FULL TIME. ARSENAL 2-3 WEST BROM. An unthinkable result at the start of the day that West Brom more than deserve. Arsenal threw everything at West Brom in the last few minutes but West Brom's defending was fantastic and Roberto Di Matteo's men will go back to the Midlands with a priceless three points.
90' + 1'
GOAL!! ARSENAL!! NASRI!! ARSENAL 2-3 WEST BROM. Arshavin slips the ball into Nasri who fires low past Carson. Five minutes added on here. Surely not?
Assist Andrey Arshavin
Goal Samir Nasri
Nothing is falling to the Arsenal players as West Brom are throwing bodies infront of everything. Olsson especially is defending superbly.
Arsenal's inability to resort to route one football isn't doing them any favours as Song tries to be too clever and loses the ball in a dangerous area. Arsenal's title challenge is fading fast.
West Brom are welcoming Arsenal to attack by dropping very deep to protect their two goal lead. And a somewhat clueless Arsenal side don't seem to be able to unlock the defence. West Brom look a safe bet to hold on to this lead.
Yellow Card Tomas Rosicky
GOAL!! ARSENAL!! NASRI!! ARSENAL 1-3 WEST BROM. Game on? Moments after hitting the crossbar Nasri finishes off a calm run by stroking the ball past Scott Carson. Arsenal have fifteen minutes to stage a historic comeback.
Assist Bacary Sagna
Goal Samir Nasri
Assist Chris Brunt
Goal Jerome Thomas
GOAL!!! ARSENAL 0-3 WEST BROM!! THOMAS. Unbelievable. The Arsenal old boy has just put this game to bed. He starts the move by feeding Brunt, who pulls the ball back to Thomas who slams the ball into the roof of the net to send the Baggies crowd into raptures.
Arsenal really don't look like scoring at the moment, West Brom look very comfortable at 2-0 here. The final ball from the home side has been extremely poor all afternoon.
Yellow Card Paul Scharner
Nasri whips the ball into the box but Song is unable to get on the end of it. Inches away from getting back into the game.
Another chance for Arsenal! This time it's Song who makes a great run before ballooning his shot miles over the bar!
Yellow Card Marouane Chamakh
A good run by Chamkh looks promising but the striker is pulled up for a foul on Carson. More frustration for the home side!
Good tackle Scharner! The Albion man does well to deny Song and Arsenal have to start again.
What a chance for Arsenal! Nasri is sent clean through on goal with only Carson to beat. He looks certain to score before sending a tame effort straight at Carson! What a chance for the Gunners to get back into this game!
Arsene Wenger has seen enough! He opts to mae changes: off come Eboue and Daiby and on come Rosicky and Wilshere.
Yellow Card Gonzalo Jara
The home crowd are starting to get frustrated! An groan rings around the Emirates after an Arshavin pass goes astray.
Assist Chris Brunt
Goal Gonzalo Jara
GOAL!! ARSENAL 0-2!! JARA!! Oh no Almunia. Brunt does superbly by backheeling the ball into the path of Jara, who drives into the penalty box before drilling a low shot straight at Almunia, however the ball cannons off Almunia's leg and into the back of the net. Awful goalkeeping from the Spaniard and Arsene Wenger will once again be quizzed about his lack of goalkeeping talent.
Yellow Card Laurent Koscielny
Assist Jerome Thomas
Goal Peter Odemwingie
GOAL!! WEST BROM!! ODEMWINGIE!! ARSENAL 0-1 WEST BROM. It's been coming. Thomas gets to the bye-line down the left hand side and drills the ball across goal for Odemwingie to tap in from close range.
West Brom have started the second half the way they started the first, they look like they could score with any attack.
We have resumed play at the Emirates. Can Arsenal improve in the second half? They certainly need too in order to break down a well organised West Brom side.
45' + 1'
HALF TIME. ARSENAL 0-0 WEST BROMWICH ALBION. West Bromwich Albion have been the better side in the first period and will be rueing the penalty miss from Chris Brunt. Arsene Wenger has a big team talk on his hands to try and wake up a very below par Arsenal side.
Mulumbu is having a great game for West Brom today, just as it looks like Abou Diaby has got a half yard of space on the edge of the box the midfielder puts in a stuning challenge to take the pressure off his side once again.
West Brom are dominating Arsenal at the moment. They really need to turn this dominance into a goal if they are going to get a shock three points this afternoon.
Missed Penalty Chris Brunt
Penalty save Manuel Almunia
Yellow Card Manuel Almunia
CHRIS BRUNT MISSES PENALTY FOR WEST BROM. Odemwingie sprints clear and Almunia brings down the Nigerian and it's a stonewall penalty. Chris Brunt steps up and elects to place the ball into the bottom left hand corner, but Almunia makes amends for his clumsy challenge on Odemwingie by making a stunning save getting down low and showing a very strong right hand.
Arshavin bursts into life gliding past Chris Brunt before winning a free kick in a very dangerous area. However the resulting free kick is tame and Carson punches clear.
The home crowd are beginning to show their frustration at an Arsenal side who don't seem to know what to do to break down a stubborn West Brom rearguard. Arshavin especially is having a very quiet game.
Odemwingie has almost given the away side a shock lead here at the Emirates. The Nigerian cuts inside onto his left foot and tries to beat Manuel Almunia at his near post, but the much maligned goalkeeper does superbly to get down to his left and tip the ball onto the post and out for a corner kick. Good spell here from Roberto Di Matteo's side.
Nasri, who seems to be at the heart of any positivity from Arsenal tries his luck from 25 yards but his drilled effort goes harmlessly wide of Carson's right hand post.
Peter Odemwingie is fighting a losing battle as the lone striker at the moment as his West Brom side are finding it incredibly difficult to get the ball out of their own half. Still though Arsenal are yet to get out of first gear in a lacklustre opening period.
Not really much happening here at the moment. Arsenal are having all of the ball but can't seem to get an attacking flow together as yet. With Fabregas injured its essential that Arshavin and Nasri take control of the game in midfield, but Youssuf Mulumbu is doing a very good job infront of his back four.
Replays infact showed that it was Chris Brunt who inadvertently diverted the ball onto his own post before Arshavin failed to convert at the second attempt.
So close from Arsenal. Eboue crosses in from the right and Andrei Arshavin gets there first only to see his first and second effort hit Scott Carson's right hand post. So unlucky.
Arsenal win a free-kick on the edge of the area. However Samir Nasri's effort is extremely poor and goes straight into the wall.
Yellow Card Jonas Olsson
Gael Clichy makes a superb break through the heart of West Broms midfield but his shot is well blocked and doesn't quite fall to Chamakh and West Brom clear.
West Brom are doing there level best to stop Arsenal getting into the game by keeping possession, but they are giving the ball away far too easily and Arsenal are starting to get a foothold in the match.
We are underway at the Emirates Stadium!
Arsene Wenger has made two changes to the side that drew 1-1 at Sunderland last Saturday. In come Abou Diaby and Emanuel Eboue, replacing the injured Cesc Fabregas and Carling Cup hero Jack Wilshere. West Brom manager Roberto Di Matteo also makes two changes. Pablo Ibanez replaces the injured Gabriel Tamas, while James Morrison returns from suspension to take his place in midfield, relegation Marc-Antoine Fortune to the bench.
