The Nerazzurri will look to bounce back...
Returning to winning ways
Italian and European champions Inter's season appeared to have got off to a good start when they came from behind to defeat Roma in the Italian Super Cup but since then things have not looked rosy for the Beneamata. Defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup was followed by a 0-0 draw with Bologna away from home in their opening game of the new league season.
However, Rafael Benitez's side will look forward to making their home debut in Serie A this campaign with a win. The Nerazzurri are very strong at the San Siro and indeed should be the favourites for a victory.
Inter supremo Massimo Moratti has already expressed his faith in Benitez despite a mediocre start to the season but the Spaniard should know that he has to take care of the fans too who after achieving tremendous success under Jose Mourinho for the past two years will not hold their patience for too long.
Looking for an upset
Udinese had a poor away record in Serie A last season and they commenced the new Serie A campaign on a low note as well. The Bianconeri went down 1-0 to Genoa at home in their opening game of the league campaign.
A win against Inter in Milan is not very much possible but having watched Bologna hold the Nerazzurri to a 0-0 draw at home just under two weeks back, indeed the Udine-based side will be buoyant of garnering three points.
Midfielder Gokhan Inler stated,"I have nothing to say, Udinese want to win in Milan. Everything else is not a concern. I think just about working hard.
“Everyone will give their best, we expect a tough match, because Inter will do everything in their power to win and you must expect their best. But we also want to win and will try to conquer the three points."
Thiago Motta is out with injury but Benitez will have the rest of his squad available.
