Dortmund are throwing themselves forward as much as they can to try and find the winner. The visitors are holding on though.

Dusseldorf hit the home side on the counter! Reisinger finds himself in miles of space and dashes forward. He then hits his shot well wide but he could have taken it much closer to goal.

Paurevic is sent off for a second bookable offense. He was perhaps a little naive and should not have made the challenge that got him sent off.
Dani Schahin gets forward with the ball for Dusseldorf but ends up committing a foul which stops the attack.
What a miss!!! Dortmund on the attack and a cross comes in from the right. Grosskreutz stretches out and latches onto the cross just a few yards away from goal but he somehow smashes it well over the bar!
Dortmund have responded well to the goal and are settling down. They will try to pass it around well and find a late goal as they did with the first goal.

Goal for Dusseldorf!!! Great build up play down the right, the ball is hit into the home teams area and Reisinger smashes a precise header into the back of the net!
Balogun hits a shot from far out but it is a wild strike that goes high and wide.

Chance for Dortmund! Blaszczykowski finds himself inside the away sides penalty area. He sees Reus in space and switches it to him but the Dortmund forward curls his shot harmlessly wide.
Dusseldorf make some good passes down the left flank and look dangerous. Bellinghausen puts a little too much on his pass to Van den Bergh though and Dortmund snatch the ball back.
Subotic gets the first booking of the match after a bad tackle. The play resumes after Dusseldorf get their physio on to check on their player.

The ball is hoofed up field by Dortmund for Lewandowski to control. He gets a head onto the ball but it gently rolls to the Dusseldorf goalkeeper.
Reisinger nearly gets another good chance to score. The ball is hurled into the Dortmund box and nodded into Reisinger's path. Weidenfeller just about beats him to the ball and grabs it after initially making a hash of the save.
Great chance wasted for Dusseldorf!!! They break into the Dortmund box, Weidenfeller comes out but fails to collect and the ball falls to Reisinger who has almost an open goal. He blasts a shot towards the goal but it is then blocked by his own player! Foward Ilso hangs his head in shame after he stopped his team-mate from scoring.
Dusseldorf's midfield are dropping very deep and are allowing Dortmund's full-backs to make constant overlapping runs without being punished.
Corner to Dortmund. The ball is put directly into the box but nobody can take advantage and Giefer finds the ball safely in his arms.
Reisinger starts to work his way deep into the Dortmund half. The winger gets into a promising position but then finds himself isolated as he has no team-mates in support. Two Dortmund defenders close him down and get the ball clear.
So close for Dortmund! Blaszczykowski gets the ball down the right-hand side and puts a deep cross into the box. The ball curves towards goal and Giefer is forced into making a save to stop the cross from landing in his net.

Half-time here in Dortmund. The home side have been mostly in control of the game with Dusseldorf clearly sitting back and waiting to hit Dortmund on the counter-attack. Dortmund deserve to be ahead through Blaszczykowski's great finish and the visitors will have to get more of the ball if they want to get back into this one. GREAT GOAL! Dortmund are one up! It breaks down the right hand side for the home side the ball is hit into the box. Blaszczykowski heads to Grosskreutz who nods the ball back to him, then Blaszczykowski fires the ball acrobatically over Giefer to give his side the lead!
Bellinghausen trying to threaten again down the left-hand side with a pacey run. He brings the ball away from one defender but then ends up heading too close to another and the attack breaks down.
Reus gets fantastic chance to put his side ahead! He finds himself just inside the box with the ball bouncing just in front of him but he slips as he takes his shot and it harmlessly falls into the 'keepers arms.
After some good one-touch play Dortmund break into the Dusseldorf area. Reus hits a hard shot towards the near post and Giefer makes a good save to tip it wide.
Reisinger makes an encouraging run down the right hand side for visitors but fails to cause much danger as Subotic makes a good tackle.
Dortmund win the ball in the centre of the park and start to break forward before Dusseldorf bring Reus down. They take the resulting free-kick but make nothing of it.
Shot by Reus deflected wide after some good build play from Dortmund.
Dortmund corner swung in by Reus, the cross is headed towards goal but not with enough venom to beat the goalkeeper.
Bellinghausen makes a great run down the left-hand side for the visitors and causes a lot of problems for the Dortmund defence. His final ball fails to find a team-mate though.
Lewandowski latches onto a clever flick-on from Reus in the opposition penalty area. The assistant referee flags for offside against Lewandowski and Dusseldorf restart the play.
Dortmund are patiently passing the ball around and waiting to find a weak spot in the Dusseldorf defence. So far the visitors have done well at the back.
Grosskreutz heads towards goal after a good cross from Lewandowski. He does not make great contact with his header though and the 'keeper eventually gets the ball to safety.
Great work from Reisinger down the right hand side for Dusseldorf. He finds himself in space to cross but can't find anyone in the home side's area.
Grosskreutz crosses the ball into the Dusseldorf area, the ball bounces between a few defenders before they make it safe.
Van den Bergh lofts a ball forward into the Dortmund area but Subotic easily heads the ball clear.
Dortmund are still passing it around nicely but are not getting the penetration they need to break into the visitor's penalty area.
Free-kick to Dortmund in a promising position. Schmelzer hits it well over the bar.
Dusseldorf are struggling to get much of the ball as the home side are dominating the possession with some nice short passes.
Reus makes a good run forward and puts a fantastic pass into the box for Lewandowski to latch onto but he fails to find anyone with his cross.
Dortmund are passing the ball around well. The home side have threaded a few through balls down the left hand side but Dusseldorf have cut out the danger well.

Robbie Kruse thinks he has made a great run forward to catch Dortmund off-guard. However, the linesman flags for offside against him and the ball is back with the home side.

Tonight's game will be Borussia Dortmund's third match inside six days but Jurgen Klopp's side have coped well with the fixture list so far and have won their last four games.
