The Mallorca keeper dIdn't have to make a save until a routine stop from Cristiano Ronaldo's free kick from distance late in the first half. He was fortunate to see Ramos' header hit the post and could do nothing about Higuain's equaliser that took a deflection on its way past him. Distraught when Callejon sealed Madrid's win with an effort from the edge of the box late on.
Dealt well with the threat of Ronaldo and Benzema early on. Was pulled out of position in the second half on a number of occasions by the direct running of Higuain and Ozil.
The experienced defender was unfortunate to be on the losing side after performing well and snuffing out a number of Madrid's attacks with some well-timed tackles and interceptions.
The defender was lucky to escape a yellow card in the first half for two fouls on Ronaldo, with the seemingly inevitable booking coming in the second half for yet another foul on the Portuguese man. Defended diligently.
Did admirably at the back. Like his fellow defenders, will count himself unlucky to have lost this game after being so organised and professional for such a large chunk of the game.
After a fantastic first half, like Bruno, he faded in the second 45. Was terribly unfortunate to get the deflection that nicked Higuain's effort past his own keeper Aouate.
Full of running down the right hand side in first half, causing all sorts of problems for Marcelo. Responsible for the Brazilian defender being hauled off at half-time. Played well both offensively and defensively on the flank.
Performed superbly alongside Tissone in the centre of the park in the first half, limiting Alonso and Diarra's influence, which is no mean feat. Faded in the second half after a monumental effort in the first.
Provided the wonderful inswinging cross for Hemed's goal and was a constant thorn in Madrid's right-hand side with his direct running and industry.
The Israeli striker did well to fashion a chance after a superb counterattack in the first half, but screwed his shot wide. Gave Mallorca a deserved lead late in first half after getting on the end of a searching cross by Castro to send a diving header past Casillas.
Great first half, holding the ball up well for his side. Ran through on the counter in the second half and put the ball calmly past Casillas, but was pulled back by an incorrect offside decision.
Could do nothing to stop Hemed's diving header that gave Mallorca the lead. The Spaniard will have been furious at his rearguard's lax defending that allowed the striker so much space. Apart from the goal had little to do throughout.
Allowed Memed far too much space in the penalty area to convert his chance in the first half and give Mallorca the lead. Tried to get forward throughout the game, but was repeatedly forced back by the hard-working Castro.
Struggled defensively in the first half under intense pressure from Mallorca's frontline. Nearly scored up the other end on a number of occasions though, his header from an Ozil corner late in the first half cannoned back off the post, and then another effort that found the back of the net was ruled out for offside.
The Brazil international was given a fairly torrid time by Pereira in the first half and was in no man's land when Mallorca took a short corner and scored from a cross from Madrid's left-back position. A disappointing performance that resulted in him being withdrawn in the second half.
Like Ramos, Pepe was made to work hard at the back by an energetic Mallorca side. Made a crucial interception late on to stop Victor creating a goalscoring opportunity on the counter-attack as Madrid committed men forward in search of a winner.
His impact was hugely limited by the fantastic hassling of Tissone and Bruno in the first period. He could have no complaints at being subbed off at half-time.
Very quiet in the first half alongside Ozil, which perhaps emphasised how well Mallorca played in the opening 45 minutes. Did better in the second half, but still far from his best.
Afforded no room in the first half but began to exert more influence on the game in the second period. Provided the assist for Higuain's equaliser, and kept possession well as Madrid looked to preserve their lead following Callejon's goal.
After a subdued display in the first 84 minutes, he went on to provide a moment of class when it mattered, smashing home the winner from the edge of the box as Aouate was caught out of position.
Very quite in the opening half an hour. His speculative free kick from distance on 32 minutes, Madrid's first effort on target, summed up a disappointing half for Mourinho's side. Played better in the second period and came within inches of scoring late on with another blistering effort from a long way out, but the crossbar thwarted him on this occasion.
Limited to a single looping snapshot volley late in first half. He was full of running after the interval and stretched the Mallorca defence, providing space for the likes of Callejon and Higuain. Played a part in both of Madrid's goals.
- 1 Calatayud
- 28 Pedro Bigas
- 16 Jose Nunes
Alfaro was afforded only a few minutes of this game, and struggled to deal with a compact Madrid side intent on holding out for their win late on.
Little chance to make an impact after being introduced late on with Madrid defending their lead.
- 8 Nsue
Was full of running upfront but provided little, and was silly to get himself booked late on in the game.
- 13 Adán
Did well down the left after replacing the disappointing Marcelo in the second half. Assured on and off the ball.
- 19 R. Varane
Had one fine long-range effort that Aouate had to tip over the bar and helped Madrid get back into the game with some tidy passing and mature build-up play.
- 11 Granero
- 5 N. Şahin
Introduced at half-time for the disappointing Diarra, he was quick to make an impact, scoring Madrid's equaliser after brilliant build-up play by Ozil.
