The Australian was not tested much by the Sunderland attack but was there whenever needed.

Provided the main threat for the Cottagers throughout most of the game. The American almost got lucky in the first half, trying to catch Mignolet off his line, but his 30 yard effort was saved by the Sunderland keeper.
Came in for Craig Gordon and produced a decent display, saving well from Andy Johnson in the second half
The Ghanaian defender produced a good display at the back and made a crucial block in the second half, heading off the line when Gera beat Mignolet to the ball from a Dempsey cross.
Did not last long on the Craven Cottage pitch after picking up an early injury that forced the defender off. Giving manager Steve Bruce more defensive worries at the back.
The loanee started the game at right-back but slotted alongside Mensah after Ferdinand was injured. Remained solid throughout and put in several important tackles to stop the Fulham attack in the second half
Switched to left back after starting on the right and made some good runs forward, while also remaining tight at the back
Played alongside Cattermole in midfield and tried to link up with the attack but to no avail. Booked in second half
The tenacious midfielder bossed the centre of the park for the Black Cats and linked well with the strikers when the away side were on the attack.
Covered every inch of the grass on the right side of the pitch for Sunderland today. Linked well with captain Lee Cattermole and his crosses caused Fulham's backline problems especially in the first half.
Came in for Gyan but made little impact on the game and was substituted in the second half
