So that's all from Stadyen Dynama, thanks to all who joined me this evening. Don't go anywhere else this evening though as Goal.com will be bringing you comprehensive details from all of tonight's Champions League action so stay tuned. From me, Harry Slavin, good night!
Lille will probably have come to terms with the notion that their European campaign was already over long before they arrived in Minsk and tonight's result will be a great boost for a number of young players in the side.
So BATE will continue their European adventure after Christmas which is still an almighty achievement for the Belarusian champions. They'll need to put in better performances than that however if they want to go any further in the Europa League.
FULL TIME: BATE 0-2 LILLE. Rudi Garcia's side triumph against a desperately disappointing Borisov in a result that neither side will have much use with. Lille needed to score at least three to challenge for a Europa League place while Borisov realistically had to win to keep the heat on Bayern and Valencia.
90' + 4'
Yup, that just about sums up BATE's performance. A corner is easily cleared to the edge of the are and it drops to central defender Filipenko who decides to stick his boot through it but it dribbles out behind Elana's goal.
90' + 3'
A corner late on for Lille now and this time they do bring up bodies from the back. Payet's initial corner is a poor one and he then gets caught offside from ball back in.
90' + 2'
Lille don't look to bothered about their all important third goal either. Payet has the ball on the edge of the area but there is only Roux to aim at in the middle.
90' + 1'
Yellow CardArtem Radkov
We're into 5 minutes of stoppage time now. Radkov goes into the referee;s book now for a nasty looking challenge on Idrissa Gueye.
This has been a really disappointing display from the home side. They had a great chance to challenge Bayern and Valencia for one of the qualification spots and they've surrendered it without so much as a whimper.
Yellow CardBenoit Pedretti
Benoit Pedretti is the latest to go in the referee's book as he brings down Renan Bressan.
You wouldn't have though BATE were behind and playing against 10 men. The way they've approached this second half I think they're very much content with a Europa League spot. Of course that isn't guaranteed yet.
BATE make their final change as Olekhnovich makes way for Roman Vasilyuk. Five minutes left now for the either side to grab an important goal.
A great ball over the top from Bordachev finds Rodionov but the forward can't get the ball under control and bobbles off his shin and out for goal-kick.
Rodelin is off the pitch again. His side are now temporarily down to nine.
Lille still need to find one more goal and an important block from Filipenko prevents Payet from finding Roux in the box.
A substitution from both sides now as Mikhali Sivakov comes on for Aleksandr Hleb while Laurent Bonnart comes on for Lille in place of Martin.
Lille are doing their level best to shoot themselves in the foot here. Elana has to react quickly to deal with a short back-pass and then throws himself through the air to stop a deflected effort from Rodionov.
Having seen the replay again he doesn't actually seem to make contact with Bordachev. The intent was there however and Lille will have to see this out with 10 men.
RED CARD! Well I said he needed to watch his conduct and he hasn't heeded my advice, Sidibe is off for a second bookable offence.
Lille are still looking for a third goal in Stadyen Dynama. They need to if they want to stand any chance of finishing above BATE in the group.
BATE are running out of ideas here you feel. A deep free-kick from the visitors flies harmlessly over everyone and out for a goal-kick.
That was to be the last action for the former Chelsea man as he is replaced by Dmitri Payet.
Bressan delivers a corner into the box for the hosts but it almost creates a chance for Lille as they break but Kalou's through ball is intercepts as the visitors bear down on goal.
Another player that needs to watch his conduct is Sidibe. The Lille man hauls down Olekhnovich on the edge of the of the BATE area.
First substitution from the visitors as goalscorer Bruno is replaced Nolan Roux.
The corner is taking short to Bressan but his effort is easily held by Elana. Bit of waste with all the big men up from the back.
Pedretti gives away a free-kick which BATE fire into the box. After a six-yard box scramble the ball is eventually put behind for a corner.
