Manchester City 1-2 Everton: It's all over at Eastlands as City miss out on the chance to go top of the Premier League. Meanwhile, Everton pick up just their second away win of the season to give their fans an early Christmas present.

SENDING OFF!!! Kolo Toure becomes the second player to be shown a red card tonight as he brings down a counter-attacking Bilyaletdinov to earn his second booking.
90' + 1'
Tevez forces a save from Howard as he drives into the right hand side of the area before releasing a powerful strike. However, the Argentinean's shot is too close to the Everton 'keeper who pushes it over the bar.
Yellow CardGareth Barry
We will have four added minutes at Eastlands, can City find an equaliser in that time?
Stunning shot by Yaya Toure from distance but Howard does very well to tip it round the post. The referee didn't spot that though and a goal-kick is given.
The Everton players' bodies will be black and blue by the end of tonight as they block another City shot, this time from Barry.
A great spell by Everton there as they play neat triangles on the right hand side to frustrate City. Can they continue to keep the ball as well for the remaining eight minutes plus stoppage time?
So close for City. Balotelli makes a great run behind the Everton defence and the ball played over the top for him leaves the Italian one-on-one with Howard. However, despite lifting the ball over the Everton 'keeper his effort bounces off the right hand post and Tevez blazes over the follow-up.
As Greg Stobart correctly points out, Phil Jagielka will most probably be credited with that goal: It looked like City might need a stroke of luck and they got it there. Phil Jagielka has been immense tonight and he didn't deserve that, but the England man and his nine team-mates have got a very long 20 minutes ahead now.
Own GoalPhil Jagielka
GOAL FOR MANCHESTER CITY!!!! Neat interchanges between Yaya Toure, Johnson and Silva in and around the Everton area results in Toure's deflected shot finding a way past Howard. Is that the start of a comeback?
Barry shows a bit of urgency there as he runs at the Everton defence, collects his defelected pass off Silva before firing over.
Mancini is surely going to have to gamble and bring on another striker, especially as City are now playing against ten men. As it stands, the home side are still showing little cutting edge.
SENDING OFF!! Anichebe gets his matching orders as he lunges in on Zabaleta to receive a second yellow card. His first was for another unnecessary challenge on City 'keeper Joe Hart.
This game has fallen back into the familiar routine of the first half as City dominate possession and territory without creating many chances of note.
Yellow CardVictor Anichebe
As an aside, it's an astonishing -9 degrees at Eastlands tonight.
Kolarov has a bash from distance again but his shot creeps wide of the right hand post.
A bit of a stoppage here as Zabaleta is forced off the field again with blood seeping through his bandage.
Kolarov has the first shot on target of the second half as he powers a half-volley straight at Tim Howard from 35 yards.
We're back underway........
Manchester City 0-2 Everton, Greg Stobart provides his view at the break: That's the half-time whistle and Everton are halfway towards ruining Manchester City's evening on a night when a win would put them top of the Premier League at Christmas. The home support demonstrate their frustration with boos as the players trudge off the field for a rollicking from Roberto Mancini. The Italian will be furious with his defenders for leaving Tim Cahill with a free header inside the six-yard box to nod home the opener, but you can do little but admire the second, a lovely curling effort from Leighton Baines with his right foot. City pushed hard to get back into the game but Everton have dug in and it's set up for a fascinating second half, with David Moyes' visitors still looking a threat on the counter-attack.
Things have gone a little quiet just before the break here. City just cannot break down Everton's defence while the away side seem a little reluctant (and rightly so) to commit too many men forward on the counter-attack.
Greg Stobart reveals he isn't the only one impressed by the Merseysiders tonight: The guys behind me are from a local radio station in Liverpool and they are purring over this Everton performance. David Moyes' side have shown everything you want as a supporter – skill, finishing, organisation and no little heart. They will have to hang tough to prevent City from getting back into this, though.
Kolarov sends a free-kick from almost 35 yards just wide of Tim Howards right-hand post. However the way the Everton 'keeper scrambled across to see it out for a corner, you can bet your house he had no idea that it wasn't on target.
