T. Howard 7' (own goal)
S. Sidwell 90'
M. Fellaini 55', 72'
Fulham steal a point right at the death in a game which Everton controlled from start to finish. Howard's unlucky own goal got the hosts off to the perfect start, but it was Everton who dominated possession and created numerous chances. Fellaini converted two of those and the Toffees looked to have the game deservedly won, only for the Cottagers to steal a point with through Sidwell's last gasp tap in.
FULL-TIME: Fulham 2-2 Everton
90' + 3'
Everton have a corner Baines picks out Distin but his gets under the ball and heads harmlessly towards goal. David Moyes cuts a frustrated figure on the touchline while Schwarzer takes his time with a goal kick.
90' + 1'
Frantic stuff now! Three minutes to be added on.
Assist Dimitar Berbatov
Goal Steve Sidwell
Coleman loses the ball in the middle of the park and the ball goes out wide to Reither who flashes his cross across the box. Berbatov somehow misses it, but Sidwell is on hand to turn it in at the far post. Smash and grab from the hosts!
GOAL!!! Fulham 2-2 Everton (Sidwell)
Naismith has a chance to wrap up the three points! Everton outnumber Fulham on the counter and the Scot is presented with a one-on-one chance but his finish across goal is not far enough into the corner, allowing Schwarzer to gather.
Berbatov tries to wriggle free of Jagielka inside the box but the England defender has had the better of the silky Fulham striker all afternoon.
Wow! Fellaini denied a superb hat-trick goal! Naismith swings in a cross towards the big man and he hits an amazing volley heading for the top corner but Schwarzer keeps it out. What a goal that would have been!
Yellow Card Leon Osman
Off the post and off the line! first Fellaini's shot from a wide angle is deflected on to the post by Hangeland, Naismith then turns the rebound towards goal but Baird is on the line to keep the Scot out!
Everton now set up with two banks of four with only Jelavic and Fellaini anywhere near the halfway line. Looks like Fulham are going to shift to a back three, with Riether playing right up the pitch as the hosts look for a route back into the game.
Into the final ten minutes and suddenly Everton have taken their foot off the gas. Whether that is intentional or not, it's allowing Fulham to harbor some hope of a comeback.
Mirallas strides into the Fulham half and has Jelavic peeling off one way and Fellaini going the other, he unfortunately plays half way between both team-mates and Fulham survive.
Yellow Card Chris Baird
Fulham can't really have any complaints about the scoreline. Everton have been by far the better team and are looking for a third to put the result beyond doubt.
Assist Phil Jagielka
Goal Marouane Fellaini
Fellaini strikes again! It's a goal we are getting used to seeing from the big man. A long ball out of defence from Jagielka picks out the Belgian who uses all his strength to shrug off a couple of challenges before finishing clinically, low into Schwarzer's left corner.
GOAL Fulham 1-2 Everton (Fellaini)
Mirallas is involved again. This time he crosses for Fellaini who it lays it off for Osman to strike from range but his left-footed effort is deflected out for a corner.
What a chance! A clever flick from Baines finds Mirallas in the box, the Belgian swivels in the box and decides to shot from a tight angle. Fellaini looks on in disgust with his arm raised waiting for the pass.
Reither saves Fulham! Great tracking back by the defender. Fellaini and Jelavic link up cleverly and the Fulham man comes across to make a last ditch challenge and put the Croatian off his finish.
The game has suddenly burst into life. Mirallas does well down the right side once again and almost picks out Pienaar with a low driven cross but Schwarzer does superbly to stretch out and divert the ball away from the South African.
Pienaar lets rip from just outside the area with his right foot but he won't beat Schwarzer at his near post.
Yellow Card Mahamadou Diarra
Diarra takes out Mirallas with an awful challenge, getting absolutely nowhere near the ball. Moyes is furious at the referee for only brandishing a yellow card.
John Arne Riise
Riise has been hauled off by Martin Jol, he was being exposed time and time again by Coleman. Dejagah comes on in his place.
Assist Kevin Mirallas
Goal Marouane Fellaini
Fellaini grabs the equaliser and deservedly so. Coleman slips through Mirallas on the right flank and the Belgian cuts it back for his compatriot to sweep home with a right-footed finish inside the near post. Game on!
GOAL!!! Fulham 1-1 Everton (Fellaini)
Riise and Baird are playing on the halfway line in this second half, keeping Baines and Coleman occupied rather than allowing them to venture forward.
Ruiz almost bundles his way through to goal and moments later Kacaniklic comes close to picking out Berbatov in the box with a cut back. Fulham seem to have woken up now, easily their best spell of the game. The crowd as loud as they have been this afternoon.
Kacaniklic and Riise combine well down the left flank with the Norwegian eventually drilling the ball across the face of Howard's goal. No Fulham player followed it in though.
The Toffees earn a free kick right on the corner of the box and the delivery is a great one from Baines, but Heitinga and Fellaini leave the ball for each other and neither get the touch that is needed to turn it into the net!
Second half has started just how the first one ended. Everton on the attack.
Everton take the kick-off and the second half is underway!
How Fulham are ahead I will never know. It has been all Everton in the first half with all the best chances falling to the visitors. The hosts took the lead via the back of Howard's head after Ruiz hit the post with a free-kick. The cottagers haven't offered anything else going forward and can count themselves fortunate at behind ahead at the break.
HALF-TIME: Fulham 1-0 Everton
One minute to be added on.
