Thanks for joining us at Goal.com for Juventus' 3-0 win against Atalanta in Turin, I've been Simon Harrison, and we hope to see you again next time!
Had Denis converted a Marrone mistake in the opening ten minutes, the game could have been entirely different, but the away side are left to rue their missed chance, as Atalanta stretch their winless run to three games.
Although Atalanta were resilient in the second half, owing largely to saves from Consigli in between their posts, Conte will be struggling to fathom how his side didn't manage to add to their tally further - with Giovinco being a main culprit for missing chances.
Pirlo's wonderful free-kick was the pick of the goals, curling home a long-range effort beautifully to put Juventus firmly in the driving seat.
Juventus could have just potentially stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to seven points, should Napoli lose to Bologna later on, thanks to goals from Vucinic, Pirlo and Marchisio!
90' + 2'
Biondini commits a foul in a dangerous area, and a Juve free-kick promises to be the last of the action.
90' + 1'
Two minutes of stoppage time - Atalanta can't wait for the final whistle.
Unlucky for Quagliarella yet again! Consigli is again equal to one of the substitute's efforts! Vidal then goes close! Atalanta's goal really has lived a charmed life in the second half.
Quagliarella tries to pounce on the rebound after Consigli briefly fumbles a save, but the Italian goalkeeper grabs the ball well at the second attempt.
Pirlo has been magnificent this afternoon, he's really pulled the strings for 90 minutes and since Atalanta lost Manfredini he's had no less than 10 yards of space to operate in at all times.
Juve are happy to build their attacks patiently, and Atalanta are content not to press - they've reached a happy medium, it seems.
Atalanta are awarded a free-kick for a handball by Giaccherini, but Denis' effort is dragged wide with the help of a deflection.
Consigli denies Quagliarella yet again, the Atalanta keeper has performed admirably today - though the Juve strikers can be somewhat held responsible for shooting straight at him at times.
Atalanta's pressing is non-existent, it seems that the visitors just want to get on the team bus home now.
Denis is brought down heavily by Lichtsteiner, as the Argentine attempted a Cruyff turn to get out of trouble.
A dangerous cross from Padoin doesn't meet the head of any players at all, the ball flashes across the box, but no one can stretch to turn it home.
Consigli collects a tame Giaccerini effort with total ease.
Juve aren't in a rush, and haven't been for sometime, as I think both teams would be happy to run down the clock! Pirlo balloons an effort over from the edge of the area with his weaker foot - that's probably the only thing he's done wrong all afternoon.
A delightful reverse pass from Vidal finds Padoin in an advanced position, but Lucchini manages to divert Padion's cross away.
OOOH! Giovinco blazes over yet again! After good work from Giaccherini to beat his man and cross the ball to the penalty spot, the former Parma man fails to hit the target.
CLOSE! Giovinco again! Consigli is again equal to an effort from the hapless forward - but although he can't score, he is playing rather well.
Pirlo delicately hangs a ball over the Atalanta defence, Asamoah meets it on the volley in an attempt to square the ball, but his ball can only find a defender.
Goalscorer Marchisio is given a standing ovation, as he is replaced by Giaccherini.
The Juve forwards combine again well, but Quagliarella's attempt to slip Giovinco through on goal runs through to Consigli.
Giovinco bursts free of the last defender, but drags his shot horribly wide - you get the impression it's not his day today.
HOW'S HE MISSED! Peluso blasts the ball miles over the bar from two yards out with Buffon helpless. All he had to do was keep his head over it..
Marchisio gives the ball away to the away side, who slows play down and retain some possession - which eventually results in Marrone putting the ball behind for a corner.
Now it's Quagliarella's turn to be denied by the linesman's flag! After patient build up play, Pirlo fires an effort at goal, it is parried to the feet of the Juve substitute by Consigli and he taps home from an offside position.
Ooh! Consigli is this time equal to a deflected Marchisio effort, that was devilish for the goalkeeper who dealt with it well.
A great passage of play from the away side results in a corner for Atalanta - but the resulting delivery fails to even reach the first man in blue and black!
Giovinco thought he'd scored, after squeezing an effort home under Consigli, but the Italian wheels around the see the linesman's flag raised. No goal, Giovinco was offside.
Buffon races out and commandingly claims a Schelotto cross. This is proving to be a frustrating afternoon for Denis and Moralez, they're getting scraps to feed on from their teammates.
Quagliarelli replaces Vucinic, whose poor pass of moments ago proves to be his last contribution. Not that he'll mind, he's netted his first goal in the Juventus stadium since the start of the year!
Great interplay from Vucinic and Giovinco looks to have a real sense of danger about it, however the attack comes to nothing, as Vucinic plays a pass into open space. He's done that worringly often in this match!
Bellini spreads play to Schelotto, who spirals a ball towards the back post, but Marrone was able to flick the ball away from danger.
Lichtsteiner attempts to square the ball across the six-yard box to Giovinco, but the delayed pass to the Swiss wide man from Vucinic means that he runs out of space to run into! All came to nothing - goal-kick for Atalanta.
An ambitious Cigarini shot balloons way over Buffon's bar. I don't think the Juve shot-stoppers' heartbeat changed whatsoever, he knew that wasn't dangerous.
Giovinco stings the gloves of Consigli, who gets down to a Giovinco strike well yet again!
The away side are really struggling to cause Juve any problems. Although they're pressing at times and getting the ball wide a lot, Buffon has rarely been forced into a tough save.
Atalanta pick up two corners in the opening minutes of the second half, but neither come to fruition. Juve have been too strong in the air today.
