D. Alaba 19', 51'
B. Schweinsteiger 32'
M. Gómez 63'
So that's it from the Allianz Arena. Two goals from David Alaba and further efforts from Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gomez have given the runaway leader the easiest of victories as they build even further on their unassailable lead. Make sure to stick with goal for reports, ratings and reaction to tonight's fixture. Until next time, I've been Harry Slavin, thanks for joining me and good night!
As for Bayern, they are now 15 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and they can probably start ordering in some silver polish for the League presentation. A fantastic display from the home side as they tore apart a fellow Champions League outfit. It's no wonder that bookies are only putting them behind Barcelona now for Europe's biggest prize.
FT BAYERN 4-0 SCHALKE. There were barely seven seconds of added time as the referee brings Die Knappen's torment to an end. Jermaine Jones cuts a forlorn figure as he tries to grasp what just happened. A performance that he and his teammates will want to put behind them very quickly.
To be fair to the visitors they've not given up. Tranquillo Barnetta is still trying to force a chance but he is stopped by a number of red bodies diving in front of him.
One last chance for Schalke to try and get some sort of consolation from this game. A free kick is swung into the centre but despite the amount of white shirts in the box, none of them get near it.
Robben swings in the umpteenth corner for the hosts and it drops at the feet of Gomez but he can't readjust his feet to get his shot away before Christoph Metzelder clears.
Even with the injuries they have, you have to feel a Schalke side with this starting XI are better than a 4-0 thumping. They really have offered very little, especially when you consider they are still competing in this season's Champions League!
Gomez gets on the end of Alaba's tremendous long ball and is brought down by Jones. He went down a little theatrically but he gets the decision anyway.
Gomez has the ball in the net again but he's flagged for offside as he puts away the rebound from Robben's parried effort.
Not a debut to remember for Pukki as he is replaced by Edu. The youngster had to endure a torrid time up front in the lone-striker role.
Bayern are finding it all too easy to hold onto possession here. Even when they do lose the ball going forward, Schalke's only option is to hoof it back to their defence. A lot of work to be done by Jens Keller ahead of their next fixture.
Schalke also made a change that went under my radar in the midst of Bayern's wholesale changes. The largely frustrating Michel Bastos is off and Jefferson Farfan is on.
Bastian Scweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Franck Ribery are the players to make way for Bayern. Gustavo, Rafinha and Diego Contento come on for the final quarter.
Jefferson Agustin Farfán
Jupp Heynckes is getting a triple substitution ready for Bayern. He's more than happy that the points are safe now.
Bayern have already amassed more points this season than the side that finished sixth last season. Schalke held that position coming into today's game. They'll be eighth by the final whistle this evening.
Die Roten are still coming forward here. I don't think they're quite done for this evening just yet. Lahm bursts down the right but his cross is too close to Hildebrand.
GOOOALLL!!!! GOMEZ GETS ON THE SCORESHEET!!! This is getting a little embarrassing now. A simple lofted ball into the area catches the Schalke defence out and Robben takes the ball down and unselfishly tees up Mario Gomez to thump into an empty net.
Michel Bastos has just infuriated his teammates and fans. The Brazilain breaks well, showing a lovely touch to get away from Alaba and create a three-on-two chance for his side, however the former Lyon man plays the poorest of balls that is miles behind Jermaine Jones and the chance is gone.
Another chance for Gomez but again he can't take it. A raking cross-field ball finds Kroos who puts the ball across goal first time to the forward but his first touch takes the ball away from him and Michel is back to recover the situation for Schalke.
Yellow CardMarco Höger
First booking of the evening as Marco Hoger has his name taken for a foul on Ribery.
It really should be four. The home side break and Arjen Robben is played clean through the middle with not an opponent in sight. He tries to lob Hildebrand though and the ball drifts just over the crossbar.
Well if there was an element of doubt, its safe to say their isn't any more. Alaba's goal has put a rubber stamp on the result and its now a case of how many Bayern will get you fear.
GOOALLL!!! 3-0 FOR BAYERN!!! Well that din't take long. Robben ghosts into the box and puts the ball across goal where Gomez, possible offside, prods it back into the path of Alaba who strikes home his second of the game.
Mario Gomez has yet to make the most of his rare start up front for Bayern. Mario Mandzukic wont feel to threatens by the German's performance so far.
Bayern get us underway for the second half, looking to strengthen their commanding position further this half.
The teams are back out on the pitch and the second half is about to commence. No changes for either team at the break.
Can you see any way back for Schalke? and does a win tonight coupled with earlier results put Bayern out of sight at the top of the table? Let me know your thoughts and join in the debates by tweeting me using @harryslavin.
So Bayern have been rampant so far this evening. Already it looks like damage limitation for Jens Keller's men as they look to avoid a hammering. Things don't look promising so far though.
HALFTIME BAYERN 2-0 SCHALKE. No stoppage time and so that will do it for the first half. It's been an extremely one sided affair and I can't see anyway back for Schalke in this match. I can't see a way back for Bayern's championship rivals at this rate either. Utterly dominant.
Mario Gomez rises to meet yet another corner but he heads over the bar this time. Chances in abundance for the hosts at the moment.
