The on-loan Chelsea striker and Keisuke Honda earned Pippo Inzaghi's side a point that had looked most unlikely following early goals from Lorenzo Tonelli and Manuel Pucciarelli
The hosts were two goals up by the end of the opening quarter, with both Lorenzo Tonelli and Manuel Pucciarelli taking advantage of some dreadful Rossoneri set-piece defending to score.
However, Torres, in his first start since joining Milan from Chelsea, hauled Pippo Inzaghi's side back into the game with a brilliant header just before the break, and Keisuke Honda levelled matters just before the hour.
Milan could have went on to win the game, particularly after Mirko Valdifiori's late dismissal for a second-half strike, but the visitors were ultimately forced to settle for a point that had looked most unlikely after their shocking start.
