Rotherham United won 4 - 3 on penalties
A. Revell 55', 60'
120' + 12'
Well what a game, and what a comeback from Rotherham. They were 2-0 down at half-time but two strikes from Alex Revell, against his former team, saw them back in it before they prevailed on penalties. That's all from me but before I go just time to say commiserations to Leyton Orient and congratulations to Rotherham!
120' + 11'
Agony and ectasy at Wembley as Rotherham win the penalty shoot-out and a place in the Championship. The Leyton Orient players are on their knees, Dagnall is in tears, while the Rotherham players celebrate.
120' + 10'
MISS! Collin saves from Dagnall and ROTHERHAM ARE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!
120' + 9'
GOAL! Excellent strike by Smallwood who smashes his kick home. 4-3 Rotherham.
120' + 8'
MISS! Agony for Leyton Orient as Bawdry misses and it stays 3-3. Good save by Collin!
120' + 7'
GOAL! Tavernier smashes it into the top corner. Great penalty to make it 3-3.
120' + 6'
GOAL! Nathan Clarke makes it 3-2 to Leyton Orient.
120' + 5'
GOAL! Pringle sends the goalkeeper the wrong way to keep Rotherham in it.
120' + 4'
GOAL! Orient take the lead with a superb spot kick.
120' + 3'
MISS! Frecklington's low shot is saved by a diving Jones! Great stop by the goalkeeper.
120' + 2'
GOAL! Emphatic penalty by James who levels it for Leyton Orient.
120' + 1'
GOAL! Agard takes the first penalty and rolls it home for Rotherham!
FULL TIME! It finishes 2-2 after extra-time and the play-off final will be decided from the penalty spot!
Frecklington and Pringle both hobbling for Rotherham, as penalties loom.
Just minutes left as Rotherham win a corner after Vuckic's shot takes a deflection. The ball is swung in by Tavernier and headed clear by Omozusi.
This time it's Rotherham's turn to hurl a long throw in the box but again it comes to nothing. There is a dstinct lack of quality in the final third in these closing stages as tiredness kicks in.
Chaos in the Rotherham box! A long throw by Clarke causes confusion late on! James has a couple of shots blocked and eventually Rotherham clear!
A few mistakes starting to creep in now, and neither team able to assert themselves in this final period. The crowd has quietened too, with the fans understandably nervous.
Cuthbert drives forward down the right for Leyton Orient and tries to win a corner, but miscontrols at the crucial moment and it's a throw-in for Rotherham.
Good challenge from Arnason. Dagnall breaks into the penalty area, looks to check back but Arnason reads it and manages to shepherd the ball back to his goalkeeper.
Rotherham enjoy a good spell of possession, patiently probing and keeping the ball far better than the managed in the first period of extra-time.
Off we go again! Orient have made a change for the final 15 minutes, Lundstram replacing Mooney as Rotherham get us going.
105' + 1'
Half-time! Still all square after the first period of extra-time and you get the feeling we might just need penalties to separate these two teams.
Bad news for Rotherham, two-goal Revell is hobbling off, unable to hide his disappointment. He gets a fabulous reception, deservedly so, after his performance today.
The free kick is swung in and finds Clarke, who manages to get a head on it but cannot direct it on target under pressure from Arnason.
Unsurprisingly the pace of the game has dropped significantly in extra time. There are plenty of players looking very tired out there, which allows substitute Batt to win a free kick right on the edge of the box.
Leyton Orient win a throw near the corner flag, Mooney teases before attempting a cross which sails harmlessly out of play. Elsewhere Revell is really struggling for Rotherham, he may not be able to finish this match.
And now the action switches to the other end. Collin is off his line quickly to deny Dagnall, the ball breaks to Mooney who tries to chip the goalkeeper but he's put too much on it.
BRILLIANT SAVE BY JONES! A long throw is hurled into the box, flies off his own player Cuthbert and the goalkeeper is forced to save from point-blank range. Great goalkeeping.
Leyton Orient keeping hold of the ball in the early stages, until they give the ball away on the half-way line and Mooney is penalised for a foul as he tries to retrieve possession.
And so into extra-time we go. Leyton Orient get things going and immediately hoof the ball into touch.
90' + 5'
FULL TIME! Leyton Orient 2-2 Rotherham at the final whistle and so it's extra-time in the League One play-off final! Don't go anywhere.
90' + 4'
A succession of corners for Leyton Orient but they can't make them count as Rotherham stand firm.
90' + 3'
Yellow CardDavid Mooney
90' + 2'
Mooney wins a corner for Leyton Orient. it's fired in but cleared by Morgan and we are just minutes away from extra-time.
Into FIVE minutes of stoppage time at Wembley...
