Had almost nothing to do.
The City captain had virtually nothing to do but kept his concentration throughout the 90 minutes.
An easy night for the central defender, who was rarely troubled but stayed alert to track Long on the rare occasion the ball crossed City's halfway line.
Constantly surged forward, playing almost as an extra winger for much of the night. Could have scored in the first half but saw his shot cleared off the line after rounding Foster.
Had no trouble dealing with Cox and stayed wide when City were in possession to stretch the pitch, with the central areas often congested.
N. de Jong
His role was almost superfluous given West Brom's lack of attacking ambition but he took up good positions and barely played a loose pass.
A very neat and tidy performance. Clever defensive anticipation and accurate, progressive passing to start City attacks.
Back in the fold after missing the defeat at Arsenal with a knee injury, the Spaniard was close to his best. Always able to wriggle a yard of space and constantly produced incisive passes. Tested Foster from a tight angle in the first half and made no mistake after the break, scoring City's fourth goal with a delightful dinked finish.
Constantly looked to link up play in the final third, drifting across the pitch and combining well with his team-mates. Produced an accurate pass for Aguero's second goal and twice went close himself.
Handed his first start since September and rewarded his manager with an effervescent display and a well-deserved goal. Added energy and drive to City attacks and played some wonderful passes.
A wonderful performance from the striker to prove he remains City's number one Argentine as he scored twice and provided two assists. Put City ahead in the sixth minute with a piledriver from 25 yards and added the second after the break with a classy finish. Still had time to set up goals for Tevez and Silva before being replaced by Dzeko in the 74th minute.
Taunted as 'England's number five' by the City supporters, he seemed slow to react to Aguero's opener in the sixth minute. Could do little about the rest of the City goals and made some smart saves, especially in the first half.
Didn't seem to know whether to track Silva inside and was outmuscled and outpaced by Richards when the City right-back bombed forward.
Alert block in the first half - perhaps with the use of an arm - to keep out Richards' goalbound effort but was generally shaky as he struggled to keep track of Aguero's movement.
West Brom's skipper never got to grips with the movement and quick passing of City's attack and was clumsy throughout the night.
Not a bad display from the rookie full-back, although at times he could have provided more cover for his central defenders.
The Austrian had barely any involvement in the game although he never let his workrate drop and was constantly looking to put City players under pressure.
An anonymous display as he failed to get on the ball and, when he did, conceded possession cheaply.
Poor performance from the Ireland international as he failed to track City midfielders and offered nothing in attack barring one tame effort from 20 yards.
Had a tough job in the centre of West Brom's midfield. Won some strong challenges but spent most of the night chasing shadows.
A very tough night leading the line with no support and always outnumbered by City defenders. Didn't get a sight on goal - in fact, he hardly set foot in the opposition penalty area.
Provided one half-threatening cross from the right in the first-half but that was about the sum of his contribution.
- 30 C. Pantilimon
Replaced Silva nine minutes from time.
- 13 A. Kolarov
- 7 J. Milner
Replaced Tevez in the 63rd minute and played mainly on the left side. Provided some dangerous crosses into the penalty area although he wasn't really able to dribble at West Brom defenders.
- 8 D. Pizarro
Came on for Aguero in the 74th minute. Looked a little cumbersome when he had a couple of sights on the West Brom goal.