Chance! Baird is a very relieved man. His pass back to Riise is mishit and Jelavic pounces on the loose ball and attempts to lift it over the on rushing Schwarzer. Unfortunately for the visitors, the Croatian striker sends it high and wide.
Oh my! Jagielka takes a pop shot from at least 30 yards from goal and it whistles just past the post with Scwarzer rooted to the spot. Fulham just hanging on until half-time now.
Fellaini chests the ball down inside the box and just when the big Belgian looks to shoot, Riether came out of nowhere to pinch the ball from him. Great defending.
Now Fulham have a free-kick in a wide area. Ruiz delivers the cross but Jagielka is on hand to clear.
Baines' free kick flashes right across the area. Schwarzer comes to get it but misses it by a long way, he shouldn't have come for it and perhaps is lucky to get away with it.
Yellow Card John Arne Riise
Riise goes into the book for bringing down Coleman. The Irishman is giving the Fulham man all sorts of problems. Keep an eye on that one.
Coleman gets the better of Riise on the right, cuts into the box and tries to bend one round the keeper with his left-foot. Decent effort, from one of Everton's better performers in this first period.
Real chance! Baines and Pienaar link up on the left, as they so often do, and Baines picks out Jelavic with a peach of a cross but the Croatian hitman heads his effort straight into the deck and it bounces rather nicely for Schwarzer to collect. Big moment.
The Toffees are getting frustrated now. All the pressure and possession has been with the side in blue but Fulham have that all elusive goal.
Jelavic flicks on Phil Neville's searching ball into the path of Jagielka, who takes one touch and and attempts a Hollywood volley. It goes out for a throw-in.
Close! Coleman, who has been having a fine game, swerves in another great cross which takes a slight deflection throwing off both attackers and defenders. The ball just hits Fellaini before he knows anything about it.
Good chance wasted by Fulham. Ruiz finds acres of space just outside the area and attempts an ambitious curler into the top corner, when he might have been better off just smacking one at goal.
The corner is wasted by Fulham and Pienaar scuppers up the field before running into the frame of Hangeland.
Ruiz embarrasses Mirallas with a hefty challenge and Fulham again break in numbers. Damien Duff eventually crosses from the right, forcing Jagielka to concede a corner.
Pienaar is playing out on the right with Mirallas on the left, the understanding between the South African and Leighton Baines has been one of Everton's most potent attacking threats in recent years. How long before they revert to the old system?
Jelavic wins the ball in the Fulham half but suddenly finds himself surrounded by five defenders. Moments later Fellaini attempts to thread the Croatian a through pass but Hughes is alert to the danger.
First decent spell of possession for the hosts and the crowd respond with a little bit of noise.
Slip from Ruiz opens up some space for Pienaar to fashion a shot but he takes a heavy touch and has to accept a corner. The corner is poor but eventually results in another shot on goal from Osman, it was never troubling Schwarzer.
Everton nearly caught with another sucker punch! Everton probed and pressed in the Fulham half until Riise got his foot on the ball and sent Fulham on the counter. Berbatov held up the play well before Duff eventually tested Howard with a decent low strike. David Moyes shakes his head on the sidelines.
Since going ahead, Fulham have hardly touched the ball. It's been all Everton so far this afternoon, apart from the small matter of that goal.
Coleman swings in a cross from the right flank but Jelavic can't quite get into position for the header and ends up looping it into Schwarzer's arms.
Jelavic has a snap shot from close range and forces Schwarzer into a fine reflex save. Good response to going down from the visitors.
Own Goal Tim Howard
First effort by Fulham and it's an unfortunate own goal for Howard. Bryan Ruiz struck a super free-kick on to the post from 30 yards out, but the ball hit the woodwork and then rebounded off the helpless keeper to give the hosts the lead!
GOAL!!! Fulham 1-0 Everton (Howard OG)
Jelavic steps over a pass to allow it to reach Pienaar inside the box, but Hangeland snuffs out the opportunity for Everton in the nick of time.
Everton have taken the game to Fulham in the opening stages. Osman has another go at goal, the hosts are pegged back in their own half.
Fulham in a spot of bother early on. Steven Pienaar has a early shot from just outside the area, the South African caught it well but the shot was blocked by Hughes.
Fulham take the kick-off and we are underway!
Everton won all three matches between these two sides last season. Let's see if they can continue that good run this afternoon.
Both sides have emerged from the tunnel and we are moments away from kick-off!
James McManus reports from Craven Cottage: "Fulham manager Martin Jol makes two changes to the side that drew away at Reading last time out and brings in Bryan Ruiz, Alexander Kacaniklic for Kieran Richardson and Hugo Rodallega today, while Everton boss David Moyes makes just the one change from the side which drew 2-2 in the Merseyside derby last weekend, with John Heitinga preferred to Sylvain Distin at the heart of the visitors' back four."
Everton: Howard; Baines, Heitinga, Jagielka, Coleman; Pienaar, Neville, Osman, Mirallas, Fellaini; Jelavic. Subs: Mucha, Oviedo, Naismith, Distin, Hitzlsperger, Gueye, Anichebe.
Fulham: Schwarzer; Riise, Hangeland, Hughes, Riether; Duff, Diarra, Baird, Kacaniklic, Ruiz; Berbatov. Subs: Stockdale, Senderos, Sidwell, Petric, Karagounis, Rodallega, Dejagah.
