Was a little suspect under high balls and even came out early at half-time to try and address the problem. Could do nothing about either goal.
Looked to get forward and help Elliott Bennett as much as possible on the right-hand side and managed to keep Steven Pienaar pretty quiet throughout.
Could not always deal with the movement of Nikica Jelavic and Tim Cahill. Also looked to quickly to put the ball long instead of building play gradually on the wings.
The home debutant looked solid defensively throughout and benefitted from what looked like a preference to attack the left-hand side from the Toffees.
On his return to the team kept Magaye Gueye relatively quiet throughout and also played a good ball through to Wes Hoolahan in the build-up to the Norwich opener.
Was neat and tidy in possession keeping attacking moves going by linking well with Wes Hoolahan and Jonny Howson. Also broke up play well for the home side.
Linked up well on the left-hand side with Adam Drury and set up Jonny Howson’s goal after great movement on the wing.
Played in a more central role and quietly went about his business in the midfield engine room alongside Fox.
Grabbed the important equaliser by making a tremendous run into the Everton box. Tried to provide the link between midfield and Grant Holt but was not always able to do so.
Bright on the right-hand side. He always looked a threat when running at the defence though his final ball seemed to lack somewhat.
As always, the Canaries skipper gave 100 per cent throughout but did not always get the rewards his effort perhaps deserved. Did find himself in the right place, though, at the right time for the equalising goal.
Was poor with his distribution and almost got his team into trouble when spilling a routine shot from Jonny Howson. Another spill led to the second Norwich goal.
Kept Grant Holt at bay for most of the afternoon but the Norwich captain ensured the Frenchman did not get a moment’s rest throughout the 90 minutes.
Struggled to contain the movement of Wes Hoolahan on his flank and too often his long balls were aimless instead of looking properly for Nikica Jelavic or Tim Cahill.
Was given a hard time throughout by the movement of Jonny Howson but stood up to it admirably. Also provided the cross for Jelavic’s opening goal.
Was booed every time he touched the ball for the Merseysiders but always looked an attacking threat for them. Kept enough pressure on Elliott Bennett to ensure he could not provide any telling crosses.
Also seemed effective in the Everton engine room but it was little surprise when Marouane Fellaini was called upon to come on in the second half and add more of an attacking threat.
Was kept pretty quiet for the most of the game but managed to keep his wits about him more than anyone to provide the cross for Nikica Jelavic’s second goal.
Shepherded the Everton midfield pretty well and kept the team ticking. Recovered from a shaky start as Norwich began the game brightly.
As usual, covered every blade of grass for the away side and provided that crucial link between Nikica Jelavic and the rest of the Everton midfield.
The striker has been an instant hit on Merseyside with his attitude and desire to score goals. Came up trumps today for the Toffees with his two strikes.
Had a bright opening to the game but was taken off with an injury at half-time.
- 31 J. Steer
Came on for Adam Drury and did well keeping Seamus Coleman very quiet out wide
Came on the closing moments and had far too little time to have an effect on proceedings.
- 4 B. Johnson
- 5 S. Morison
Provided a different threat to Everton after coming on and could have scored at least one as a result of his intelligent running. Did well to set up Grant Holt.
- 1 J. Mucha
- 5 J. Heitinga
Came on at half-time for Everton but was reined in throughout the half very well by a combination of Adam Drury and Kyle Naughton.
Added an extra dimension to the Everton team after he came on for Phil Neville, though will be disappointed with how the team conceded their second goal.
- 11 D. Stracqualursi
- 14 J. McFadden
Stretched the Norwich defence a couple of times but was too busy defending himself at times to really trouble the home side.
