  • 3-0 it finishes here, and it's nothing less than Juventus deserve. I've been Alex Mott, thanks for joining me.
  • 90' + 3'
And that's that. The referee blows for full time, with the final score here at the Juventus Arena, Juventus 3-0 Roma.
  • 90'
    Own Goal Simon Kjaer
  • 89'
    Yellow Card Milos Krasic
  • 88'
    Substitution Emanuele Giaccherini Milos Krasic
  • 88'
Krasic is booked within 20 seconds of coming on for a flailing arm. Things just go from bad to unbareably horrible for the former CSKA man.
  • 87'
I'll refer you to my question in the 82nd minute: a bit of both.
  • 85'
Another close one from Juventus. Quagliarella on the right-hand side, finds Matri inside the area, but the former Cagliari man's flick is enough to beat Stekelenburg, but not enough to beat Heinze on the line.
  • 82'
I understand that Roma are missing De Rossi in the centre of the park, but Juve have been so much better than Luis Enrique's, side it's almost unreal. From the first minute to now, in every single area, Conte's team have bossed this game. The thing is though, I'm not sure whether it's a case of Juventus being good or Roma being bad?
  • 80'
It's Estigarribia's turn to nearly score. Quagliarella has the ball on the edge of the area, facing goal. He plays a neat diagonal ball to Estigarribia on the left, and the Paraguayan smashes it first time across goal, only to see it go inches wide of the far post.
  • 78'
OHHH. Taddei slips after receiving the ball from Stekelenburg in the right-back position. Estigarribia then comes away with the ball, and puts in a low cross to Quagliarella who's unmarked inside the area. With one touch, he side-foots the ball at goal, but it hits the bar and goes over for a goal kick. Very nearly the perfect entrance.
  • 77'
Substitution Alessandro Del Piero Fabio Quagliarella
  • 76'
Haha. A Roma corner is cleared by Chiellini, and Juve go on a counter-attack. Only they don't because Del Piero has absolutely NO pace, and Kjaer gets back to clear the ball.
  • 74'
Lichtsteiner goes on another one of those barnstomring runs, and manages to pick out Matri inside the area with a cross. Heinze is on full alert though, and manages to get back and put his body inbetween the ball and the goal.
  • 72'
    Substitution Francesco Totti Simone Perrotta
  • 72'
Is it any coincidence that as soon as Simplicio leaves the pitch, Roma have their first real opportunity of the game?
  • 71'
    Yellow Card Francesco Totti
  • 70'
OHHH. It was so close. Roma, for the first time, open Juve up, and Borini, inside the 18yd box, fires over when it looked easier to score.
  • 68'
    Red Card Erik Lamela
LAMELA has kicked out at Chiellini off the ball, and he's been given a red card. Roma a man down, and you have to say, with no chance of getting back in this now.
  • 67'
Substitution Fabio Henrique Simplicio Leandro Greco
  • 66'
    Yellow Card Fabio Henrique Simplicio
  • 66'
Simplicio, just, well, takes out Estigarribia, and a free kick is given to Juve, on the left-hand side of the area. Pirlo takes it, and tries to catch Stekelenburg out at his near post, but it hits the side netting.
  • 65'
Lichtsteiner, who for my money has been Juventus' player of the year so far, tries to flick the ball past Taddei, but Kjaer comes over and clears the ball away for a throw in.
  • 63'
    Substitution Marco Borriello Alessandro Matri
After all the fuss the Juventus fans made over the signing of Borriello, they haven't half given him a decent reception as he comes off there.
  • 62'
Great effort from Gago. Receiving the ball from Lamela just outside the area, it sits up nicely for him, and he hits it on the half volley, just wide of the left-hand post. Unlucky.
  • 59'
There is, in truth, very little happening at the moment. Roma look in no hurry to score, and Juve are happy for them to have the ball in their own half. Don't you just love the Coppa Italia?
