Thanks for following Goal.com's LIVE commentary of Blackburn vs. Millwall. I've been Ben Cullimore, and I hope to see you again next time!
In the end, Millwall were the more consistent of the two sides and will be proud with the effort that they put in from start to finish. Blackburn, on the other hand, will kick themselves and be well aware that their erratic passing has cost them a trip to Wembley.
Blackburn attacked constantly and had so many opportunities to score but just couldn't convert any of their chances at the vital moments. Millwall defended brilliantly and the centre-half combination of Shittu and Beevers was arguably what won the game for them in the end.
FULL-TIME: Blackburn 0-1 Millwall. The Lions progress to the semi-finals to face Wigan at Wembley!
90' + 2'
Taylor has the perfect opportunity to wrap up the win for Millwall with only Kean to beat in front of goal but he skies his side-footed into the stands.
90' + 1'
Blackburn send everyone forward for one last attack, but Millwall push every available body back and defend as strongly as ever.
Three minutes of stoppage time will be played.
Blackburn embark on an attacking movement that seems to last forever and only ends when Dunn's long-range effort is scuffed out for a goal kick. Plenty of pressure, but the home side just couldn't complete any of their chances.
Best has the opportunity to cross from the left hand side of the Millwall box but he decides to shoot instead. Unfortunately for him, his effort clears the crossbar by quite some distance.
Hulse has a great opportunity to double Millwall's lead and surely wrap the win up when he finds himself with the ball mere feet away from the goal, but Hanley is able to stick a foot in and steal the ball off the striker at the last moment.
Dann attempts to cross in to the Millwall penalty area but his ball ends up going not far wide of Forde's post. It didn't look intentional but, as the game gets ever nearer to to its end and desperation creeps in, you never quite know...
Pedersen sends a lofted ball forward and almost unleashes one of the many Blackburn players who have pushed up the field in an attempt to find an equaliser but Shittu, as always, is on hand to clear the danger.
Moans and groans ring out around the home fans' section yet again as another wayward pass ends up in the hands of Forde, allowing Millwall the chance to regroup and keep possession.
Yellow Card Mark Beevers
Blackburn break away on a promising attack but Nuno Gomes' pass towards Forrester on the right wing trickles out for a Millwall goal kick.
Blackburn continue to create the most attacking chances but their passes constantly fail them in the final third. Millwall are looking comfortable holding back and absorbing the home side's pressure.
Another long ball is sent deep into Millwall's half but Shittu deals with it with a rugby-esque volleyed clearance back into Blackburn's territory.
Possession is 50-50 as we enter the final 20 minutes of the game.
Millwall comfortably play the ball around the edge of the Blackburn area before Martin Olsson finally wins it back. The away side seem happy to just keep possession at this stage of the game.
King theatrically goes down in the Millwall penalty area and cries for a penalty, but Mike Clattenburg replies with a look of bewilderment and nothing more. To be fair to him, it looked like an Oscar-winning dive...
Great chance for Blackburn! Best ploughs his way into the Millwall box and fires towards goal. His shot beats Forde but doesn't beat the outstretched limb of defender Lowry on the goal line.
Blackburn keep piling the pressure on the Millwall defence as best they can but the visitors, especially Shittu, deal with it admirably.
Yellow Card Andy Keogh
Martin Olsson dashes towards the Millwall penalty area but is stopped in his tracks by a Keogh foul, for which the Irishman is penalised with a yellow card.
Pedersen tries to out-do Hanley with a horizontal lofted pass that doesn't go anywhere near anyone, apart from the ball boy on the halfway line. The home fans are tired of what they've been watching and groans of discontent ring out around Ewood Park.
Hanley unleashes the worst pass of the game which started deep into his own half and ended deep into the Millwall half, going out for a throw-in whilst missing every single one of his teammates. Woeful.
Scott Dann tries to initiate another Blackburn attack but, as was the case so often in the first half, his pass goes completely astray and ends up with Forde. The home side desperately need to improve their passing if they are going to have any hope of finding a way back into this game.
Martin Olsson whips in a cross from the left wing but, yet again, Forde collects comfortably.
Millwall's Dunne collapses to the floor holding his face after a clash with Nuno Gomes near the halfway line. The free kick goes Blackburn's way though.
The first chance of the half falls to Blackburn after Lowe's attempted cross is deflected out for a corner. Pedersen sends the ball into the Millwall box and it, eventually, falls to King who skies his attempted shot high into the air and into the safe hands of David Forde.
And we're off again! Will the second half bring us a Blackburn comeback, or will Millwall put this game to bed?
The players are back on the pitch and one change has been made: Nuno Gomes comes on for Marcus Olsson for Blackburn.
Here are Ryan Benson's thoughts on the first-half action: "It is half-time at Ewood Park and Millwall take a slender 1-0 lead into the break. Blackburn looked the better side early on, but as the match went on, the visitors grew in confidence. A speculative strike from Chris Taylor went just wide, while Dany N'Guessan had claims for a penalty turned down. However, they eventually took the lead through Danny Shittu, and they probably just about deserve it. If the hosts want anything from this, they will need to improve their passing to the forwards players as it was utterly dreadful in the first period."
Both sides can be happy with their defensive play, but both will be well aware that they need to create far more in the final third when the second half resumes.
