Not a great deal to do for the Old Trafford debutant and not culpable for either goal. Let himself down with his erratic distribution that was gobbled up by the Wolves defence.
Looked every inch Rio Ferdinand's doppelganger. Handled Ebanks-Blake with a calm authority and regularly snatched the balls of his toes without giving away a free-kick.
Offered none of Smalling’s elegance. Guilty of some rash challenges on the Wolves attackers and gave away a series of unnecessary free-kicks.
Stand-in captain added usual aggressive authority at the back. Snapped into tackles on Hunt to prevent the Wolves danger man from gaining a foothold.
Promising performance from the young Brazilian. Dealt well with Jarvis, who is one of the Premier League’s better right-wingers. Touch occasionally deserved him when asked to drive forward, however. Taken off for Neville.
Experience made him look a cut above his coltish team-mates. Tried to link play up when possible. Talked before match of trying to re-discover his form and worked towards doing that. Should have buried 54th minute passed when played clean through by Carrick.
Drew gasps of adulation and despair in equal amount. Control went awry as often as it was accurate. Drove United forward for the opener and found Bebe in space when hemmed in by the Wolves defence.
Slow in touch and thought. The ex-Wolves loanee got trapped in the midfield mire and didn’t possess the wits to get himself out of it. Booked.
Experience made him look a cut above his raw team-mates. Tried to link play up when possible. Talked before match of trying to re-discover his form and went some way to doing that. Should have buried 54th minute pass when played clean through by Carrick before he finally put United ahead in the 70th minute. Removed in final moments to let Morrison make his first team bow.
The Portuguese would have known every eye in Old Trafford was examining his every touch. Answered questions with goal as his powerful shot went in with the help of an Elokobi deflection. Showed plenty of promise with quick feet and turbo boosted sprint.
Frustrating night for the Italian as he registered his 12th United start without a goal. Frustrated supporters as his naivety saw him continually flagged offside. Fed one first half chance straight into Hennessey’s arms.
The second string Welshman would have despaired as Bebe’s deflected shot flew over his head into the back of the net and his palm couldn't keep out Hernandez. Otherwise, saved well from Macheda and Gibson.
Exhibited predatory instinct of a striker as he slotted past Amos to make it 2-2. Previously was unable to stretch on the line to keep Bebe’s shot from creeping in. Failed to keep a lid on Park when asked to defend.
Added ballast alongside the impressive Mouyokolo. Helped keep Macheda quiet but wasn’t present when Park scored vital goal. Lost voice to let Hernandez in.
Promising stuff from the close season signing from Hull City. Dominated Macheda with his height and strength. Not as great against Hernandez and miscommunication with Berra saw the Mexican ghost into space for the winner.
Mixed bag for the left-back. Saw deflection off Bebe’s strike sail in before he rose at other end to convert a Jones corner.
Tried to match Carrick yard for yard in defensive midfield but not diligent enough to pick up Park when he drifted inside. Nowhere to be seen as Hernandez crucially floated into space.
Wolves’ big money purchase is still to get up to full pace on this match. Was bullied at times by Brown and found it difficult to get into match.
Manager McCarthy would have been in his rights to have expected more from the England hopeful. Didn’t do enough against Fabio but revelled in lack of pace from replacement Neville. Removed for Doyle.
United old boy enjoyed Old Trafford return as his expertly flighted corner found Elokobi for the first leveller. Edged out Gibson in the middle.
Struggled against Smalling but showed smarts to latch onto Evans. Gained joy against the Northern Ireland international and made a mischief of himself. Tired and withdrawn for Bent.
Invisible man for entire proceedings. Looked a shadow of player that impressed at Burnley. Not up to Doyle’s level yet.

Introduced in the 73rd minute. Experience didn't help United hold onto lead.

Given late debutant as Ferguson threw on the youngster to waste time at death.
Brought on in the 81st minute as Ferguson went in search of a winner. Scot was duly rewarded as the man of the moment grabbed the winner in trademark lethal fashion.
