A very solid game from the goalkeeper, who helped his side earn a respectable point. He was always alert and made a great save from Pepe late in the second half.
A very solid game from the Argentine before succumbing to injury. His caution shouldn't overshadow what was a dominant, if quite physical, display, epitomised by a fantastic slide tackle to cut out Chiellini's pass to Vucinic.
Had an impressive opening spell to the match, including a great clearance from a dangerous Pepe cross. Gave away many fouls as the match wore on, however.
One of the two Chievo defenders to last the entire match. Did a solid if unconventional job of keeping the Juventus attack from offering much in his area of the pitch.
Unfortunate to have to leave the pitch inside 20 minutes due to injury. Made one poor challenge on Vidal just before coming off.
One of the more anonymous men on the pitch. Did an unspectacular but effective job, flooding the midfield and harassing Andrea Pirlo, stopping him from impressing his influence on the game.
A mixed game from the American. Did a solid job taking corners and free-kicks, but gave away far too many fouls and was duly booked. Needs more time to adjust to Italy tactically.
Another midfield workhorse who prevented Juve from playing as they wanted, especially in the first half. Yellow carded towards the end for a rash challenge.
Incredibly lively and one of Chievo's standout players. Worked tirelessly to press forward whenever his side had possession and illustrated individual flair whenever possible.
Notable for his fouls and poor passing with the exception of his booking, after nicking the ball from Pirlo in a great area.
Did everything he could to get Chievo on the scoresheet, but ultimately could not repeat his heroics from the same fixture last season. Could have had a penalty midway through the match after a challenge with Chiellini in the box.
Relatively uninvolved but more notable for his gaffes than saves. His 10th-minute spill could have been costly, and only Del Piero's goal-line clearance earned him a clean sheet.
A very assured defensive display. Often finds himself in the right places on set pieces but must learn to take his chances more cleanly.
Fits perfectly into the Conte system. The Swiss full-back was reliable both in attack and in defence, but could not provide the key to changing the game.
Like his partner Bonucci, he was typically rock-solid at the back and prevented the little that Chievo offered going forward from amounting to much.
An adept attacking display from the full-back, who often rushed forward in support of his team-mates, but could have given away a penalty in his clash with Pellissier.
As ever, the winger ran his heart out for the team, and contributed one great cross to Del Piero and a shot that Sorrentino had to quickly parry.
Rather poor display from the Serbian. His running cannot be questioned but he must develop his game beyond that to thrive at Juventus.
Ever-present in the Juventus midfield, the maestro was swarmed at times by Chievo and was not given as much time as he would have liked. With his pedigree, he should have done better on set pieces.
Put in a very lively shift for his side without ever truly taking control. His ferocious shot was one of the few bright spots in a dull first half.
A relatively mediocre display from the new signing. Was fouled often and did many of the little things right, but did not provide much inspiration.
Did well with the little service he received, but his reputation for single-handedly winning games was hardly bolstered today. Continues to disappoint in less glamorous fixtures.
- 17 C. Puggioni
- 5 D. Mandelli
Came on very early for the injured Sardo and did well to help his side maintain a clean sheet against one of the top sides in Italy this season.
- 25 K. Vacek
The new signing was lively in his 30-minute cameo, and could have won his side the game at the end after catching Lichtsteiner on the hand with the ball.
- 23 A. Paloschi
- 9 D. Moscardelli
- 30 M. Storari
- 11 P. De Ceglie
A late substitute who did little of note.
- 5 M. Pazienza
Had one decent shot but the substitute had to come off himself due to injury.
A. Del Piero
Made an immediate impact. His header off the post nearly decided the game in Juve's favour, while his clearance off the line proved crucial as well.
