I hope you have enjoyed our coverage of this goalfest today! I have been Hayden Gribble and you, haver been most welcome. Have a great evening!
FULL TIME: FULHAM 1-4 SUNDERLAND. What a performance from Sunderland! The result is nothing more than a shock as a hat-trick from Adam Johnson and one from Ki ensures a thrashing for the Cottagers. Gus Poyet's side are off the bottom of the table and for Fulham, well they must be shell-shocked!
90' + 3'
STAT ATTACK: This will be Sunderland's fifth Premier League win over the Cottagers.
90' + 1'
There will be FOUR minutes of added on time.
WHAT A SAVE! Sidwell pokes towards goal from point blank range but Mannone gets down low to turn it away. Great save from the former Arsenal stopper!
Well, who would have predicted this scoreline? Johnson has been immense today and this really could be the result that changes the Black Cats' season!
Penalty Goal Adam Johnson
GOAL! The winger rolls the ball into the bottom corner and sends the keeper the wrong way for his third in the game!
PENALTY TO SUNDERLAND! Mike Dean points to the spot after Altidore goes flying after Senderos takes his legs away. The tumble may have been theatrical but it's a chance for Johnson to get his hat-trick!
CHANCE! Amorebieta sees Berbatov in a good position in the box but his cross is gathered by Mannone, who snatches the ball off the Bulgarian's head.
AS IT STANDS: The Black Cats will jump up one place in the table and off the bottom but they will remain level on points with Crystal Palace, who are currently losing to Tottenham.
Fulham - credit to them - are still probing for a way back into this game, but they have lacked that magical final ball today to really hurt the visitors. For Sunderland, they are content to soak the pressure up at the moment!
SAVE! Kasami puts a cross in but it swirls in the air and nearly drops under Mannone's bar! The keeper manages to tip it away from danger!
STAT ATTACK: Before today, Sunderland had been the only team in the bottom eight not to have won a game against another side currently in that section of the Premier League table.
Larsson makes his bow as the Black Cats have a free-kick on the left-hand-side. Riise clears the danger but the Teesiders are looking hungry here!
That goal has well and truly deflated the home side and their fans. It is harsh on the Cottagers but it could be the win that Gus Poyet's side need to start shooting up the table!
STAT ATTACK: Sunderland were victorious at Craven Cottage last season, winning 3-1 in one of only four successes away from home last season. (BBC Sport)
Yellow Card Adam Johnson
Assist Sung-Yong Ki
Goal Adam Johnson
GOAL! What a fantastic finish from Johnson, who grabs his second of the afternoon. Sunderland pour forward on the counter attack and a fantastic through-ball from Ki finds Johnson, who side foots past Stockdale to make it 3-1!
There is a mix-up at the back and Mannone and O'Shea clatter ihto one another. There are some real nerves at the back here!
OOF! Cattermole and Sidwell slide in on each other fully committed to winning the ball and Parker also gets caught up. No hard fellings for the hard men however and there are handshakes all round.
OVER! Riether picks out Dempsey again but the American's header loops high over the bar!
There are ten men behind the ball at all times in the visitors' half. The longer the scoreline stays the same, the deeper the Black Cats will go. Can Fulham find an equaliser?
SAVE! Cattermole strikes from distance but his shot is tipped wide by Stockdale. It looked like it may have been curling wide but the keeper had to make sure! The game is opening up!
CHANCE! The Black Cats set nerves jangling as they break forward with real purpose. Borini shapes to hit it from the edge of the box but he pulls his shot wide.
Yellow Card Scott Parker
Yellow Card Jack Colback
Johnson breaks through but faisl to see Ki in acres of space! One look up and the Cottagers could have been in real trouble there!
Dempey feels that he was fouled as he leaped for a cross but Mike Dean give nothing and indicates a goal-kick for Sunderland.
This game is so open now anything could happen! The home side look rejuevinated after the break and who knows, maybe there is a comeback on the cards!
Assist Damien Duff
Goal Steve Sidwell
GOAL! Fulham are back in it! Duff puts a great ball in from a corner and Sidwell stoops to header in with little pressure from any Sunderland defenders! Game on!
The Cottagers have made a very promising start to this half as Riether's low cross is smothered by Mannone before the lurking Berbatov could pounce.
Riise's searching cross eludes Berbatov and goes out for a throw-in on the far side.
Fulham get us back underway!
Both sides are emerging back onto the pitch. A goal for Fulham will put them right back in this game. For Sunderland? Game over. The second half is coming right up.