Olekhnovich is down receiving treatment after taking a knock in the back. It was his own captain that dealt the blow to the midfielder.
A needless foul by Bressan is given away once again. The no.10 needs to be careful not to pick up a second yellow but he's inviting the referee to do something with silly challenges like that.
Some intricate play from Lille down the right is spoiled by Rodelin's needless step over.
Surprise, surprise Rodelin is fine to continue after a bit of treatment from the magic spray. Meanwhile some more poor decision making at the back from BATE is only dealt with when Radkov clears Martin's long range effort off the line. Gorbunov was stranded.
There's a delay in play as Ronny Rodelin receives some treatment for a head injury. The home fans aren't happy and they have a point, the Lille man's reaction was very delayed.
That corner is easily cleared though and BATE try to conjure up another attack of their own.
Sidibe wins a corner as his cross comes off Bordachev and behind.Lille still putting the pressure on.
Two poor pieces of defending almost undo Lille's good work. Firstly Digne is dispossessed by his own corner flag and then Sidibe makes a hash of a clearance that falls to Bressan who cannot find the target.
Yellow CardDjibril Sidibé
Sidibe is booked for a clumsy tackle through the back of Hleb.
Both teams are still not afraid of attacking here. BATE's Hleb tries to pick the lock on the Lille defence and the visitors break with Kalou at the other end.
Lille get us back underway and there is one change at halftime for the hosts as Voldko makes way for Artem Kontsevoi.
The teams are back out in Minsk...
So as things stand Les Dogues are currently giving themselves a fighting chance of achieving European football after Christmas. They'll need to keep up the good work in the second half though before they can think ahead to Valencia.
This kind of performance must infuriate Rudi Garcia though. Questions will be asked why the more experienced members in his squad couldn't produce these type of performances earlier in the competition.
Tricky conditions in Minsk but the French side have mastered them extremely well. BATE look like a team playing with a hangover, which wouldn't be too surprising considering the Belarusian side recently wrapped up their seventh consecutive League title.
Halftime and it's BATE 0-2 LILLE. I don't think many of us would have been predicting that scoreline at the beginning of the match. A big task for Borisov in this second half if they are to keep their Knockout Stages hopes alive.
Yellow CardRenan Bressan
The referee isn't happy with Renan Bressan after a tussle with Rodelin and he goes into the book for the Belarusians. There will be one minute of additional time.
Big chance for Renan Bressan just before the break. The Brazilian-born midfielder is picked out by Olekhnovich's cross but he can only fire over under pressure from Sidibe.
So close to a third! The visitors break in numbers and Marvin Martin plays in Kalou who twists and turns before firing in a low cross which Bruno once again connects with but he can only put it over.
Five minutes to go until half time and the home side are pushing for a goal to get back into this. All avenues are closed at the moment by an organised Lille defence.
Rasping effort from Volodko but it's easily held by Steeve Elana. I reckon that's the first save he's had to make.
Lille are looking very good value at the moment and Sidibe is forward in support against is time playing through Marvin Martin but the midfielders cross is easily dealt with.
So a hill just became a mountain for BATE. They'll need to produce a minor miracle to keep this group alive. On the other hand one more goal from Lille could see the race for the Europa League spot blown wide open.
Yellow CardGianni Bruno
Bruno was actually booked for his celebration, lifting his top off to reveal a message. Silly booking but it wont dampen the forwards moment too much.
GOAL!!! Lille double their lead thanks largely to fantastic work from Lucas Digne. The full-back collects the ball on the left hand side of the box, skips past the challenge of Denis Polyakov and puts it on a plate for Gianni Bruno to grab his first goal in Europe this year.
Lille will do well to hold onto this lead. BATE have never lost in their three previous outings against French opposition in Europe.
Nothing comes of the free-kick and Borisov race up the other end, again Hleb pulling the strings, but this time the former Arsenal man's final ball lets him down.
