M. Borriello 90'
Liverpool get their US tour off to a losing start thanks to Daniel Agger's late own-goal, but the results of these pre-season matches are by no means major talking points. The match itself was a fairly even contest, but any flow evaporated with a huge number of changes midway through the second period. Roma win 1-0, but this match will not live long in the memory of many.
90' + 2'
GOAL!!! ROMA TAKE THE LEAD! An outswinging corner is fired in from the right and Daniel Agger, under pressure from Borriello, accidentally knocks the ball past Jones and into the net. It wasn't pretty, but we have a goal!
JONES KEEPS ROMA AT BAY! Sanabria does brilliantly as he charges forward and then knocks the ball past a defender. The Paraguayan gets a shot away from an acute angle, but Jones palms the effort away.
Yellow CardAdam Phillips
Well, that is one way to make your mark on a match. Phillips goes flying in on Ucan with a strong tackle and earns himself a yellow card.
This is quite a moment for 16-year-old Adam Phillips as the England youth international replaces Coutinho.
Yellow CardLucas Leiva
Lucas joins Nainggolan in the book as he goes in hard on Capradossi, catching the young Italian.
We have just under 10 minutes to go until the end of this match and I doubt few would be too bothered if the referee blew his whistle right now! This second half had been fairly entertaining for the first 20 minutes, but a host of changes completely ruined the flow.
Risky back-pass there from Coutinho after the Brazilian wins the ball back inside his own area, but luckily for Liverpool, Jones is just about able to get there ahead of Destro and smash clear.
Here are Liverpool's latest changes as Ibe is replaced by Suso, fresh from his loan spell with Almeria, and Henderson takes Allen's place.
Still we await the match's first goal. The second half has been much better than the first 45 minutes, but clear-cut chances have been infrequent so far.
Clever feet from Coutinho as he drifts past one Roma midfielder and then tries to poke a pass into the area for Peterson. Romagnoli hammers the ball on to the young Swede and wins a goalkick for Roma.
Emanuelson runs straight over the ball and Paredes smashes it towards goal, but his effort sails well over in harmless fashion.
Roma win themselves a free-kick in a decent position about 30 yards from goal in a fairly central position. Both Paredes and Emanuelson stand over the ball.
Right, those Roma changes saw Lobont, Capradossi, Ucan, Paredes, Emanuelson, Borriello, Balasa, Sanabria and Calabresi all brought on.
GREAT CHANCE FOR LIVERPOOL! Coutinho floats a good cross into the danger zone from a free-kick and Skrtel meets it with a header, taking the ball off Agger and putting wide of the left-hand post.
Big block from a Roma defender there. Liverpool charge down the left and although the cross is partially cleared, Coutinho latches on to the ball and hits a first-time effort towards goal, which is subsequently blocked.
Garcia makes a whole host changes of his own, which will be confirmed momentarily.
Liverpool are making a couple of changes as Coates and Lambert leave the field, with Agger and Peterson on in their places.
SKORUPSKI DENIES LIVERPOOL! Good play by Lambert as he moves into the left channel and finds space away from Romagnoli. The England forward takes a touch and then hits a fierce left-footed effort towards goal, but Skorupski dives across his goal to keep the score level.
Brilliant feet by Coutinho as he produces an excellent turn inside his half to evade his marker and then charge forward. He ruins the move, though, as he produces a wayward pass into the attacking third.
Liverpool looked to be in serious danger there as Totti picks out a brilliant pass into the area for Destro, who appears to have gotten in behind Skrtel. However, the defender produces a fine last-ditch tackle to put the Italian off. The assistant then raises his flag for offside.
Roma are straight back on to the attack themselves and almost craft an opportunity of their own. Totti receives a pass into feet on the edge of the Liverpool area and cleverly picks out a pass into the area for Destro, who pokes the ball into the danger area. Skrtel, however, is there and he gets himself in the way.
BIG CHANCE FOR LAMBERT! Excellent cross in from the right by Coutinho and Lambert had peeled away from his man, but his first-time effort is scuffed and Castan makes a block.
Coutinho has started the second half with renewed determination. The Brazilian has had three attempts from distance since the half-time, but each has been saved with ease or hit wide of the target.
Liverpool made one change at the break as Robinson replaced Enrique, while Romagnoli has taken Benatia's place in the Roma defence and Destro comes in for Iturbe.
Good start by Roma as Florenzi charges into space down the right and squeezes a cross into the danger area. The first defender misses it, but Skrtel sweeps up, just about.
The teams are back out for the second half and Roma get the action underway.
Finally, and thankfully, the referee blows his whistle to end what was a fairly drab first half. Liverpool looked more likely to break the deadlock for most of the 45 minutes, but they were not particularly prolific in terms of chance creation. Both sides played some eye-catching football on occasion, but few will remember that half too fondly. Hopefully we'll be treated to an improvement after the break.

What a waste. Totti's corner is blasted deep and beyond everyone. Liverpool mop up and clear, but Roma are quick to get the ball back as half-time approaches.
Roma look set to end the half on the front foot as Liverpool clear a cross behind their own goal to concede a corner. Totti runs over to take the set-piece.
