  • Thanks for joining us for today's game, stay tuned for the rest of the afternoon's action coming up on Goal.com.
  • Not one for the purists, particularly in the second half. Don't expect to see this game featured too heavily on Match of the Day tonight.
  • Sam Allardyce will be happy with the clean sheet and an away point, as The Hammers did a good job of unsettling the hosts. Chris Hughton is still in search of his first win, and may see this as two points dropped against the increasingly unambitious visitors.
  • Harry Kane made a promising impact when he came on as a sub, but the hosts were lacking in quality all day.
  • The final whistle is blown and that ends a slightly frustrating afternoon for the hosts.
  • 90' + 3'
Another chance for Norwich, as Kane finds space on the left of the box and pulls it back for Snodgrass. His shot is cleared off the line by O'Brien though. Let off for West Ham.
  • 90' + 1'
That was the youngster's chance to become a hero on his debut.
  • 90' + 1'
It is wasted though, and from the clearance Norwich break in numbers. The ball is laid off to Kane down the left channel, but he fires tamely at Jaaskelainen.
  • 90'
Silly challenge from Bassong on Jarvis gives West Ham a free-kick in a dangerous position out on the right hand side.
  • 87'
Substitution Ricardo Vaz Te Yossi Benayoun
  • 87'
In truth, he can't do much worse than Vaz Te, who he replaces. The Portuguese forward can file that performance under "One to forget".
  • 86'
Yossi Benayoun is someone who can provide a bit of craft and quality, and he has got five minutes to pull something out of the bag here after entering the field.
  • 85'
Kane almost adds that bit of sparkle we've been lacking. The young striker picks the ball up on the edge of the box, nutmegs the defender and curls a shot just wide of the far post. Best bit of play we've seen in a while.
  • 83'
Norwich will surely be growing slightly frustrated now. The Canaries have been unable to find the required quality to unlock this stubborn West Ham side.
  • 80'
A fine game of headers and volleys going on at the moment. Not much to choose between the two sides in that department.
  • 79'
Vaz Te has had a bit of a shocker this afternoon, and has just added to his collection of misplaced crosses.
  • 76'
Fair to say, while this game is not short of effort, there is not a great deal of quality on display.
  • 75'
A couple of West Ham corners follow, but Norwich defend them well. The home side have largely dealt with the Hammer's aerial threat very well so far.
  • 74'
Maiga does well to steal the ball from Bassong, and has the presence of mind to pick out Matt Jarvis in the box. He can't get the ball fully under control though, and his shot is blocked.
  • 72'
Grant Holt hasn't has too much joy up front for Norwich, and he is now replaced by 19-year-old Harry Kane. The on-loan Spurs youngster comes on for his Norwich debut.
  • 71'
    Substitution Grant Holt Harry Kane
  • 70'
West Ham are playing with more width since the introduction of Jarvis, but they haven't managed to find the right cross into the box yet. Not through lack of trying, mind...
  • 69'
The ball has barely a grass stain upon it, as it has been airborne for most of the last few minutes.
  • 65'
Jarvis gets his first bit of space, cutting inside from the right to fire in a threatening-looking cross with his left foot. It goes over everyone though, much to Norwich's relief.
  • 64'
Simeon Jackson has been full of running today, and maybe that has caught up with him. The Canadian has travelled pretty far over the international break last week, and he is now replaced by Steve Morison.
  • 63'
    Substitution Simeon Jackson Steve Morison
  • 62'
The ball is whipped into the box and headed back across goal onto the head of Barnett. He can only direct his header straight into the keeper's arms though.
  • 61'
Mark Noble brings down Snodgrass on the right hand side, not far from the penalty area. He is incredulous when a free-kick is given, but shouldn't be.
  • 59'
Nolan finds a good pass into the path of Vaz Te, who runs in behind. He has Maiga waiting in the box, but fires his cross behind for a goal-kick. Disappointing from the mercurial Portuguese striker, who has not enjoyed his best of games.
  • 57'
    Substitution Carlton Cole Modibo Maiga
  • 57'
    Substitution Matthew Taylor Matthew Jarvis
  • 57'
Carlton Cole has had a largely unfruitful afternoon, and he is replaced by Modibo Maiga. The Malian will need better service than his predecessor if he is to have any luck today. Perhaps Matt Jarvis can provide it, as the winger has come on in the place of Matt Taylor.
  • 56'
Norwich carve a bit of space for Howson on the edge of the box, but his shot is straight into Jaaskelainen's arms.
  • 54'
Still not much flow to the game, with free-kicks and long balls the main features at the moment.
  • 50'
Jackson has a better effort minutes later though, turning in space to fire a vicious drive that Jaaskelainen does well to palm over.
  • 49'
Nice run from midfield by Howson, who links up well with Johnson in the centre. He passes it to Jackson but his shot is deflected over the bar. The resultant corner comes to nothing.
  • 48'
Ricardo Vaz Te has the first effort on goal of the second half, but it's very speculative. His cross-cum-shot drifts harmlessly over the bar.
  • 47'
Neither team has settled into possession as yet, with th ball being given away cheaply at both ends.
  • 46'
The second half is now underway.
  • West Ham are already lining up for the second half, but there's no sign of Norwich yet.
