Canini blasts a shot from the right wing over the bar. A very ambitious drive, and one that ended in the stands as well.
The tempo has dropped in recent minutes, and both teams seem unwilling to put any additional effort in this game.

Emanuelson with a cross from the left for Pato deep in Cagliari's penalty area, but Astori rises and heads the ball away for a corner on the right. Nothing comes off that set piece, however.
AC Milan have not went past the half line for some good 1o minutes now. Great pressing and play by Cagliari.
RAGATZU! Cossu was picked out by Biondini on the left side of the box, and squared the ball after taking a couple of steps, but Thiago Silva made a vital interception ahead of substitute Daniele Ragatzu.
Lazzari cleverly flicks the ball past Abate on the left wing, manages to recover it near the byline, but not to retain it as the defender tracks back and dispossesses him.
Biondini and combined well with Canini, who in turn crossed for Acquafresca who flashed a header wide of the left post from inside the box. Yepes has allowed the young striker too much chances on goal already.
Flamini with a sub-par shot from outside the box as he sends a low finish right into the hands of Agazzi. Disappointing.
'Super Pippo' is warming up AC Milan! The old fox returns from injury, and it would be great to see him score tonight!
ACQUAFRESCA! The striker was picked out by Agostini with a decent cross from the left, but was just a step away from connecting with ball and poking it past Abbiati from six yards out.
Flamini comes on for Gattuso. A great goal by the midfielder tonight, and a good performance overall.
Missiroli leaves for Ragatzu. Not a great game by the midfielder, who struggled for most of the game.
ACQUAFRESCA! The striker just could not connect with his head after a cross from Cossu on the left. A great chance as Yepes was well-behind and the distance was just six yards.
PERICO! The defender sent a stunning shot from distance, but Abbiati was up to the challenge and parried the ball away for a corner on the left. That set-piece amounted to nothing, however.
Cagliari are seeing more of the ball, but their crosses are unable to penetrate a thick and tall Milan defence. Donadoni will have to come up with something much cleverer to bypass the best defence in Serie A this season.

Assist Radja Nainggolan
Goal Andrea Cossu
GOAL! COSSU CLAWS ONE BACK FOR CAGLIARI! The striker was picked out just outside the six-yard box after some dreadful defending by Gattuso and Zambrotta, and calmly put the ball past Abbiati.
Where was Cagliari's defence? No right-back, no centre-half, no one! Dreadful defending by Roberto Donadoni's men.

Seedorf is brought down by Cossu on the right wing and Milan win a free-kick. The Serie A champions are willing to score more it seems.
Gattuso's other goal in Serie A came against Juventus earlier this year. Gattuso scoring two goals is not something you see every season.