  • 58'
    Substitution Bojan Krkic Fabio Borini
  • 56'
Borriello has to do better there. Estigarribia puts in a fantastic ball deep from the left, but Borriello can't quite get there in time, as he watches the ball race away for a throw in.
  • 54'
Totti, who's been extremely quiet tonight, gets what I think, might be his first shot of the game away. It's rubbish though, and Bonucci manages to get his body in the way, before shoeing it out for a throw in.
  • 52'
Oh, Estigarribia does brilliantly there, beating Jose Angel for pace, and putting in a devilish ball, low across goal. Stekelenburg though, isn't the Dutch number 1 for nothing, and claims the ball bravely from the feet of Borriello.
  • 50'
Roma have come out all guns blazing in this half. This time, it's Lamela who puts in a decent ball from the right, but Storari can claim that easily.
  • 49'
Oh yeah, there's a game on. And Roma have a corner in that game. Totti fires it in, but it's a poor one, and the ball goes out for a goal kick.
  • 48'
For what it's worth, @chidex15 thinks, and I quote: "this match will end in a 3-1 scoreline, cos juve r de only unbeaten club in europe." Why are you not doing my job sir?
  • 46'
Right, here we go then. Juve gets us underway, kicking from left-to-right. And whilst I was away, 'Del Piero' was trending on Twitter in the UK. What a wonderful world we live in. Is it Totti's turn in the second half though?
  • I'm off for a cup of tea, but in the meantime, hit me up with any predictions/thoughts/ love for Del Piero @alexjmott. I'll be back for the second half in 15 minutes.
  • 45'
That'll be that then. The referee blows for half time, and at the Juventus Arena it's Del Piero 2-0 Totti.
  • 43'
COR. Pjanic smashes a free kick just wide of the left-hand post from about 30yds out. So, so unlucky.
  • 41'
Lichtsteiner goes through after a mistake by Heinze. Luckily for the former Marseille man though, Kjaer is covering, and the Dane lashes the ball out for a throw in.
  • 39'
    Yellow Card Miralem Pjanic
  • 39'
Oh, that is poor. Estigarribia, all alone on the left-hand side of the area, goes through on goal, and fires into the side netting. He almost had too long to think about that.
  • 37'
Roma just look stunned out there now. And to top it all off, Pjanic dives in wildly on Lichtsteiner, and receives a yellow card for his troubles.
  • 35'
Whilst trying to simultaneously do a live commentary and text a friend, my phone just tried to auto-correct Del Piero to Del Poetic. Oh, the irony.
  • 33'
    Yellow Card Andrea Barzagli
  • 33'
It's a free kick to Roma almost immediately from kick off, right outside the area. And it's Totti to take. Pjanic lays it off, but Totti's shot is blocked by the Juve wall, and the ball spins out for a throw in.
  • 30'
    Goal Alessandro Del Piero
GOOOOAAAALLLL JUVE. And guess who? Yes, Alessandro Del Piero, with a stunner. A goal kick from Storari found the head of Borriello, who played it delicately back to Del Piero. And the Grand Old Man of Italian football, with two tocuhes, stroked it in from 25yds, right into the top right-hand corner of the net. What a goal. 2-0.
  • 27'
Roma are having a lot of the ball, but Juve look most likely to score. That time, Giaccherini went on a great run from deep, released Estigarribia on the right-hand side, and the Paraguayan whipped in a fantastic ball, one that Stekelenburg just got a fingertip to.
  • 25'
I don't want to be rude, this early on. But why is Simplicio playing? Twice now, within the past two minutes, he's had the ball in an advanced position, and twice now, he's done absolutely nothing with it.
  • 23'
The corner is played short. The corner is rubbish.
  • 22'
Bojan's playing apparently? And with what must be his first touch, he takes on Chiellini and wins a corner.
