FULL TIME: Everton 0-0 Swansea
90' + 4'
Williams is down after taking a hand to the face from Pienaar, and it's looking like that may be the last of the action.
90' + 1'
We're into the first of four minutes of added time at Goodison Park.
Yellow Card Dwight Tiendalli
OVER THE BAR! Everton are throwing everything forward as early as possible now and this time Vellios holds the ball up for Jelavic, but the striker snatches at his effort and sends it far too high.
Yellow Card Michel Vorm
OOH! Close for Everton as Fellaini rises to head an early cross from Pienaar, but the Belgian is penalised for a foul on Tiendalli as Vorm tips the ball wide.
De Guzman's delivery is far too long and Howard collects easily.
Fellaini gives away a cheap free kick for holding onto De Guzman. A late chance for Swansea here.
Fellaini is like a battering ram through the midfield as Everton go in search of a winning goal, but he is blocked out and Swansea sweep up again.
Another change for the home side. Victor Anichebe is being replaced by Apostolos Vellios, who is likely to partner Jelavic in attack.
Off comes Michu for Danny Graham. Can the striker score the all-important goal in the closing stages?
Yellow Card Leighton Baines
Into the final 10 minutes here and Baines has gone into the book for a fairly soft foul on Angel Rangel, who made a real meal of it. The pair are still pointing and shouting at each other, too.
Osman goes down in the box to half-hearted appeals for a penalty from the home fans, but it looked as though Chico got plenty of the ball. Valiant defending by the Swansea central defensive pair today.
Jagielka should test Vorm with a header from another corner by Baines - who else? - but again the effort drifts over the bar.
Everton come again and the balls falls to Naismith in the box, but the forward opts to try to square the ball instead of shooting himself, and the attack is gone.
Pablo Hernandez - who is on a yellow card - is coming off to be replaced by Wayne Routledge, who should inject some pace into the Swansea attacking threat.
Pienaar displays some trickery in an attempt to unlock the Swansea back four, but his attempted scoop of a pass is cut out.
Phil Neville, who has been sturdy, if unspectacular, is being replaced by Steven Naismith, a slightly more attacking player by nature. David Moyes is showing his hand, here.
More good work from Everton releases Osman down the left-hand side, but his low cross is blocked. Will the hosts make the crucial breakthrough?
Still Everton press, but Swansea launch a counter and De Guzman gets into the channel on the right. His cross finds nobody in a penalty area void of red shirts, though.
Best chance of the half for Everton. Jelavic nods the ball down to the feet of Fellaini, but with his back to goal six yards out, the big Belgian can't turn and shoot as Ashley Williams makes it tough for him. The Swansea centre-back has been heroic for his side today.
Yellow Card Michu
Into the final half an hour and, just as they did against Chelsea, Swansea are sitting back, absorbing pressure and waiting for an opening. Everton continue to push them back though, and it'll be interesting to see which side is the first to give.
Yellow Card Pablo Hernández
Phil Dowd has shown a yellow card to Pablo Hernandez whilst giving the universal sign for chat. Presumably, the forward's mouth has got him into trouble there.
Jonathan De Guzmán
Here comes that substitution now. On comes Jonathan De Guzman for Nathan Dyer, meaning Michu could push further forward.
Here's David Lynch at Goodison Park: "Swansea look set to make a change, with Jonathan de Guzman readying himself to come on."
Howard is called into action by Pablo Hernandez as the forward cuts the ball onto his left foot and lets fly from around 20 yards out. It's a simple save, though.
Dyer, on the counter again, wastes a chance to create something for the visitors by just failing to control an early pass from deep. You get the feeling Swansea are going to have to hurt Everton on the break sooner rather than later, because the hosts are firmly in control now.
Yet another exceptional Baines corner finds the head of Distin this time, but the centre-back heads over. The England international has been typically accurate from dead ball situations today.
Everton waste no time to take control of the game after the break. Coleman bursts down the right and cuts inside, before Phil Neville collects the ball and forces a save from Vorm. From the corner, the Dutchman is called into action again by a Jagielka header.
We're back underway at Goodison Park.
Time for an update at the break from our man David Lynch, reporting from Goodison Park: "Make no mistake, this game may not have witnessed any ruthless finishing, but there has been some wonderful football from two sides going all out for the win. Let's hope for more of the same - with goals thrown in - when the game resumes."
HALF TIME: Everton 0-0 Swansea
45' + 1'
Angel Rangel tries his luck with a half-chance on the volley, but Howard collects down low.
We're approaching the interval now and Everton to continue to press. Baines plays a short corner and crosses after getting the ball back, but this time Phil Jagielka is caught underneath it and heads harmlessly over.