That goal has certainly settled Garcia's youngsters now. Marvin Martin lines-up a free-kick to swing into the box.
Kalou is almost in for a second as the BATE defence goes to sleep. Andrei Gorbunov is sharp enough to react to the danger but his weak clearance falls straight to Bruno who can only blaze his hot over the bar.
The Home side are creating chances thick and fast now. This time a ball across the box evades every Lille defender but Vitali Radionov can only fire over at the back post.
That goal has come as a bit of a shock to the home side. They've suddenly started to show a much more direct approach in possession.
Aleksandr Hleb creates another chance, this time laying it back for Edgar Olekhnovich to strike but the Belarusian fires over.
BATE almost respond immediately as Hleb plays through Volodko but he dithers too long on the ball and is dispossessed.
GOAL!! LILLE ARE IN FRONT!! Well that came out of nowhere. Lille attack down the right and try to feed Gianni Bruno but when the ball is cleared back out wide it falls for Djribil Sidibe who has all the time in the world to pick his spot and fire beyond Andrei Gorbunov.
The weather has certainly had an effect on the turnout. Only about half of the 40,000 capacity stadium is full.
The Belarusian's look very comfortable at the moment. Lille's inexperienced side have yet to really get any sort of foothold in the game.
A fairly drab opening 10 minutes. Both sides are just looking to keep warm in the freezing conditions. Lots of possession for BATE but no clear chances yet.
The home side are doing well to find each other in these conditions. The captain Artem Radkov plays the ball out of defence but the long ball gets lot by his team mates in the fog.
Lille finally have the ball but can't keep hold of it for very long, which isn't surprising in these conditions, as Gianni Bruno is penalised for a high foot.
Lille are slightly more visible in their bright white kits than the home side in their deep blue strips. That hasn't them get control of the ball yet though, Borisov are yet to surrender possession.
The home side get us underway. At least I think that's who's kicked off. Visibility is poor to say the least as a thick layer of fog is covering the pitch in Minsk.
The teams are out at a rather foggy Stadyen Dynama and we are moments away from kick-off. If you want to join in the action then you can use twitter to contact me @harryslavin.
A point tonight would guarantee BATE Borisov will compete in European football after Christmas but the home side will want all three points tonight in order to challenge Bayern Munich or Valencia for the final qualifying spot in two weeks.
So Lille have rung the changes for what is likely to be their penultimate European outing of the season. Les Dogues need to better BATE's success at Grande Stade Lille Metropole in September and then hope results go their way on matchday six to have any chance of gaining the Europa League spot.
While Rudi Garcia's side has a rather youthful tinge to it. Here's how Lille shape up. LILLE; Elana, Digne, Rozehnal, Sidibe, Basa, Gueye, Martin, Pedretti, Kalou, Bruno, Rodelin. SUBS; Landreau, Soumaoro, Bonnart, Mavuba, Klonaridis, Payet, Roux.
So with about 10 minutes till kick-off let's get some team news. The home side line-up like this.BATE; Gorbunov, Radkov, Bordachev, Filipenko, Polyakov, Volodko, Renan Bressan, Hleb, Olekhnovich, Baga, Rodionov. SUBS; Gutor, Yurevich, Simic, Likhtarovich, Kontsevoi, Sivakov, Vasilyuk.
There opponents on the other hand have had a spectacular campaign by their standards. Their victory over Lille on the opening matchday was Bate Borisov's first success in the group stages and they can take Group F down to the last day if they can secure the double over their French counterparts tonight.
Lille manager Rudi Garcia had decided to rest a number of key figures as the French side's European ambitions for the season lie in tatters after a disastrous campaign that has seen them lose every Group Stage match so far.
Good evening and welcome along to Goal.com's live coverage for Lille's Champions League Group F encounter with BATE Borisov in Minsk. I'm Harry Slavin and I'll be here to take you through the action from a chilly Stadyan Dynama.
