  • FULL-TIME!!! Manchester United go to Wembley for the semi-finals of the FA Cup at the expense of Arsenal. The Gunners had their chances but goals from Fabio Da Silva and Wayne Rooney condemned Arsene Wenger's side to their third cup competition exit in two weeks. United are still on course for the treble and end their two game losing streak. A good night for Sir Alex Ferguson but another miserable night for Wenger and Arsenal.

Paul Scholes is a lucky boy as first he flies into a needless tackle on Samir Nasri and then he pushes Marouane Chamakh. It's needless from the midfielder.

Another superb save from Edwin Van der Sar keeps Arsenal at bay. Tomas Rosicky thumps a shot from the edge of the box goalwards but once again the Dutchman is in the way. Cue the chants of 'one more year' from the United fans.
  • 76'
Now it's Marouane Chamakh's turn to squander a clear cut chance. Bacary Sagna's cross is inch perfect for the striker but his header is poor and too colse to Edwin Van der Sar. It was a good save but Chamakh really could have got his side back into the game with a better header.

And United have the lead totally against the run of play. Wayne Rooney picks out Javier Hernandez with a perfectly waited cross and the Mexican gets a strong header on target. The full-back's cross is cleared only as far as Jack Wilshere, who plays the ball to Kieron Gibbs but his cross is als headed away. While United haven't seen much of the ball they have looked solid at the back.
  • 21'
Nothing really going for Manchester United at the moment. Patrice Evra picks up the ball in acres of space but plays a ball straight through to Manuel Almunia. The home side are just void of ideas as they look to get into this game.

  • 15'
Despite not really having much of a foothold in the game Manchester United create the best opening of the match so far. Darron Gibson does brilliantly to work some space on the edge of the box and feeds Fabio down the left. The stand in winger puts a good ball into the box and his twin brother gets on the end of it but his effort goes over the bar. He should have done better with that chance.
  • 14'
Manchester United appear to be struggling to finad their rhythm going forward at the moment. With seven defender in the side it is no surprise but Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez are feeding off scraps.

  • 8'
Arsenal appear to have settled quickly into their passing rhythm and have already seen more of the ball than they did during the entire 90 minutes in the Nou Camp on Tuesday night. Greg Stobart, our man at Old Trafford, reports: "Nice touch of humour from the Arsenal fans – they chanted 'off, off, off' after Hernandez played the ball despite being flagged offside. Great noise here, especially from the Arsenal fans, who seem to have got over the disappointment of Tuesday night and are full of optimism."

Greg Stobart, our man at Old Trafford, reports:'Giggs: Tearing you apart since 1991.' "That's the new banner on the Stretford End and it's thoroughly deserved recognition for Ryan Giggs, a wonderful professional and United legend celebrating his 20th year here. The Welshman is on the bench today but can expect a brilliant reception if and when he's introduced by Sir Alex Ferguson."

  • The teams are in the tunnel....
  • Our man at Old Trafford today is Greg Stobart, he reports: "Marseille boss Didier Deschamps is here today on a scouting mission ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League decided, but it's hard to see what he will learn from the Manchester United team Sir Alex Ferguson has selected today, which has raised more than a few eyebrows in the press room. While Ferguson has selected seven defenders in his starting 11, Arsene Wenger has picked a strong Gunners side, with the injured Cesc Fabregas the only notable absentee for the visitors.Arsenal have brought a 9,000-strong travelling army and they must now fancy their chances of booking a semi-final spot today, which would be a huge psychological boost after a tough couple of weeks."
  • Here is the side picked by Arsene Wenger: Arsenal: Almunia; Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Gibbs; Denilson, Diaby, Wilshere; Nasri, Van Persie, Arshavin. Subs: Shea, Squillaci, Clichy, Eboue, Rosicky, Ramsey, Chamakh.