Poor miss by Leon Osman and he knows it. It's Baines once again with a brilliant cross from a free kick, but the midfielder, unmarked, heads the ball wide of the goal by some distance.
Close for Everton this time! Sheamus Coleman breaks into the penalty area down the right and pulls the ball back for Fellaini, but as in the first few moments of the game, he makes it far too easy for Vorm to save. The Belgian must score there.
OOH! Swansea hit the bar! Dyer releases Michu, who has advanced beyond the Everton defence and attempt s to chip Tim Howard, but the American gets fingertips to the ball and pushes it onto the bar! So close to a goal out of nowhere.
Oh dear. Nathan Dyer has been left red-faced as he tries a clever flick to Michu, who he thinks is behind him but has actually advanced way beyond his team-mate, and Everton regain possession.
Off the line again! A long ball into the Swansea penalty area is helped on by Fellaini, and Victor Anichebe heads beyond Vorm, but this time Ashley Williams is on hand to thump clear!
Chico again makes a vital interception to prevent Everton from threatening. This time the Spanish defender cuts out a long ball with a diving header back to Vorm. It's easy to see why the Swansea fans have taken to the centre-back so quickly.
Everton's main threat of a goal is coming from Baines and Pienaar, and the pair combine again for the left-back to cross, but Vorm collects before the ball finds Jelavic.
Swansea are just enjoying a spell of possession as Pablo Hernandez crosses into the box, but the Everton defence deal with the danger.
Swansea look like they're targeting a goal on the break at Goodison Park, as Ki tries to release Dyer, but the pass is too long.
Off the line! It's Everton threatening once again through the service of Baines. His corner is met by Jelavic who looks to have found the bottom corner with a header, but Tiendalli clears at the last!
Ooh! Jelavic and Pienaar combine to great effect and the striker looks to be in on goal, but a wonderful, almost Bobby Moore-esque block from Chico prevents a shot on goal.
More pressure from the hosts, now. Baines puts in a typically dangerous cross from the left, but the ball is cleared.
Great chance for Everton. Baines gives the ball to Pienaar, and the midfielder's curling cross is met by Jelavic, who extends a leg, but the ball trickles wide of the far post. Davies has to do better to stop the Croatian, there.
Swansea are seeing more of the ball now. Angel Rangel chases a pass from Ki, but Tim Howard gets there first.
More Swansea appeals for a foul are turned away. This time, Baines makes contact with Dwight Tiendalli, but referee Phil Dowd says no once again.
Pablo Hernandez wants a free kick just outside the Everton penalty area after forcing Pienaar into dangling a leg at him, but his pleas are turned away.
Vorm is called into action again. Ben Davies' sloppy pass back towards his own goal is intercepted by Nikica Jelavic, but the Dutchman rushes out and gets just enough on the ball to ease the danger.
Chance in the first minute for Everton, and it's that combination of Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar that opens up the Swansea back four for Marouane Fellaini, but his side-footed effort is easy for Michel Vorm to save.
And we're off! Swansea get the game underway
We're just a few moments from kick off now, and the players come out onto the pitch at Goodison Park to the familiar strains of the 'Z Cars' theme.
David Moyes' starting XI is a largely familiar one, too. Thomas Hitzlsperger takes his place on the bench having extended his short-term stay at Goodison Park until the end of the season.
Despite expending a lot of energy in beating Chelsea in the Capital One Cup in midweek, it's a largely unchanged Swansea side. Jonathan De Guzman drops to the bench with Kemy Agustien coming into the starting XI.
What would a win mean to both of these sides today? Well, a win for the hosts would see Everton move just a point behind Tottenham in third place, while Swansea have the chance to leapfrog Liverpool into eighth, at least until Sunday evening.
Both teams are set up with a fair amount of adaptability in the final third. Victor Anichebe is a striker who is more than capable of operating from a wide position if asked to by David Moyes. Swansea, meanwhile, have Pablo Hernandez, who could swap positions with Nathan Dyer or Angel Rangel, and then of course there's Michu, the prolific hitman who can play in a deeper midfield role if required.
Swansea: Vorm; Tiendalli, Chico, Williams, Davies; Agustien, Ki; Rangel, Pablo, Dyer; Michu. Subs: Tremmel, Bartley, Monk, Routledge, Britton, De Guzman, Graham.
Everton: Howard; Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines; Osman, Neville, Fellaini, Pienaar; Anichebe, Jelavic. Subs: Mucha, Oviedo, Naismith, Hitzlsperger, Vellios, Kennedy, Duffy.
We're just over 15 minutes away from kick off, so lets have a look at the teams!