  • 21'
Borriello nicks the ball off Taddei on the halfway line, and goes on a barn-storming run down the right flank. He gets the area, and tries to cut inside Kjaer, but Kjaer manages to stick his foot out and get the ball. Juve fans behind the goal shout for a penalty, but nothing's given and Roma escpae up the field with the ball.
  • 18'
Roma are really getting their heads together now. This time, a dinked through ball from Pjanic tries to find Simplicio, but Barzagli comes across and blocks his route to the ball.
  • 16'
It's a corner up the other end for Roma now. And the ball, whipped in from Pjanic, finds Kjaer arriving late, but his header goes over the bar.
  • 15'
It's a corner to Juve now as Taddei puts the ball behind. The set piece from Del Piero is a poor one though, and the ball goes all the way behind for a goal kick.
  • 13'
OOHHH. It looked like a great chance there, but Borriello, all alone inside the six yard box, couldn't quite sort his feet out, and the ball from the right by Marrone runs away for a goal kick.
  • 11'
Estigarribia does fantastically well there to get on the end of a quite wayward through ball from Giaccherini on the right-flank. But after doing brilliantly to get there, his cross in is a poor one, and Stekelenburg comes out and claims well.
  • 9'
    Yellow Card Marcelo Estigarribia
Estigarribia goes through on goal, but is adjudged to be offside, and gets a booking for kicking the ball away. Silly boy.
  • 8'
I had a feeling this perhaps wasn't going to be a cagey cup tie, and with that, freak, early goal, my instincts have been proved right. What can Roma come up with now?
  • 6'
    Goal Emanuele Giaccherini
GOOOOOAAALLLL JUVE. And it's Giaccherini with the goal. A through ball from Barzagli is, in all truth, overhit, and instead of going to its intended target of Pirlo, it runs through to Giaccherini. The Italian goes through on goal completely unopposed, and slots it passed Stekelenburg, into the bottom right-hand corner. 1-0.
  • 5'
Borriello gets his first touch of the ball, and with it he goes on a charging run straight at the Roma defence. The loanee eventually gets a shot away, buts it blocked by Kjaer and Roma clear the danger.
  • 4'
    PIRLO GIVES THE BALL AWAY.
  • 3'
I forgot to mention before we kicked this off, that Juventus are playing in that pink away kit they've adopted for this season. Yeah, me too.
  • 2'
The ball is instantly played back to Stekelenburg, and, under pressure from Borriello, he plays it, somewhat awkwardly to Kjaer on the right-hand side of the area. The Danish international pumps it upfield, but it's towards no one in particular and Juventus have their first touches of the ball.
  • 1'
Here we go then. Roma will get us underway, kicking from left-to-right.
  • Kick off is literally minutes away. Both teams are lining up inside the tunnel, and the atmosphere here at the Juventus Arena is at boiling point.
  • Oh, and if you're, like me, hoping on the Twitter bandwagon, you can send me all your thoughts/musings/predictions/abuse @alexjmott.
  • It's Del Piero vs Totti then? If you're not sticking around now, frankly, I don't want you here.
  • And Roma: (4-3-3) Stekelenburg; Taddei, Heinze, Kjaer, Jose Angel; Pjanic, Gago, Simplicio; Lamela, Totti, Bojan.
  • The line-ups have just been handed to me, and here they are: Juve: (4-4-2) Storari; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Barzagli, Chiellini; Estigarribia, Marrone, Pirlo, Giaccherini; Del Piero, Borriello.
  • It was at this very same stage last year that Juve and Roma met. That time, Roma ran 2-0 winners. Will it be the same this time around? Both sides are in fantastic veins of form; Juve, obviously, are still unbeaten this season, whilst Roma haven't lost in their last six matches including a 1-1 draw with Juve back in December.
  • Good evening and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE, play-by-play coverage of Juventus vs Roma in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. I'm Alex Mott, I'll be your commentator, and I'll be trying to make the Coppa Italia sound interesting. Wish me luck.
