LAST MEETING

June 5, 2010: Netherlands 6-1 Hungary

The two sides last met in the summer of 2010 when Netherlands were preparing for the World Cup. Most of the Hungarian players had finished their season a while before and Oranje cruised to a comfortable 6-1 win to get a real confidence boost ahead of the 2010 World Cup. The match will be remembered by many for the hamstring injury Dutch winger Arjen Robben picked up during the game.

Dzsudzsak is without a doubt his side's most dangerous player at the moment. The tricky winger has been in impressive form all season long and has attracted the interest of several big teams. The match against Netherlands will be the perfect opportunity for him to show what he can do against tough opposition and Dzsudzsak will be desperate to prove his worth.

W. Sneijder

Position: Midfielder

Oranje will have to make do without the services of prolific hitman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar due to injury, but they have plenty of stars left in their squad. Inter playmaker Wesley Sneijder was one of the best players around in 2010 and the gifted midfielder is again showing signs that he's in top form. The former Madrid star will do his utmost to lead the Dutch to their fifth consecutive Euro 2012 qualifier win.

Editor's Prediction

Despite the absence of several important players, Netherlands will start the match as sky-high favourites. Oranje have won all their qualifying games since Euro 2008 and have impressed in their previous four games. Hungary won't be pushovers though as they've also won three out of their four qualifiers. The individual quality of the away side will eventually prove to too much for Hungary though and Holland will cruise to a relatively easy away win.