STAT ATTACK: 2 - Sunderland have scored twice in the first-half for the first time in 36 Premier League games (3-1 v Wigan in Jan 2013). Boost. (Opta Joe)
HALFTIME - FULHAM 0-2 SUNDERLAND. Despite making a bright spark, the Cottagers have had their stuffing knocked out of them after two well-worked free-kicks herald two goals for the Black Cats. At the moment, the visitors are on course for their first away win in the Premier League this season!
There will be TWO minutes of added on time.
OVER! Taarabt blasts high over Mannone's bar. This game has really gone against the Cottagers so far. They looked the better side in the opening exchanges, can they get back in this?
Assist Adam Johnson
Goal Sung-Yong Ki
GOAL! Ki doubles Sunderland's lead. It is another well worked free-kick that finds the midfielder in the six-yard-box, who touches the ball onto Stockdale and into the empty net!
Yellow Card John Arne Riise
Borini looks like he has been shot! The striker goes down in a challenge with Riise and the left-back gives away a free-kick in a dangerous position!
Yellow Card Steve Sidwell
Sunderland are happy to keep up possession on the left but there is no way through at the moment. Johnson's free-kick still seperates the sides.
Nervy scenes in the Fulham penalty area as Stockdale fails to take a free-kick and drops it in the box. A melee ensues before the Cottagers finally manage to clear!
GOAL DISALLOWED! Dempsey's half-volley is chalked off after Berbatov is judged to have been offside in the build-up.
OVER! Parker has a go from 30 yards but his shot flies over the bar. How will the Cottagers get back into this game?
Yellow Card Phil Bardsley
Goal Adam Johnson
GOAL! What a goal from Johnson! The former Manchester City man bends his free-kick over the wall and into the top corner. Stockdale got both hands to it but it wasn't enough to keep it out!
TRICKY! Johnson draws a foul from Sidwell after ghosting past two players and Mike Dean blows for a free-kick just outside the box.
STAT ATTACK: The Cottagers have conceded the first goal in a league-high 15 games but have fought back to win three games from losing positions, the joint second best record. (BBC Sport)
SAVE! Taarabt shoots from an acute angle and blasts the ball at the legs of Mannone when he should have passed. Corner to Fulham but it is cleared.
Damien Duff is finding all sorts of space on the right wing today. He drives a high cross into the box but a flick-on from Dempsey fails to find a teammate.
MISS! A well-worked free-kick from the visitors finds Fletcher in rhe box, but his header is miles over!
Adam Johnson is looking lively on the wing for Gus Poyet's men but he has been unable to find Borini in the centre so far. His final ball will be crucial.
SAVE! Sunderland have thier first shot on target as Bardsley has a pop from distance but Stockdale turns the shot wide of the post for a corner.
WIDE! Dempsey side steps a challenge roughly 20 yards out and puts the ball in low looking for Berbatov, but his cross/shot bobbles out of play for a goal kick.
A good build-up of play between Berbatov and Duff nearly leads to a chance for Dempsey, but O'Shea slides in to put the ball out fo danger following a low cross in the box from the Irishman.
STAT ATTACK: Sunderland are unbeaten in their last four away matches in the league, their best run since a six-game streak between August-November 1999. (BBC Sport)
That was a bit of a let-off for the black Cats, who have not been in this game at all. Will that missed chance wake them up a bit?
MISS! It's Berbatov again with a brilliant chance to put the home side in the lead. Riether nicks the ball on the halfway line and bombs forward, picking out the striker with a low cross, but he fails to steer his touch on target!
CHANCE! Berbatov manages to win a corner for the Cottagers by back heeling the ball onto O'Shea. From the resulting corner, the Bulgarian gets behind his marker but makes little contact and heads the ball into the ground.
Riise looks to latch onto a long ball from Parker but the Norway international looses it in the sunlight. No chances yet for either side.
It's a bright start from the home side as they are probing the Black Cats' back four early on in the bright January sunshine.
We are off with Sunderland kicking from right to left!
Both sides are out at the Cottage, kick-off is just moments away!
Not long now until kick-off, which side will emerge with all three points today? Both need it to steer clear of the relegation places so expect this to be a fantastic game!
As for the visitors, Gus Poyet makes two changes to the side who won against Manchester United in the Carling Cup Semi-final in midweek. Adam Johnson and Jack Colback come in for Sebastian Larsson and Emanuele Giaccherini in what looks like a big game for both clubs.
The big news for the Cottagers is that Clint Dempsey makes his first start since returning to the club on loan from MLS side Seattle Sounders. He replaces Kieran Richardson in the West Londoner's only change.
