Thanks for joining this LIVE text commentary with me Tom Etherington. Goodbye.
A brace from Alexis Sanchez is the difference for Chile as they leave the Wembley pitch victorious, after an England side containing three debutants struggled to keep up with the pace. It's a frustrating night for Roy Hodgson as he did not see much to make many decisions ahead of England's friendly with Germany on Tuesday.

The referee blows his whistle for full time and England suffer their first defeat of 2013.

90' + 2'
Jara finds space down the right for Chile but his cross is too deep to cause any problems for the England backline.
There will be five minutes added time. One last chance for England?
Time is running out and it is not looking like the scoreline will change, the chances in the second half have been very few and far between for both sides.
The Everton man has looked lively since coming on for Lallana but has committed just as many fouls, which is slowing the game right down.
Barkley shows some great feet to get beyond two on the left of the area, but his cross is fired straight at a Chile defender.
Hodgson looks frustrated on the England bench as his side continue to struggle while trying to create an opening.
Chile look comfortable and are happy to pass the ball around their backline as they look to take any sting out of the final 10 minutes.
Rooney tries to pick out Townsend on the right wing but his long pass is weak and Chile manage to intercept. That pretty much sums up England's performance this evening.
Chile are back on top now and are moving the ball around the pitch with aplomb. The visiting supporters are cheering every pass.
There are less than 20 minutes remaining here and England really need to step it up a gear, especially as all the substitutions could slow the tempo of the game right down.
Lallana needs treatment after over-stretching for a ball and looks like he will need to go off. Worrying for Southampton fans.
Baines teases a cross in towards Lallana, who attempts a flick on but gets it all wrong. Another decent chance goes begging for England.
Yellow Card Chris Smalling
Yellow Card Gonzalo Jara
The corner is eventually delivered into the box and Bravo punches the ball clear rather than catching it.
The referee shows yellow cards to both Smalling and Jara for an incident before the corner. The Chilean actually led with his head there, which could have prompted a red card.
Baines and Lampard stand over the ball.
It's Baines who shoots, but the Everton defender's effort is deflected off the wall and out for another England corner. The referee is struggling to keep an eye on pushing inside the box.
Free kick to England on the edge of the Chilean box after Medel loses control of the ball and lunges in on Wilshere. Good chance to test Bravo.
Wilshere surges forward from midfield once again but can't find a way through the Chilean backline. The hosts need to create one killer pass.
The goalkeeper has stayed down for treatment and Chile prepare to make another change.
Bravo does really well to come through the crowd and gather a Lallana corner. He is bundled over by Cahill, who has just been booked.
As expected, Rodriquez's debut comes to an end as he is replaced by Townsend, while Chris Smalling comes on for Jones.
Yellow Card Gary Cahill
Cahill lets frustration get the better of him and he picks up a yellow card for a very late challenge on Guiterrez.
Rooney pops up on the left, drifts inside and fires a very ambitious effort from 25 yards out towards the corner flag. He has looked like a frustrated striker so far.
Baines wastes two set pieces as he plays the ball straight to Chile and the visitors manage to counter from the second. England have made it easy for them this evening.
Great play from Rooney and Lallana as the two combine to help England press forward and earn a corner as Diaz makes an important interception.
The second half has started in similar fashion to the first, with Chile controlling possession and forcing England back.

England fans return to their seats and the hosts get the game back underway.
Two substitutions for Chile but none for the hosts.
The two teams are back out on the pitch for the second half.
There will be changes in the second half and as Jay Rodriguez has failed to make an impact so far, he could make way for Andros Townsend or Ross Barkley as Hodgson tries to evaluate his whole squad.
Hodgson won't be too disappointed with his side so far as England have coped well after going behind to that early goal. Chile have played some very attractive football so this is a great chance to see how England fair against tricky opposition.
England 0-1 Chile. The visitors deservedly lead at the break after Alexis Sanchez's superb header in the seventh minute. Hodgson's side have looked sharp in places, with Wilshere and Lallana impressing, but failed to threaten in the final third.

Rooney is penalised for climbing on Medel's back as the striker looks to meet a deep cross into the box with his head. Free kick to Chile.
Lallana has been brilliant so far and manages to earn the hosts another free kick. This time Lampard's ball into the box is cleared and Chile counter attack.
CHANCE! Wilshere earns England a corner with a driving run into the box and the resulting set piece is met by Jones, who directs the ball narrowly wide of the post.
Sanchez attempts a through ball down the right flank but Rodriguez works back and makes a crucial interception.
The hosts are getting frustrated now and Rooney vents some of his anger towards his team-mates. The Manchester United striker hasn't been able to make an impact so far.
CHANCE! Another big opportunity for Chile as some good passing releases Beausejour, but the Wigan man's control lets him down with just Forster to beat. England scramble back to clear the danger.
Beausejour's resulting corner finds the smallest man on the field as Medel leaps the highest but fails to steer his header on target.
Bravo's goal kick finds Mena down the left but Lallana manages to get back to make a strong challenge.
England continue to knock on the door as Rodriguez and Wilshere try to combine in the box, but the ball runs through to Bravo.
SHOT! Wilshere tries his luck from outside the area with a powerful first-time effort but the goalkeeper manages to beat his half-volley away. Rooney's subsequent cross from the right goes straight out of play.
SHOT! Milner works the ball onto his left foot 20 yards out and sees a clipped effort flick off Medel and onto the roof of the net. Corner comes to nothing.
Yellow Card Jean Beausejour

Wilshere picks up the ball and manages to break forward but he is chopped down by Beausejour, who earns a yellow card.

SAVE! Good free kick from Lallana and Jones heads on target to force the goalkeeper into making a save. Claudio Bravo makes a meal of it and England win a corner.
Chile move the ball around nicely during the opening exchanges, before England steal possession and earn a free kick on the left wing.
The referee blows his whistle and Chile get the action underway, kicking from right to left.
The national anthems are over and we are moments away from kick-off.
Frank Lampard is leading the hosts out at Wembley as he prepares to make his 103rd appearance for England. The Chelsea veteran is being presented with a golden cap by his father Frank snr and 1966 World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst to mark his achievement of becoming England's latest centurion.
Meanwhile, Chile have named a relatively strong team with Barcelona striker Alexis Sanchez leading the line. Cardiff City's Gary Medel features in midfield and Wigan winger Jean Beausejour is also involved.
So, Hodgson makes the most of his chance to experiment and hands Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez their international debuts. The Three Lions boss also gives goalkeeper Fraser Forster his first chance between the sticks, as Joe Hart drops to the bench.

Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli could be without Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this evening, after he picked up a thigh injury during a 3-0 domestic victory over Napoli on Sunday.
Roy Hodgson's side are on an unbeaten run of 10 matches but have suffered a series of injury setbacks in the build-up to this match, with Steven Gerrard (hip) and Kyle Walker following Manchester United duo Michael Carrick (Achilles) and Danny Welbeck (knee) out of the squad.
England made sure of their ticket to Brazil with a 2-0 win over Poland last month, to edge out Ukraine by one point in Group H of the European qualifying process. Chile, meanwhile, finished third behind Argentina and Colombia in the South American standings.

This should be a close encounter, with just two places separating the sides in the FIFA World Rankings and both assured of a place at next year's World Cup.
