With the second leg in Italy still to come, this tie already looks done and dusted after an effective display from Juventus. Celtic had considerably more shots on goal and looked the better side for long periods, but they didn't take their chances and Juventus were absolutely clinical with their own. Thank you for joining me, Ryan Benson, tonight. Make sure you're back with Goal.com tomorrow night for the big one; Real Madrid vs Manchester United.
90' + 3'
Referee Undiano Mallenco blows the full-time whistle and Juventus claim a 3-0 win at Celtic Park ahead of the second leg in Turin a few weeks from now.
90' + 2'
Stoppage time is almost up. The final ten minutes of this match have lasted an eternity, with both sides knowing the match is won and lost.
Juventus attacking down the left with Anelka now. The Frenchman gets away from Matthews and cuts the ball back towards the edge of the penalty area, but his pass is just behind Vucinic and Celtic have possession again.
Yellow Card Claudio Marchisio
Mulgrew's effort resembles an audacious shot as it sails straight through to Buffon, but he was probably hoping his teammates would make runs in the danger area. They didn't.
Celtic win themselves a free kick in a good area. Mulgrew stands over it. Last chance for a consolation?
This game has slowed incredibly in the last few minutes. There is now very little hope for Celtic and they know it.
Assist Claudio Marchisio
Goal Mirko Vučinić
GOAL!!! Juventus have themselves a third goal and can begin preparing for the quarter-finals. Efe Ambrose was caught in possession just outside his own area and Marchisio played in Vucinic who slid the ball past Forster.
That goal appears to be massive in the grand scheme of this tie. Two Juventus away goals has this almost in the bag for the Serie A side.
Assist Alessandro Matri
Goal Claudio Marchisio
GOAL!!! Juventus double their lead at Celtic Park! Celtic have been by far the better team in the second half, but a great move silences their fans. Pirlo plays the ball forward and Matri flicks it on for Marchisio, who cuts inside Matthews and finishes past Forster.
Yellow Card Scott Brown
Yellow Card Simone Padoin
More histrionics at a Celtic corner as Brown gets close and personal with Padoin. Out comes the yellow card again. Seconds later, Buffon catches another corner.
A Matthews throw-in threatens danger, but Juventus clear and look to catch the hosts on the counterattack. Vidal bursts away from the area and slides a pass through for Vucinic, but Wilson gets across very quickly and sweeps up.
A second successive corner is won by Celtic, but this effort is not much better as Buffon plucks it out of the air like fruit from a tree.
Neither player is punished further by the referee and the resulting corner is pretty dreadful.
While we wait for the corner to be taken, Peluso has gone off injured with Padoin replacing him, and Brown has clashed with Lichtsteiner.
Celtic win a corner out of very little as Matthews' throw-in is headed behind and Vidal can't keep it in.
Important block by Wilson! Marchisio produces a lovely backheel to play Peluso in down the left. Peluso cuts the ball back to Vucinic on the edge of the area, but Wilson gets in the way of his shot.
The Old Lady earn themselves a moment of respite as Peluso goes down rather easily under the pressure of Brown.
What a chance! Commons plays the ball back towards the halfway line. Mulgrew lofts the ball into the area and the unmarked Ambrose gets a header on target, but his effort bounces up off the floor and into Buffon's hands.
Mulgrew and Izaguirre combine well down the left and the former wins Celtic a corner, their first of the second half.
Juventus string together a decent number of passes in the Celtic half before Lichtsteiner crosses for Matri. The forward almost got on the end of it, but it goes out towards the far flank. Eventually the assistant flags Matri offside.
Pause in play at the moment as Matthews comes on for the injured Lustig. That is a big blow for Celtic as the right-back has had a very good evening.
Celtic fans and players yelling for a penalty again. Lustig crosses excellently, but Barzagli appears to bring down Hooper in the area. Nothing given.
Celtic are continuing to encourage, but Brown searches for Lustig on the right and puts the ball straight out of play. Poor.
Good play by Izaguirre as the Honduran left-back picks the ball up in the centre of Juventus' half, jinks past one tackle before being felled by another. It looked like a foul, but the referee, Undiano Mallenco, ushers play on. Celtic are not impressed.
Mulgrew takes possession in a good area and proceeds to advance on the Juventus defence. He looks to play a one-two with Commons, but Bonucci intercepts.
The Bhoys' passing has been pretty poor so far in this second half, giving the ball away needlessly on several occasions already.
Izaguirre wins a free kick after a clash with Lichtsteiner and Mulgrew delivers from deep. However, the ball flicks off a Celitc player and goes out for a goal kick.
The hosts waste no time in getting the ball into the Juve area, but Lustig's cross goes straight into the hands of Buffon.
Celtic start the second half in Glasgow.
Juventus took an early lead with their first chance of the match and that suggested it would be a long evening for Celtic, but ever since it has been the hosts who have looked more like scoring. However, whenever Lennon's side have got into the danger area, their finishing has not been good enough. Nevertheless, this match is far from over, but Juventus have the away goal they would have targeted.