  • Otherwise Norwich will be resonably happy with that first half, although they will surely be looking to get hold of the ball a bit more in the second half. Sam Allardyce will be satisfied with a textbook away performance so far. The Hammers have soaked up anything that has been thrown at them, and looked threatening going down the other end.
  • On closer inspection, it looks like Foy got that call just about right. It was very close, and he had to make an instant decision, but you have to give the ref credit for not pointing to the spot. The home fans don't agree though.
  • Chris Foy blows the whistle for half-time, and it has been an even game here so far. Norwich might feel aggrieved not to have been given a penalty, and The Hammers could rue a couple of missed chances. Still level though.
  • 45'
Neither team is really getting their foot on the ball here, with long balls causing the most problems for either side.
  • 44'
Not Russell Grant though. This is getting confusing.
  • 44'
And by Russell, I mean Grant of course.
  • 44'
Russell Holt gets a cross into the box from the right, but it sails over the bar for a goal-kick.
  • 41'
The resultant free kick is wasted by Norwich, as Johnson hits it straight into the wall.
  • 40'
    Yellow Card James Collins
  • 40'
Free kick right on the edge of the box for Norwich, and it could have been worse. James Collins dives in to haul down Surman. It seemed to be on the line, and therefore could have been a penalty. Very close though.
  • 38'
No side has dominated possession here, and that is reflected in the 50/50 stats.
  • 37'
Jackson is caught offside again. Close call though. He's getting nearer each time.
  • 35'
Diame wins the pull well in midfield, surges forward and plays a one-two. His shot doesn't match his endeavour though, and it's comfortably taken by Ruddy.
  • 34'
Another chance for the hosts. Ruddy's long ball somehow finds its way into the West Ham box, and Snodgrass lays it off to Holt. He drags his shot wide though. Should have done better really.
  • 33'
It has been end to end stuff here at Carrow Road. Entertaining.
  • 32'
Norwich are putting good pressure on the West Ham defence, not giving them any time on the ball.
  • 29'
Good triple save from Jaaskelainen there, Norwich best moment of the match in front of goal.
  • 29'
Another chance from the resultant corner, as Snodgrass's shot is parried by Jaaskelainen and a goalmouth scramble ensues. The ball is pinged about in the box, falling to Holt, but his shot is also saved and the ball eventually goes behind off Barnett's head.
  • 28'
Chance for Norwich. Jaaskelainen plays it short to O'Brien, who loses it under pressure from Snodgrass. The cross is blocked by Collins though, with Holt lurking.
  • 27'
West Ham aren't letting Norwich settle into possession at all, and Allardyce will probably be the happier of the two bosses so far. His side have enjoyed the two best chances too.
  • 25'
James Collins gets carried away by the crowd's urge to shoot and does just that from long range. The crowd's advice was ill-advised and it's well wide.
  • 24'
Norwich appear to have concluded that if you can't beat them you might as well join them, pumping long balls up to Holt and Jackson in a mirror image of West Ham's tactics.
  • 23'
Mohamed Diame is using the ball intelligently for West Ham, spreading the play every time he gets the ball.
  • 22'
Ricardo Vaz Te is clearly offside as Matt Taylor lofts a ball into his path.
  • 20'
Down the other end, Norwich have a corner, which is played low into the box to the feet of Grant Holt. His space is quickly closed down though and the shot is blocked.
  • 19'
Another great chance for West Ham! O'Brien gets to the byline before cutting it back into the box. Kevin Nolan is lurking (as usual), but strikes the ball too close too Ruddy, who reacts well. Another let off for Norwich.
  • 17'
Snograss then pounces on the loose ball and runs into the area, only to go down easily under a slight challenge from Kevin Nolan. He was looking for a penalty there, barely any contact.
  • 16'
Bradley Johnson is brought down right on the edge of the box by Mark Noble. Robert Snodgrass steps up and fires the free-kick straight inbto the wall. Disappointing.
  • 14'
Simeon Jackson is caught offside again. He's looking lively though.
  • 13'
Great chance for West Ham! Diame plays a great pass out to Vaz Te on the right, who jinks into the box and gets a strike away which is parried by Ruddy. The ball is only half-cleared to Matt Taylor on the edge of the box, but his shot on his right foot is dragged wide with the goal at his mercy. A let-off for Norwich.
  • 11'
Jackson is caught just offside as he looks to get in behind for Norwich. Close call, but correct.
  • 10'
Carlton Cole is looking a little isolated up front for West Ham, as he struggles to get hold of the long balls pumped up to him from deep.
  • 8'
Norwich are getting the ball down now and passing it around nicely.
  • 6'
And Andrew Surman has the best effort so far, cutting in from the left of the area and curling a shot just wide of the far post. Good effort.
  • 5'
There's a bit of back and forth going on, as goalkeepers take it in turns to punt long balls into each others' arms.
  • 2'
And West Ham reply by going straight down the other end to win a corner, which falls to Kevin Nolan but his strike goes wide.
  • 1'
Early pressure for the home side as Simeon Jackson uses his pace to get in behind but his cross is easily cleared.
  • 1'
Referee Chris Foy gets the game underway as the home side kick off.
  • Chris Hughton is still hunting for his first PL win as Norwich boss, having drawn his last two games for The Canaries.
  • Andy Carroll's unfortunate injury on his debut means there is a place for Carlton Cole up front, who is starting his 150th game for the Hammers.