It's Agard again! Frecklington down the right gets a decent cross in and finds the striker at the near post. It's a difficult chance, and he can't get his header on target.
What a chance for Agard! Again he has a chance to win it. Frecklington's cross finds him at the far post, in space, but he can't get his head on it, the ball bounces off his shoulder and out for a goal kick.
Yellow CardBen Pringle
Another surging run from Batt is brought to an abrupt halt by Pringle. The substitute is not happy with the tackle, which brings a yellow card.
A chance for Agard but he's made a mess of it. He's put through by a long ball, but his finish is wayward much to the delight of the Leyton Orient fans. Has not been at his best today so far Mr Agard.
Both teams starting to tire a little now, and it's no surprise, this second half has been end-to-end and the pace unrelenting in the Wembley sunshine.
Yellow CardJames Tavernier
SO CLOSE FOR MOONEY! A brilliant Leyton Orient cross tries to pick out Mooney at the far post and he's millimetres away from getting a touch that would surely have taken it in.
Skarz has now been forced off for Rotherham with a bad cut. Milson is the man to replace him as we head towards the final 10 minutes, and as it stands, extra-time.
Instant impact from the substitute! Batt is inches away from picking up the the ball in the box, but just can't get on the end of it. Meanwhile, Lisbie is hobbling off with Dagnall his replacement.
Here comes the change Batt is on for Cox, while Vincelot looks as though he's going to be OK to continue.
Vincelot goes in bravely to deny Frecklington but he's hurt himself in the process and there's activity on the Leyton Orient bench.
Lisbie wants a free kick as he tries to break, he goes to ground under pressure from Arnason who looks as though he is holding him back, but nothing is given.
The excitement is getting a bit too much for Steve Evans on the touchlines, he's wiping his brow on the touchline with a towel after sprinting to the corner flag while celebrating Rotherham's equaliser.
Great block by Arnason! Odubajo is the danger-man once again for Leyton Orient. He fires in a fierce looking cross but Arnason, on the slides, gets it clear.
Leyton Orient have regained their composure after that hammer blow and are gently probing but Rotherham holding firm at the moment.
Yellow CardNathan Clarke
Wow. Just wow two goals in five minutes in the first half for Leyton Orient and then two goals in five minutes from Rotherham after the break. What next?
GOAL! ROTHERHAM ARE LEVEL! And in SOME style too. Revell has scored again, he's spotted Jones off his line and hit a dipping volley from fully 40 yards that beats the keeper and flies in. Against his former team too. Sensational stuff at Wembley.
Steve Evans is furious on the touchline. He wants a yellow card for Odubajo after a clash with Smallwood but the referee simply opts for a talking to and the youngster escapes going into the book.
Goalkeeper Jamie Jones will not enjoy seeing replays of that goal. He comes off his line in an attempt to punch the ball but doesn't get to it, allowing Revell to poke him against his former side.
GOAL! Rotherham are back in it! It's a scruffy effort but Revell won't care. A free kick is pumped into the box, the ball breaks to Revell who sticks out a foot and the ball trickles over the line! Game. On.
An early substitution for Rotherham, off goes Thomas and on comes Brindley.
Another free kick to Rotherham in a tantalising position after Frecklington is brought down. This time Pringle takes it, it's a curling effort but again it's too just high.
Up steps Tavernier....and he fires it into the roof of the net. Close but not close enough.
Revell wins a free kick in a very dangerous position. He's caught by Baudry right on the edge of the box, and this is prime shooting territory...
An early shout for a penalty for Leyton Orient. Dave Mooney goes down, somewhat theatrically and there's a few half-hearted appeals but the referee is having none of it. Quite right too.
Here we go again! Leyton Orient get this second half underway as Steve Evans barks encouragement at his players from the touchline.
Which of course means manager Steve Evans is going to have his work cut out at half-time!
Probably worth pointing out at half-time that no team has ever come back from two goals down to win a League One play-off final. So Rotherham will make history if they manage to come back from this.
45' + 2'
HALF-TIME! Leyton Orient 2-0 Rotherham. A super first half at Wembley, with Rotherham starting well but going in two goals down after Odubajo and Cox put Leyton Orient on the brink of promotion to the Championship.
45' + 1'
SO CLOSE! Pringle goes agonisingly close to grabbing one back for Rotherham. He chests the ball down before smashing it goalwards, the goalkeeper is beaten but his shot flies just over the bar.
Into two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half...
Rotherham boss Steve Evans is looking aghast on the touchline. Two goals in five minutes have put this game almost out of reach of his side. They've seen plenty of the ball this half but badly need a goal before the break.
Rotherham are wobbling now after conceding that second goal. Odubajo is causing havoc every time he gets the ball at the moment as Leyton Orient win a corner. Cox delivers but Baudry can only head well over the bar.