Another substitution for the away side, Biondini has replaced Radovanovic in the centre of midfield. And the second half begins!
Half time. Juventus don't deserve the Scudetto if they can't see this game out. After total domination and a red card for Atalanta's Manfredini, I couldn't think of a more comfortable situation for the league leaders. Their only enemy is complacency, as the away side certainly aren't a worthy foe at this point!
45' + 1'
Consigli does well to turn a Vidal effort around the post with the last kick of the first half. Juve will have to implode if they are to not win this game.
Giovinco has gone down holding what seems to be his throat.. he's back on his feet now though.
Vidal breaks quickly, switching the ball wide to Vucinic, but the Juve striker is blocked off as he attempts to burst down the wing.
Denis claims for a penalty, after he look to be tugged when shaping to fire an effort at Buffon's net. The referee waves away the muted protests.
Moralez' cross is headed behind for a corner by Chiellini. Both him and Barzagli have had total aerial domination so far!
Bonaventura is substituted for Stendardo. It looks as though Colantuono it looking to prevent embarrassment in this game now - and you can sympathise with his decision.
Vucinic and Giovinco break quickly for Juve, but the Montenegro international fails to pick out his pass to the back post - which was aimed towards Lichtsteiner.
Pirlo jinks past two Atalanta players, beating them all ends up, feeds the ball to Giovinco but he fails to find the Juve maestro with the return ball.
Bonaventura miscontrols the ball and it rolls out of play for a Juve corner. Things just haven't gone Atalanta's way whatsoever in this first half.
Pirlo whips in a searching cross, but Bellini is equal to it. That was a good intervention!
Down to ten men and three goals down before half time.. Atalanta surely have to approach the game with a mentality of damage limitation now.
Yellow/Red Thomas Manfredini
RED CARD! Manfredini picks up two yellow cards in the opening 31 minutes and it taking an early walk down the tunnel!
Yellow Card Thomas Manfredini
Juve have been in total domination during this first half, but had Denis converted from Marrone's mistake, could it have been a different game altogether?
Barzagli heads away two Schelotto crosses in quick succession. Atalanta are putting plenty of balls into the box, but have won nothing in the air. Change of gameplan needed, perhaps.
Assist Giorgio Chiellini
Goal Claudio Marchisio
GOAL! Juve surely won't be caught now! Marchisio fires beyond Consigli, finding the bottom corner!
Atalanta press forward, whipping a cross into the Juve box, but Chiellini heads away strongly.
Marchisio clips Giovinco in behind Bellini and the little Italian fires an effort at Atalanta's front post. Consigli gets down well to beat it out for a corner.
Buffon claims a Bonaventura cross simply. Denis and Moralez are barely involved in the game, Atalanta really are looking toothless.
Vucinic sees a shot blocked well by pressing Atalanta defenders, allowing their keeper to catch the ball easily, after initial good build-up play from Giovinco.
A tame effort from Giovinco is collected easily by Consigli. The Atalanta keeper has barely had anything to do except pick the ball out of his net!
OOOH! Chiellini fires a shot at goal after galloping forward from defence, but it's deflected wide for a corner.
Manfredini clears a Lichtsteiner cross at the near post. Juve are in total domination here, Atalanta will have to hope for another Marrone slip!
Who knows if Atalanta can recover from this deficit. I'd be shellshocked purely from watching that Pirlo free-kick. It's definitely worth watching again.
Goal Andrea Pirlo
GOOOOOOOOAL! WHAT A FANTASTIC FREE-KICK FROM ANDREA PIRLO! From 25 yards out, the maestro curls a great free kick beyond the helpless Consigli!
Giovinco picks up a free-kick about 25 yards out, as Bellini blocked off the tricky forward.
Moralez fires a venomous effort at Buffon in the home side's net, but the veteran stopper pats the ball down and collects. Not a bad effort.
Moralez puts a dangerous cross across the six-yard box, but Juve manage to scramble the ball away.
Vucinic gets in behind the Atalanta defence again, but is penalised seemingly for a high foot when controlling the ball. That did look a little soft.
The free-kick cleared easily. Cigarini goes down clutching his ankle, Giovinco puts the ball out of play. The midfielder should be alright to continue.
Chiellini gives away a free-kick in a very dangerous area, and is extremely fortunate not to pick up a yellow card for his challenge, it really was quite ugly.
Bonaventura fires a tame effort wide of Buffon's post. The Atalanta winger had the chance to swing the ball over to the back post, but opted to take the shot on.
Denis hasn't had the best luck so far, the Argentine has been involved twice but has failed to do anything with the possession.
SO CLOSE! Denis should have levelled! The Argentine burst through on goal after a defensive mistake from Juve. Luckily for them Buffon was quick off his line to deny the Atalanta striker!
That's a start of nightmares for the away side, they're going to have some work to do now!
Assist Sebastian Giovinco
Goal Mirko Vučinić
GOAL! Vucinic tucks home after Giovinco's splitting pass put the forward through on goal! That's his first goal at home since January!
And we're underway! Can Juve capitalise on Inter's stumble yesterday?
The players are out on the pitch, we are minutes from kick-off!
If Juventus were to win this afternoon, and Napoli were to drop points against Bologna this evening, the Old Lady could find themselves six points clear at the top of Serie A.
Atalanta starting line-up: Consigli; Peluso, Manfredini, Lucchini, Bellini; Bonaventura, Cigarini, Radovanovic, Schelotto; Moralez, Denis.
Juventus starting line-up: Buffon; Barzagli, Marrone, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Asamoah; Giovinco, Vucinic.
