorer!
It's nearly another goal, with Man City having one chalked off on this occasion. Kolarov breaks down the left before sliding a pass into Dzeko's path, which the Bosnian forward backheels to Nasri. The Frenchman scampers into the box and finishes, but the linesman's flag is raised once again!
Goal Dimitrios Diamantakos
GOOOOOAL! DIAMANTAKOS LEVELS THINGS UP! The linesman considered raising his flag for offside, but thinks better of it, allowing for play to continue. Kasami is able to cut a pass back to the far post, which Diamantakos controls and bundles beyond Hart!
Goal Stevan Jovetic
GOOOOOOOAL! JOVETIC OPENS THE SCORING FOR MAN CITY! Manolas is able to hook away a dangerous delivery from Kolarov, as the Citizens pile on the pressure, but the English champions attack once again. The Montenegrin uses a couple of stepovers, before spotting a gap at the near post and sliding home a clever finish!
GREAT EFFORT FROM KOLAROV! The Serbia international gallops down the left-hand side, before skipping past Elabdellaoui as though he wasn't even there in order to break into the penalty area. He unleashes a powerful shot, but Roberto is able to beat it away!
Both sets of players come in for a water break, due to the warm conditions in Minnesota this afternoon. Both coaches are keen to imbue their players with advice after half an hour of observance, before we get back underway again in a minute or so.
Around a quarter of an hour remains before the half-time interval, but neither team has thus far been able to find the quality required to find the breakthrough goal. Olympiakos have been daring when breaking forward, but Man City have had the best chances of the contest.
Another good cross from Clichy almost provides Dzeko with the ammunition to net the opener, but the Bosnia international fails to turn the ball towards goal. The Frenchman is a real threat down the right-hand side, despite being in a slightly unfamiliar position.
Dzeko battles his way through several challenges in the penalty area, before he goes one tackle too many and loses control of the ball against Masuaku. Navas tries to pick up the pieces, but Olympiakos clear.
YAYA TOURE GOES CLOSE! Jovetic receives possession, before dropping a shoulder and stabbing a pass into the feet of the Ivory Coast international. The former Barcelona midfielder looked to curl the ball into the bottom corner from 25 yards, with his shot having Roberto worried, but his attempt bobbles wide of the upright.
Saviola manages to meet a back post cross, but can only loop his header into the arms of Hart. Moments earlier, Boyata perhaps slid in unfairly on Diamantakos as the Greek forward looked to race in behind the Citizens' lines, but the referee waved away calls for a penalty.
Boyata does brilliantly to outmuscle Masuaku, as the left-back tries to break forward once again. Despite being only 20-years-old, the Frenchman has been excellent for Olympiakos during this tournament, but Man City's Belgian defender manages to wrestle possession from his man and clear.
Olympiakos take something of a breather, with Man City starting to see plenty more of the ball. Navas feeds the overlapping Clichy, before the Frenchman delivers a wonderful ball in between Papadopoulos and Roberto! Jovetic is able to recover the cross at the opposite byline, but his cut-back is intercepted and cleared!
Man City are stopped in their tracks by the offside flag yet again, as Navas looks to race down the right-hand side and pick out Jovetic at the back post. The linesman is giving his decisions fairly late, which appears to be frustrating the Citizens' players rather severely.
JOVETIC FIRES OVER! A good run from Dzeko is picked out well from deep, before the Bosnia international cuts back inside and feeds his supporting striker partner. The former Fiorentina man races onto the pass, but leans back too much as he tries his luck, resulting in his effort ballooning over the crossbar!
The pitch isn't in fantastic condition, given that it has been recently relaid, but Olympiakos continue to try and move the ball around sharply. Maniatis and Samaris have really been able to push up and support despite their deeper lying roles.
The opening quarter of an hour has certainly been dominated by the Greek champions, with Hart looking a little bit unsettled with the ball at his feet. The England international goalkeeper might just be a little more nervous than usual with competitor Willy Cabellero watching on.
Olympiakos are forced into the first change of the match, as Siovas can't continue. Papadopoulos is the man to replace him, as the defender may have suffered a recurring injury.
Man City aren't to be drawn in, despite their opposition trying to retain possession patiently, almost trying to bait Pellegrini's men out of their shape. The Greek champions are probably looking the better of the two sides thus far, as Dominguez fails to test Hart from range once again.
Kasami tries his luck from an audacious range, but Hart is happy to watch the former Fulham youngster's shot head high and wide of the target, to some jeers from the crowd. Olympiakos are looking well-drilled and continue to pressure the ball impressively.
Dzeko races through on goal after being found by an excellent lofted through ball, but the linesman's flag is raised in rather delayed fashion for offside. Man City certainly have had some luck by playing directly and vertically in the opening stages. Siovas heads off the field for treatment for Olympiakos, leaving them with ten men for the moment.
NASRI GOES CLOSE! Yaya Toure bursts through the heart of the Olympiakos midfield, before being found by a good long ball from Clichy. The Ivory Coast international spreads play to Nasri on the left, who hesitates, before dragging his eventual shot wide of the far post!
Kolarov sees a shot charged down on the edge of the penalty area, before Olympiakos try to immediately break upfield once again. Michel's men are definitely keen to exploit any gaps left on the counter, with the likes of Dominguez and Saviola having the technical ability to do so.
Saviola has a half chance, but the former Barcelona forward can only muster up a tame effort which bobbles past Hart's back post. Man City certainly haven't had it all their own way in the opening minutes, with Michel's high intensity, organised side looking to take the game to the English champions.
Olympiakos have a goal ruled out! A lovely combination from the Greek champions leads to Dominguez racing through on goal and curling a delicate effort around Hart, but the linesman's flag is raised! It's a composed start to proceedings inside a rather subdued stadium.
We are underway in the first half! Man City are wearing navy blue, while Olympiakos are donning their customary red and white stripes.
There are only ten minutes remaining before kick-off, so be sure to stick around for all of the action, as Man City look to overcome Olympiakos in Minnesota. Plenty of attacking quality is on show for both outfits, which should hopefully promise us plenty of goals and exciting forward play!