The half-time whistle goes and the atmosphere inside Ewood Park has definitely soured over the last 45 minutes. The home fans, once full of excitement at the attacking dominance that they were seeing from their side, have now seen their hopes of a Wembley semi-final clash with Wigan start to fade away thanks to a rocket header from Shittu.
Yellow Card David Dunn
Millwall players are livid at Mark Clattenburg as the referee only awards David Dunn a yellow card after he dives in and takes out Shittu on the edge of Millwall's penalty area.
Yellow Card Danny Shittu
Assist Chris Taylor
Goal Danny Shittu
GOAL! The resulting corner finds the head of Shittu and the big man powers the ball into the back of the net. 1-0 to Millwall!
Danger in the Blackburn box as Millwall come close to opening the scoring. N'Guessan fires into Lowe at close range and the ball hits his arm, but Clattenburg waves away the appeals for a penalty by saying that Lowe was too close to the Frenchman. Taylor then finds the ball at his feet and unleashes an almighty shot, but it takes a deflection and hits the side-netting.
Young Norwegian Josh King comes close to opening the scoring for the home side but his shot from the edge of the penalty area lifts just over the crossbar. However, it looks as if goalkeeper Forde had it covered.
Overall, it's not been the most exciting of halves, as our man Ryan Benson explains: "We have had just over 30 minutes so far at Ewood Park, and although Blackburn are generally dominating possession, shots on goal have been rare. The best chances of the half have fallen to Leon Best and Chris Taylor, but both strikes were from range and neither caused either goalkeeper too much trouble. The quality of play has been quite poor so far in truth."
Both sides have been struggling with their passing in the opening half, with Blackburn having a pass-completion rate of only 57% and Millwall with a measly 54%.
Millwall try and carve out another attacking chance but, as they have been for the majority of these first 35 minutes, the Blackburn defence hold firm and deny them any way through.
Marcus Olsson embarks on a run down the left flank and sends a high cross into the Millwall box, but Forde collects the ball confidently.
Confrontation between Martin Olsson and Alan Dunne after the latter goes to the ground, claiming to be fouled by the Swede, who reacts angrily after replays clearly show that no contact at all was made.
Taylor shoots from a similar position to his attempt on goal a few minutes ago, but, similarly, it flies out of play for another Blackburn goal kick.
The man-mountain in the Millwall defence, Danny Shittu, has been a rock so far, constantly keeping the ever-present threat of Jordan Rhodes at bay.
Taylor is left in acres of space on the edge of the Blackburn penalty area and fires towards the far post but Kean is able to watch the ball go just wide.
Things have become slightly heated since N'Guessan's penalty shout, with a few bad tackles coming from both sides. But, so far, Mark Clattenburg hasn't shown a card.
N'Guessan finds himself on the receiving end again moments later, this time a rash challenge from Lowe. Millwall are awarded a free kick near the halfway line, but it comes to nothing.
Shouts for a Millwall penalty as N'Guessan is bundled over as he goes up for a header, but referee Mark Clattenburg waves play on.
Pedersen plays the corner to Dunn on the edge of the Millwall penalty area and the veteran midfielder's curling shot almost finds itself hitting the back of the net, but it flies just wide of the far post.
Best has another good try on goal from outside the box and his shot deflects out of play for a corner.
Replays show that, in fact, he wasn't offside, but, in fairness to Blackburn, the whistle went as soon as he received the ball and it was a delayed shot on goal past a stationary Kean in the Blackburn goalmouth.
The ball hits the back of the Blackburn net, but Hulse is flagged for offside.
The home side have been firing a multitude of long balls forward in the early moments of this game, and another one almost finds Rhodes up front but the Millwall defence are able to deal with the danger and send the ball back into the Blackburn half.
After a short period on the floor, Taylor is seemingly OK to carry on and gets back on his feet.
Great player down the right flank by Millwall and Dunne whips in a great cross into the heart of the Blackburn penalty area. Taylor jumps for the ball but is only able to make contact with teammate N'Guessan, sending him tumbling to the ground.
Ewood Park is sparsely filled but the atmosphere is electric as the home fans sense that they have the advantage in the opening moments.
Best forces Forde into his first save of the game as he fires low from 25 yards out. The Millwall goalkeeper dives to his right and saves comfortably though.
Strong start from Blackburn. Good work between King and Best unleashes Rhodes in the Millwall penalty area but the Scotsman is marginally offside.
And we're off!
The teams are out on the pitch and shaking hands. Expect the niceties to end as soon as the whistle goes and play starts though, as both sides are visibly hungry for a semi-final trip to Wembley.
Blackburn are one of only two teams (the other being Man City) who have yet to concede a goal in the FA Cup this season. However, Millwall have an impressive record this season too, as they have only conceded one goal, whilst scoring six.
Meanwhile, Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has named the same starting 11 as he did on the weekend: Forde, Dunne, Beevers, Shittu, Lowry, N'Guessan, Trotter, Smith, Taylor, Keogh, Hulse
First, here's how Blackburn line up: Kean, Lowe, Dann, Hanley, Martin Olsson, King, Pedersen, Dunn, Marcus Olsson, Best, Rhodes
Premier League side Wigan await the winners of tonight's tie in the semi-final at Wembley. After a goalless draw at the New Den on Sunday, let's hope that this evening brings us plenty of entertainment and plenty of goals.
Good evening, and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE commentary of tonight's FA Cup sixth-round replay between Blackburn Rovers and Millwall. I'm Ben Cullimore and I'll be keeping you up-to-date with all of the action from Ewood Park.