TWO NIL! Leyton Orient score again and Wembley erupts! Odubajo is heavily involved, the ball breaks to him in the box and he crosses for Cox who has a simple tap-in at the far post!
Rotherham working hard to get back into this now. They win a corner but Jones come out to punch clear. The ball comes back in again though and Thomas heads goalwards but it lacks the power to trouble the goalkeeper.
Yellow CardMoses Odubajo
Well what about that? Leyton Orient have been second best so far but that is a top quality finish by Odubajo who was booked for his celebrations.
Yellow CardCraig Morgan
GOAL! What. A Goal. Leyton Orient have the lead and it's Odubajo who gets it! The youngster takes a brilliant first touch before volleying it past Collin in thunderous fashion.
After surviving that early pressure there are a few signs that Leyton Orient are coming to life. Mooney does well to find Odubajo down the right and he fires in a dangerous cross that is hacked clear. Much better from Russell Slade's side though.
Yellow CardScott Cuthbert
Half an hour gone at Wembley and we've just seen the first booking of the game. Cuthbert is the man yellow carded after he brings down Pringle. He'll have to be careful now.
Close by Mooney! The ball breaks to him on the edge of the box and he hits it first time straight into the side netting which makes the crowd on the other side of the ground think it's gone it. It hasn't but it's the closest they have come so far.
Rotherham continue to press with Pringle down the left, just managing to sneak a cross in, Thomas is at the far post but he's just beaten by Baudry who does well to get the ball clear.
The action then switches quickly to the other end where Tavernier fires wide. It's not the greatest effort on target, but the Newcastle loanee is causing all sorts of problems out there with his pace.
Great stuff from Odubajo who beats two men before lofting a cross into the box. Rotherham struggle to clear it but eventually win a free kick after Agard is felled by a high boot.
The free-kick is curled into the box and towards Lisbie at the far post but goalkeeper Collin is the quickest to react and the chance is gone.
A rare foray forwards sees Kevin Lisbie win a free kick on the left of the box, bringing ironic cheers from the Orient fans who haven't had much to cheer so far in truth.
Tavernier hurls a long throw in the box but again Orient clear, but they can't keep the ball and Rotherham are back in possession and looking to attack again.
Leyton Orient are struggling to get into the game at the moment. Top scorer Dave Mooney is dropping deep to try and pick up possession but so far they are struggling to trouble the Rotherham defence at all.
Rotherham still on top, this time Tavernier opts to have a pop from range but he can't beat Jones, who grabs it at the second attempt.
Leyton Orient looking really shaky at the back as Rotherham continue to fire balls into the box. Thomas is the target this time, picked out beautifully, but he can't find a finish to match.
Rotherham continuing to enjoy the better of it. Frecklington is the next man to go close, he takes a great first touch before firing low at the goalkeeper, but it just lacks the power to really trouble Jones.
Close for Rotherham! A long ball is hurled into the box and knocked down for Thomas on the stretch but he is denied by Jones who stands his ground well.
Leyton Orient manage to get the ball out wide to Odubajo who looks to stretch his legs down the flank but he's just overrun it and the ball goes out for a Rotherham throw.
Kieran Agard picks up the ball and drives towards goal, but Orient are alive to the danger and manage to disposses Rotherham's top scorer and get the ball to safety.
Rotherham want a penalty! Early controversy here as captain Nathan Clarke just nudges Revell who takes a tumble in the area. The crowd howl for a spot-kick but the referee waves the appeals away. That's a let off for Leyton Orient.
Bright start from Rotherham who win an early free kick outside the box after Vincelot brings down Frecklington. The ball is pumped into the box but Orient hold firm and hack it clear.
Here we go! Rotherham, all in grey today, kick-off and we are underway at Wembley.
The teams are walking out onto the pitch at Wembley, so sit back and relax folks because we are just minutes away from kick-off.
There is very, very little to chose between these two sides going into the game. They both finished the season on 86 points with Leyton Orient finishing above Rotherham thanks to a better goal difference.
So there we go both teams unchanged from the sides that secured their final spot. Don't forget Leyton Orient saw off Peterborough in the semi-finals while Rotherham beat Preston 4-2.
Rotherham: Collin, Tavernier, Morgan, Arnason, Skarz, Agard, Frecklington, Smallwood, Pringle, Thomas, Revell. Subs: Shearer, Brindley, Davis, O'Connor, Milsom, Vuckic, Hitchcock.
Leyton Orient: Jones, Cuthbert, Baudry, Clarke, Omozusi, Odubajo, Vincelot, James, Cox, Lisbie, Mooney. Subs: Sawyer, Larkins, Batt, Bartley, Dagnall, Lundstram, Simpson.