There's the game's first yellow card as Nainggolan catches Can with a high foot and sees his name go into the referee's book.
Yellow CardRadja Nainggolan
Excellent defending by Coates. Iturbe charges down the outside and breezes his way past Enrique, going past the Spaniard far too easily. The recent signing from Hellas Verona gets into the area and shapes to cross, but Coates comes across and blocks effectively.
There is another effort from range by a Roma player as Nainggolan produces a wild effort from about 30 yards, but the Belgian's attempt flies well over.
Roma appear to crank things up a notch as their attacking stars burst into action down the right. Iturbe charges forward, jolting past a challenge and then feeding Ljajic to his right. The Serbian tries to return the pass as his team-mate gets into the area, but Liverpool cut it out.
Garcia's men do look fluid when they get the ball moving, but too often have they been sloppy in the final third, with their final ball disappointing regularly.
Finally, Roma get in behind the Liverpool defence. Cole latches on to a loose ball behind Kelly and drills a cross into the danger area, but Totti puts an improvised effort just wide as he directs the ball towards goal with his knee.
Liverpool are doing a very good job of crowding the middle at the moment. Roma's attacking options are all looking to come inside, but the Liverpool defence is pushing very high in attempt to cancel their threat. It is working at the moment.
There is another example of the Roma attackers failing to link up. Iturbe receives the ball in a central, but offensive, area of the pitch. He skips past one challenge and then pokes a pass a few yards to his right, but the ball completely misses its target and goes out of play.
Roma work the corner corner short and, after Florenzi's long-range effort is blasted into a crowd of players, Liverpool get the ball clear with relative ease.
Roma just about spark into life as they attack through the middle. Liverpool allow the Italians to play through them and then Cole is played in down the left, but his cross is blocked behind by Kelly.
There is not much of a flow to this match at the moment. Perhaps we shouldn't be surprised, considering it is a pre-season meeting, but many would have expected a little more from Roma so far.
There is Totti's first attempt of the day, but it is by no means one of his better efforts. The Roma legend is given a bit of space about 25 yards from goal and he tries his luck, sending the ball comfortably wide of Jones' right-hand post.
Roma have been rather wasteful on the ball so far. On this occasion Castan tries to play the ball out from the back with an incisive pass, but Liverpool cut it out easily. Luckily for the Italians, however, Lucas' touch is heavy and they get possession back.
Teasing delivery from Coutinho. The Brazilian stands over a free-kick on the left flank and whips in a dangerous cross. The ball evades everyone, but it almost ends up in the top-far corner, before ultimately going wide.
This is a good opportunity for Liverpool as Ibe makes a good tackle on the halfway line and then charges into space. The youngster runs at Benatia with pace, before jinking inside. His counterpart, however, copes easily and regains possession for Roma.
Roma have offered very little to this game so far. Liverpool are enjoying far more of the ball at the moment, with the Roma attacking midfielders enduring a very quiet start. Liverpool create themselves a chance as Kelly latches on to a cross from the left, but his header is tame and Skorupski collects.
Lucas is almost caught in a very dangerous position as he dribbles past a couple of men just outside his own area and then slips over. Totti is ready to pounce, but the Brazilian just about manages to poke the ball away from danger.
And there is the change. Borini is unable to continue and he is replaced by Emre Can, who has recovered from an injury of his own to be available for today.
Roma are remaining patient in their build-up play at the moment. Garcia's men are passing the ball around in their own half, with Liverpool happy to let them have a bit of possession.
Borini appears to be in significant discomfort. The former Roma man clashed with Keita a few moments ago, pulling the Malian down on top of him and Borini seems to have injured his shoulder.
Reckless challenge by Iturbe as he tracks back down the right flank and catches the rampaging Ibe from behind. He may have picked up a yellow card in a competitive match, but the referee just awards a free-kick.
Roma win a free-kick just outside their own area as Borini attempts to bring down a loose ball while tussling with Keita, and the Italian pulls his opponent to the ground.
Roma have their first meaningful bout of possession and they produce some delightful football. Nainggolan charges forward and links up with both Iturbe and Ljajic, but eventually the move peters out.
Good play by Allen as he roams across the edge of the Roma area and then gets down the left flank. He holds off a couple of challenges and then feeds a pass to his left, but it goes straight out of play as Enrique fails to continue his initial run.
Encouraging start from Liverpool as they conduct possession in the middle. looking to link up with Lambert as often as possible. The England forward has already dropped deep to combine with his team-mates on a couple of occasions.
We're off in Boston! Liverpool get the action started.
The two teams are now out on the pitch and they are having a minute's silence to mark the 25th year since the Hillsborough disaster.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have Rickie Lambert making his second start in attack following his arrival from Southampton, while teenager Jordan Ibe makes another appearance for the first-team.
One of the major talking points for this match will undoubtedly be the presence of Ashley Cole, who of course recently joined Roma on a free transfer following his departure from Chelsea. The former England international makes his first start for his new club.
Roma's substitutes have not yet been announced, but you shall be notified once the details are readily available.
