Made several reasonable saves to keep the scoreline humble, doing particularly well to deny several attempts from Inter's second half substitute Belfodil. Certainly not the hosts' worst man on the field.
Turned into walking wounded near the end, but the Italian made a couple of strong challenges and good blocks to hold his defensive line together.
Offered an occasional option going forward, but struggled a little defensively. Jonathan and Ricky enjoyed themselves on the right flank, and this joy was partly down to the Catania man being overrun.
A few well-timed challenges were the highlights of Spolli's game, but the Argentine also picked up a card for a customary poor one. Did well to deny Jonathan several opportunities after the Brazilian cut inside.
Not the most solid display, as the right-back struggled to deal with the overlapping Nagatomo, and his set piece delivery was awful throughout.
Enjoyed more success on the right hand side of midfield late in the game, delivering two good crosses to the back post. In the first half, Castro really struggled to impose himself.
Brutish in the centre of midfield, and did offer a bite which Catania required. Had several wayward shots however, and failed to offer anything offensively.
Great in the first half, seeing plenty of the ball and giving Nagatomo a few early problems, as well as having two early chances for his toothless side. After switching to the left, he vanished.
Was unfortunate to go off injured, and despite not having many chances himself, the Catania forward line tailed off horrendously in performance once the Argentine had been substituted.
Had one incredibly good first half effort, as his left-footed strike had Handanovic scrambling for his bottom corner. Aside from this, the Grecian did the fundamentals adequately.
Solid performance, the Slovenian made a number of reasonable stops, the best of which being a save with his legs to deny Leto.
Strong in the air and made a few vital interceptions and well-timed challenges. A reliable performance from the Italian, which is a high compliment.
Another solid performance from the Argentine, who is bringing plenty to the table for his new club. Strong in the air and adequate on the floor, Campagnaro is proving to be a shrewd signing.
No mistakes tonight from the young Brazilian, and dealt well with a few of Catania's players who tried dramatics to try to get him in the book.
Similarly to Jonathan, he offered endless running and his will to get forward resulted in another goal for the Japanese wing-back, again with his head.
Offered plenty of support offensively, offering width and willing running. Grabbed an assist for Palacio's opener, and kept Catania's left hand side quiet for the entire game. Great performance.
Poor performance from the Croatian, who was given the nod over Kuzmanovic. Failed to unlock Catania's defence, which was presumably why he was picked, and was therefore replaced for a more battling midfielder.
Not the all action performance of last week, but the Colombian's strength and power helped to keep Inter's midfield on top throughout. Solid performance.
Yet to have a stand out performance, but Cambiasso's calm and composed passing helped to keep Inter steady when Catania had a couple of strong spells.
Well taken first goal for the Argentine, who in all honesty would have found it harder to miss than score. His endless and tireless running was key for Inter, working Legrottaglie and Spolli to the point of collapse.
Made a couple of poor tackles and struggled against the overlapping Nagatomo as Alvarez did. Allowed for Nagatomo to ghost in and turn home the second too.
Offered extremely little after replacing Izco in the first half, making his side absolutely toothless. Forced players out of position to make way for him, which was certainly to the detriment of the side.
Had one good chance to grab a consolation goal, rising well at the back post to try and turn home an Alvarez cross, but ended up getting it all wrong. Full of running, but little else.
