Everton - Fulham Preview: Clint Dempsey looks for third hat-trick this month in FA Cup trip to Goodison Park

David Moyes' men have struggled at home this season, but hold a good record over the west Londoners, having beaten them 10 times on Merseyside in the Premier League

David Moyes could make a few changes from the Everton side that disappointingly drew 1-1 with Blackburn at the weekend. Royston Drenthe is in line to return to the starting XI, whilst Jack Rodwell could overcome a hamstring strain in time to feature.

Ireland Under-21 international Shane Duffy is also set to deputise in central defence once again, with Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka both out injured. Leon Osman is out due to a knee problem.

Fulham are likely to retain most of the side that hammered in-form Newcastle United 5-2 at the weekend, but Moussa Dembele and Dickson Etuhu could return from respective injuries, with Steve Sidwell also facing a race to be fit.

Mark Schwarzer is still a week or two away from returning to action, while Zdenek Grygera remains the only long-term absentee for Martin Jol.

The American midfielder has been in great form since his loan move from LA Galaxy, with his diverse range of passing helping to bolster a Toffees attack that had looked limited at times this season. Expect him to be at the heart of Everton's play once again.

C. Dempsey

Another American midfielder who has been in red-hot form as of late. With the opportunity to grab a third hat-trick this month, he will surely be hoping to be amongst the goals once again.

Editor's Prediction

This game is a hard one to call and could go either way with both teams possessing similar qualities. Everton have a poor home record but have had the edge over Fulham in recent encounters.  However, I believe Fulham will build on their convincing victory over Newcastle last weekend and narrowly progress to the next round.
