Saved comfortably once from Jovetic and otherwise did not have much to do, aside from cover his posts as the crosses rained in late on.
After an early error went unpunished, he turned in a solid debut and is still an athletic figure at 33. Could form a decent partnership with Bassong.
A couple of mishaps with the ball aside, he played very well in keeping a lid on Jovetic, Negredo and then Dzeko and was particularly strong in the air.
Often did not have a direct opponent as Silva drifted inside. Combined well with Redmond on occasion on the right.
Made a vital, potentially goal-saving tackle to deny Navas and had a good effort of his own deflected off target.
Didn't get himself involved often enough on the flank, and was frustrated by the number of fouls committed against him.
Started very well, and none of the City defenders really had an answer to him in one-on-one situations. But his crossing was often wasteful and he should have done better with a good chance in the box. Faded as the match wore on.
Gives Norwich much-needed defensive security in the middle of the park, and was a big reason behind Silva's muted impact.
The quietest of Norwich's midfielders, and did not always gain complete control over his passing. He dug in and formed part of a solid defensive wall, though.
Norwich's biggest threat on the ball, he looked like the player who might provide the touch of class the Canaries generally lacked. Saw an excellent header brilliantly pushed away by Hart.
Worked hard, but did not get hold of the ball a great deal and was sometimes a little slow in reacting to situations as they developed. Should have targeted Demichelis more than he did.
Made one superb save to deny Fer's header, and commanded his box well.
Frequently looked uncomfortable, especially in possession. A stronger attack than Norwich's might have capitalised.
Did a good job with whichever winger was on his flank, one slip which allowed Redmond in aside. Distributed the ball well too.
Attacked with his usual enthusiasm and shot narrowly wide in the first half but Redmond asked some questions of him defensively.
Reliable as ever, but he does not appear to be enjoying the lack of a regular partner beside him.
Not really involved in threatening areas. The Chelsea defeat has either knocked his confidence or Pellegrini's, because he sat deep and did not attack with his usual gusto.
His passing was good and he did run on to balls behind Olsson on occasion, although he was denied one very good chance by the left-back's tackle. Did not get the opportunity to carry the ball much himself, though.
Norwich will have watched Chelsea subdue the playmaker, and did a reasonably good job on him themselves. City need to lighten the creative burden on him, but that will be a difficult task until Samir Nasri's return.
Used the ball well in central midfield but looked less comfortable defensively, with not a great deal of cover behind him. Was lucky to avoid a booking for a cynical foul in the first half and received one when he tried it again after the break.
All the bullishness that he normally supplies was there, but the touch of quality needed to break the deadlock seemed to be missing. A frustrating afternoon.
Had some bright moments - a half-volley that was well saved, a pass to put Navas in on goal - but did not provide the punch City were missing without Aguero, floating around more in the style of Silva. Replaced by Dzeko.
