Mallorca trio Antonio Lopez, Nunes and Joao Victor are all nursing knee injuries and will miss Sunday's Primera Division clash with Real Madrid at the Iberostar Stadium.

Midfielder Javi Marquez (ankle) is also sidelined, but winger Emilio Nsue is available after missing the 3-2 defeat at Sevilla through suspension.

Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has been ruled out for up to two weeks after aggravating a muscle problem.

Full-backs Alvaro Arbeloa (hamstring) and Fabio Coentrao (groin) could return to first-team action shortly, although neither will travel to Palma.

Coach Jose Mourinho must decide whether to persist with Michael Essien or play Castilla's Nacho at left-back after the former's unconvincing performance in the defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

The Israel international's flying start to the season - which has seen him score six goals in eight games for Mallorca - has reportedly made him a January transfer target for Liverpool.  The 25-year-old also netted five times for his country in the home and away wins over Luxembourg earlier this month and will be ready to punish any lapses from the Real Madrid defence.

Real Madrid's less-than-stellar start to the season has coincided with a dip in form for the German playmaker, whose creative spark appears to have deserted him for the moment. This, however, is in stark contrast to his performances for the national team, for whom he has scored five goals in the last four matches. Jose Mourinho will hope Ozil can reproduce that sort of form in club colours and add a greater thrust to Real's attack.
Prediction
With Real plagued by defensive injuries, Mallorca have a real chance to win and move level on points with their illustrious opponents in the Primera Division standings. However, the visitors' depth of quality in attacking areas remains formidable, and they will be desperate to produce a response after being outclassed by Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.