Yellow CardMarouane Fellaini
And you have to feel that a goal for City cannot be too far away as they set up camp on the edge of the Everton penalty area. However, the away side throw everything they can to block the barrage of shots that ensues and somehow escape with their lead intact.
Greg Stobart reports that the home supporters aren't exactly full of festive cheer as it stands: You would think that this situation isn't too unfamiliar to City fans who have been coming here for more than a year, but they are really getting on the home players' backs at the moment. Plenty of moans and groans – but that negative atmosphere can quickly change with a goal.
Zabaleta fires a ball across the Everton penalty area but Tevez can only put his shot over the bar on the edge of the six-yard box. By the way, the City right-back is now sporting a bandage round his head, having received stitches after a clash of heads he suffered earlier in the game.
Silva plays a one-two with Tevez on the edge of the area. However, it ends up as merely a one-one as the Spaniard cannot reach the return ball in the box.
Yellow CardVincent Kompany
Greg Stobart offers his thoughts on Everton going 2-0 up: I don't think this is how Carlos Tevez envisaged the night going when he committed himself to City earlier today. Leighton Baines has been in brilliant form this season and curls a beauty into the bottom corner after a perfect lay-off from Tim Cahill. The Everton fans are in full voice, singing 'two-nil and we've spent f-all'.
GOAL FOR EVERTON!!!!!!!!!!! A second for the Toffees as Baines charges down the left, plays the ball into Anichebe who then knocks a pass into Tim Cahill. The Australian lays it off inside the area for Baines to finish the move he started with a brilliant curled effort round Joe Hart. Spectacular stuff.
Some people just don't feel the cold, as Greg Stobart explains: You can't help but respect the Everton players. Six of them are in short sleeves, none apart from the goalkeeper are wearing gloves. David Moyes is nails and he makes sure his team is, too.
Tevez chips a delightful ball over the Everton defence for Balotelli, but unfortunately for City fans the Italian was adjudged to be offside.
Although they are behind, City are passing the ball around confidently here. Gareth Barry wins a corner but Mario Balotelli can only head the subsequent set-piece straight at Tim Howard in the Everton goal.
A dinked ball over by Yaya Toure finds David Silva on the left hand side of the area. However, despite getting a good connection on the ball, the Spaniard puts his strike a yard wide of the left hand post.
Well, well, well what a start for the away side. Here's Greg Stobart's view of that early goal: Tim Cahill does it again at Eastlands. It's his fourth goal here and probably his easiest. You simply can't leave the Australian with a free header inside the six-yard box and it was a simple task for him to nod home. The away support are creating a great atmosphere here.
GOAL TO EVERTON!!!!!!!!!! A great cross by Baines reaches the head of Anichebe but the young striker can only manage to direct his header out to Coleman on the right hand side of the area. However, the Everton right-back puts the ball back into the area for Tim Cahill to nod home.
As City get us underway, our correspondent at the ground, Greg Stobart, offers us his views of the pre-match atmosphere: A lukewarm round of applause for Carlos Tevez as he salutes supporters on the far side but then a roar as his name is read out by the announcer. There is an expectant atmosphere here as Manchester City eye top spot on Christmas day but it's a lucky ground for Everton, who have won on their last three visits to Eastlnds. Lots of hats on display in the crowd, but nothing comes remotely close to matching Mario Balotelli's effort.
As you may have already heard, the big news prior to tonight's game is that Carlos Tevez has reconciled his differences with the club and will be staying at Eastlands. He also captains the side tonight.
Man City subs: Given, Richards, Wright-Phillips, Johnson, Boateng, Vieira, Jo Everton subs: Mucha, Hibbert, Bilyaletdinov, Saha, Beckford, Gueye, Yakubu
And the Everton team is: Howard; Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Coleman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Osman; Cahill; Anichebe.
Manchester City line-up as follows: Hart; Zabaleta, Kolo Toure, Kompany, Kolarov; Milner, Barry, Yaya Toure; Silva; Balotelli, Tevez
