Aside from a save from Astori at the beginning of the second half, the former Sampdoria goalkeeper had little to do on the night.
Awful. The former Napoli defender was clearly out of position. Slow and clumsy. Juventus fans will hope they won’t see much of him this term.
Decent job from the Czech defender. The right footed full-back started on the left and was tidy at the back, but rarely came forward.
Despite the goal, his display wasn’t impressive. He has to improve his marking and was a bit disappointing dealing with Matri.
Always the best man at the back, but could have done a little more to prevent Matri from scoring the opener. Still he is solid and strong, pretty much irreplaceable for the Old Lady.
Another good display from the Brazilian. He did miss Claudio Marchisio in midfield but did a good job helping out his team-mates.
It wasn’t easy to replace Claudio Marchisio, but if the former Liverpool player is to earn a regular place in this team the fans will expect him to do much more than he did tonight. He clearly lacked personality in the middle of the park.
Hard-working and useful, the former Udinese player created plenty of openings and was important for Juventus.
Fantastic display from the Serbian. The blond winger scored a hat-trick and led Juventus to victory. He may not be as good as Pavel Nedved but he was unquestionably the man of the match - fast and furious.
It was his first league start of the season and a good effort from him. His first touch wasn’t superb but he fought hard for Juve constantly tracking back – he will improve with time.
The Italian forward missed two good opportunities. He had a decent game but perhaps Luigi Del Neri was expecting a bit more from him.
The Cagliari No.1 could have done a little more on Krasic’s second, but overall his performance was decent.
His error led to Juve’s second goal and the Rossoblu full-back had a difficult game against Pepe.
Krasic was uncontrollable today, but Agostini could have done more than sit back and watch the show.
The Rossoblu defender needs to gain experience and this was a difficult match for him.
He did a decent job but it wasn’t easy to hold Amauri and Iaquinta. Still, Cagliari conceded from corner-kicks when there was little he could do about it.
Good display from Biondini, who looked tidy and inspired.
Not as inspired as we expected him to be. The Sardinian attacking midfielder failed to take advantage of Juve’s slow backline.
This boy made it a nightmare for Rinaudo and Juventus. He was a constant threat on the left flank and created several openings. Assisted both of Cagliari’s goals.
Not the best of performances from him. He struggled to make an impact.
- 9 R. Acquafresca
The Sardinians’ striker looked lively, scored a brace and gave Bonucci a headache. He looks to be one of the best youngsters around and he definitely has a bright future ahead of him.
- 13 A. Manninger
The Italian defender came in to watch Matri score his second.
- 25 J. Martínez
- 8 C. Marchisio
The former Valencia player looked eager even though he was only brought on for the last 10 minutes.
- 18 F. Quagliarella
A. Del Piero
The Old Lady legend didn't have much time on the pitch.
