Had little to do but commanded his box well and made technically good saves when required.
The City captain carried on where he left off last season with a towering display at the back. Strong in the air and on the ground and showed good anticipation.
Composed, assured and powerful at the back as he mopped up Swansea attacks.
Looked a little shaky positionally early on but quickly grew into the game. Comfortable on the ball, as you would expect.
Competent in defence against the threat of Sinclair and powered forward when he could. Excellent run and cross to create Aguero's goal.
Seemed off the pace off the game as he slowed down City attacks. Cracking effort on the stroke of half-time cannoned off the crossbar.
On the periphery of the game in the first half but much improved after the break. His power and running ability caused Swansea a number of problems and he nearly scored with a deflected free-kick.
The architect of City's best play with his wonderful vision and technique. Superb solo run in the build-up to the first goal and was on hand to find the net himself to make it three.
Curling shot created the opening goal and is was just rewards for the England winger, who had the beating of Tate throughout the game. Good awareness to create first-half opportunity for Silva.
N. de Jong
Typically aggressive in defensive midfield and made some well-timed sliding challenges before being replaced in the 59th minute due to a knock.
Appeared to play with far more confidence than last season as he played with strength, skill and movement. Warned of his goal threat as he missed opportunity late in the first half but converted the opener with a poacher's finish in the 57th minute.
The £1.5m summer signing made two wonderful first-half stops to deny Silva from long-range and Dzeko when the City striker was one-on-one. Made further impressive saves after the break but could have done better for the first City goal as he palmed the ball straight to Dzeko.
The Welshman was generally strong at the back and tidy on the ball. Overwhelmed by City's 12-minute burst in the second half but his partnership with Caulker showed promising signs.
Solid display from the Spaniard as he showed good defensive awareness and use of the ball.
A tough task making his Premier League debut but showed plenty of promise with his reading of the game and his ability in aerial battles. Caught out a little by Aguero and Dzeko's movement in the second-half.
The Swansea captain set the tone for his side in the first minute when he made a brave diving block to prevent Toure's effort from hitting the target. Looked uncomfortable when defending in one-on-one situations against Johnson.
The winger displayed glimpses of his dribbling ability but couldn't get the better of Richards. Tested Hart with strong run and shot.
The central midfielder impressed in the early stages as Swansea controlled the ball with their neat and tidy passing. Tired a little and found it more difficult when City put him under pressure. Replace by Allen in the 65th minute.
Waspish movement was one of Swansea's main threats early on and his pace had the away fans on their feet. Grew isolated as City took control of the game and replaced by Lita nine minutes from time.
A classy customer in central midfield for the visitors, he dictated Swansea's passing game alongside Britton. Overrun at times by City's midfield and final ball was slightly missing.
The Scot was stalked by De Jong for much of the game so had few opportunities to make an impression in the final third. Tested Hart with a strong drive from 25 yards in the second half after a Swansea break.
The summer signing from Watford worked tirelessly and offered a target for the visitors, but he didn't have the quality or the support to work any clear chances on goal.
- 12 S. Taylor
- 5 P. Zabaleta
Replaced Johnson in the 74th minute and looked assured as City controlled the final stages.
- 13 A. Kolarov
Replaced Silva in the 82nd minute. Added fresh legs and tested Vorm with one free-kick.
The dream debut? It took just eight minutes for the £35m man to score his first City goal from close range and he added his second in added time with a belting strike from 25 yards. In between, he found time to create Silva's goal with a gorgeous piece of skill and awareness.
- 45 M. Balotelli
- 21 Moreira
Replaced Britton in the 65th minute, just as the visitors' bubble was burst by Aguero's impact on the game.
- 27 M. Gower
- 8 Andrea Orlandi
Came on as a 65th minute replacement for Dobbie but offered little attacking threat.
Replaced Dyer nine minutes from time and produced a couple of neat touches.