45' + 1'
Commons rushes a cross into the area from the right, but after Juventus boot it away the referee blows for half-time.
Pirlo takes the corner short to Vucinic. The forward picks out Vidal on the edge of the area with an inch-perfect pass, but the former Bayer Leverkusen man's shot is blocked.
Juventus are the ones who win a corner this time, much to the annoyance of Celtic. Lustig tried to let the ball go out of play, but he appeared to get a touch on it.
Yellow Card James Forrest
Lustig's crossing has been a good route into the Juve area so far and Hooper meets the latest delivery with his head. However, under the pressure of Barzagli, the header flies well over.
Commons registers what was probably his 19th effort of the first half as he spins away from Barzagli, but again Buffon collects it with ease.
Commons delivers a good corner and Ambrose meets it with a header, but his effort goes over. Hooper is left on the floor yet again by Lichtsteiner. Wouldn't be a surprise to see one of those two, if not both, sent off by the end of this match.
Yellow Card Gary Hooper
Yellow Card Stephan Lichtsteiner
Celtic get themselves another corner and fisticuffs ensue between Hooper and Lichtsteiner again. Both players are booked, but the pushing continues.
Juventus are being forced into mistakes a great deal at the moment. Buffon continues to play the ball short, but Celtic are pressing so high that there is always a green and white shirt nearby. Lennon's team look like the only one threatening to score.
Celtic players, fans and coaching staff all visibly annoyed by the officials there as an offside decision is given against Juventus when the hosts have the ball.
Play is back underway at Celtic Park.
We are having a pause in play currently following a clash between Vidal and Wanyama leaves the Chilean on the floor. He does appear to be okay, however.
Excellent effort by Commons! Lustig puts in a pin-point cross from the right and the former Derby man sees his effort go just wide of the far post with an overhead kick.
Juve's corner is a tame effort and comes to nothing. Celtic immediately make for the visitors' half.
Brown is at it again, but this time Pirlo bursts away from the Scotland international, leaving him on the floor. He exchanges passes with Lichtsteiner before producing a lovely ball through to Vucinic who beats Forster, but is forced out wide. He settles for a corner.
Meanwhile, Pirlo and Brown clashed again off the ball. The referee has a word with the duo, but doesn't show a yellow card to anyone.
Celtic have a good opportunity as they break on Juventus from midfield. However Wanyama surges forward and fizzes a shot well wide of the target. Several of his teammates give him an earful.
Brown is all over Pirlo and pressures him out of possession. The Italy star looks rattled by that exchange, which is good news for the home side.
Bonucci does well to glide away from Hooper just outside his own area before picking out Matri with a 40-yard pass. The forward played a one-two with Vucinic and almost slipped a final pass through to the Montenegrin, but Ambrose cuts it out well.
Brown feels Celtic should have another corner as he battles Martin Caceres for the ball. The Uruguayan may have touched the ball while shielding it out of play, but the referee gives a goal kick.
Commons delivers the corner which is flapped at by Buffon. Brown gets a shot away moments later, but it is blocked before it gets to the Juve goalkeeper.
Hooper wins the hosts a corner after tussling with Caceres down the right-hand side. Lennon will be encouraged.
Back come the hosts. Izaquirre is looking a dangerous outlet on the left and he crosses well again, but Commons' strike goes well over as he slips over while arriving into the area late.
Celtic are giving possession away too easily at times. Wanyama is caught on the ball and Marchisio chips the ball through to Matri. The forward tries to get away from Ambrose and Lustig, but the defenders steal the ball back.
The opening 10 minutes have been very end-to-end and Celtic are certainly creating chances. This time Izaguirre's cross is poorly hacked away by Barzagli and Commons hits it first time on the edge of the area. However, Buffon gets down to make the save.
Juventus go close again! Peluso delivers a great cross from the left and it finds its way through to Vucinic at the far post, but the forward's effort goes high and wide.
Celtic are straight back on the front foot following that Juventus goal and after the visitors do a poor job of clearing the ball, Wanyama gets another shot in on goal, but again Buffon saves.
Assist Federico Peluso
Goal Alessandro Matri
GOAL!!! Juventus have the lead in Glasgow! In their first attack, Peluso plays the ball long towards Matri. The ball loops over Ambrose and the Italian striker pokes the ball between Forster's legs and the ball crosses the line. Wilson did his best to clear the ball from the line, but replays show it had already gone in. Marchisio was on hand to blast the ball in nonetheless.
The corner doesn't come to much, but Celtic were appealing for a penalty for Lichtsteiner's handling of Hooper.
There is the first shot of the match as Victor Wanyama tries his luck from 30-odd yards, but Buffon palms it behind for a corner.
Here we go as Juventus begin the match.
The omens are encouraging for Celtic tonight. Neil Lennon's side have only lost two of their last 23 home matches in the Champions League. Both defeats came against Barcelona.
England manager Roy Hodgson is in attendance tonight at Celtic Park. Could Fraser Forster and/or Gary Hooper be nearing calls-up?