Another corner for Bayern and once again it isn't cleared properly, this time falling to Kroos on the edge who pops wide on this occasion.
Robben has the ball at his feet in the box but loses his footing at the vital moment and the chance disappears as the Dutch winger glares at his boots.
Marco Hoger gets Schalke's first meaningful shot away but Neuer gets down to the shot easily. The visitors need a lot more than that.
Oh dear. Michel Bastos, what on earth was that? The Brazilian lines up a free kick Roberto Carlos Style but his end product is more reminiscent of Johnny Wilkinson as it sails high into the crowd. Hideous attempt on goal.
Things are looking very easy for the hosts at the moment. Their fans are in full voice just now.
Gomez goes down in the box but the free kick is given against him as he tussled with Joel Matip.
GOAALLL!!! BEAUTIFUL EFFORT FROM SCHWEINSTEIGER!!! The midfielder steps up and curls a wonderful free kick over the wall and in of the post. Unstoppable.
Robben is tripped by Kolasinac on the edge of the area. There will be a few players in the Die Roten line up who will fancy a crack at this...
Gomez challenges for another ball as Toni Kroos swings in a free kick but he nods wide again despite beating Hildebrand to the ball.
Ribery cracks a shot in from a ludicrously tight angle but Hildebrand still has to knock it behind. The delivery from the corner is good but Gomez can only head wide.
I think Bayern have cottoned on to the fact that Schalke have enjoyed a little more possession and they don't like it. They've just embarked on a 3 minute period of play where their opponents didn't get near the ball.
Schalke have seen a bit more of the ball since going behind but are still struggling to find Pukki up front. A frustrating debut for the striker so far.
That really was a soft way to concede. Ribery had burst into the box at pace but Hoger was never going to get near the ball. Uphill from the visitors from here you have to feel.
Penalty GoalDavid Alaba
GOAL!!! BAYERN TAKE THE LEAD!! David Alaba makes no mistake from the spot, sending Hildebrand the wrong way.
PENALTY FOR BAYERN! Ribery dances into the box and is brought down by a clumsy tackle from Marco Hoger.
Oh Robben! The Dutch international has a free header in the box but he cannot get enough on it to hit the target. Best chance so far.
Bayern force another corner but Jens Keller's side are standing firm for now. Schalke even threaten to break with Bastos once more but his through ball is too hard for Teemu Pukki to reach.
The visitors are sitting very deep and are inviting pressure on themselves. Not a wise move when you've got some of the League's most dangerous attacking threats playing against you?
Bayern to get a corner after Matip heads behind. The ball breaks for Ribery on the edge and drives the ball goalwards but blocked by a sea of Schalke bodies.
Up the other end Franck Ribery unleashes a thumping drive from a tight angle that Hildebrand has to fumble behind. Unbelievably though the corner isn't given.
That's not very Bayern-like. David Alaba and Toni Kroos get in each others way on half way and the ball breaks for Schalke who play the ball wide for Michel Bastos but his effort is into the side netting. An early warning for the hosts.
First effort on goal comes from Dante as he rises to meet Arjen Robben's corner but it's easily held by Timo Hildebrand. There was no power behind it in truth.
It's not exactly warm in Germany this weekend and there are a few pairs of gloves on the park, including Jermaine Jones who is sporting the ever popular short sleeves and gloves look.
Early stages in Munich but already the hosts look dangerous. Robben and Ribery have both picked up the ball already and driven at the Schalke defence. I'm not sure they'll be able to cope with it all game.
A number of changes in both line ups then. Bayern's changes look to be through choice. Unfortunately for Schalke coach Jens Keller his are down to a horrendous injury list.
We are underway at the Allianz!
The players are in the tunnel and we are not long from kick off. There have been a number of cracking fixtures in Germany's top division this weekend. Let's see if this game can keep the trend going.
SCHALKE: (4-2-3-1) Hildebrand; Kolasinac, Howedes, Metzelder, Matip; Jones, Neustadter; Barnetta, Hoger, Bastos; Pukki. SUBS Unnerstall, Pliatsikas, Raffael, Draxler, Meyer, Edu, Farfan.
BAYERN: (4-2-3-1) Neuer; Lahm, Dante, Boateng, Alaba; Martinez, Schweinsteiger; Robben, Kroos, Ribery; Gomez. SUBS: Starke, Van Buyten Rafinha, Contento, Gustavo, Mandzukic, Muller.
We are just under 10 minutes away from kick off so let's get some team news ahead of the action.
A win today would see Bayern go a mammoth 15 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. I think even the most ardent of Dortmund fans would have to concede that their title is gone with a home win at the Allianz tonight, if they haven't already done so that is.
Dortmund were stuffed at home by Hamburg in the surprise result of the afternoon, while third place Leverkusen could only draw away at Borussia Monchengladbach. Can DIe Roten capitalise and stretch their lead at the top even further this evening?
It's been a good day for Jupp Heynckes side already and they've yet to kick a ball, as both their nearest challengers dropped points in their games earlier today.
Evening all and welcome along to Goal.com's live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between league leaders Bayern Munich and Schalke. I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be here to describe all the action from the Allianz Arena.
