After a relatively quiet first half, the goalkeeper had to prove his class on more than one occasion. Pulled off a great save to deny Falcao in the 66th minute, and then Moreno just before the final whistle. All in all, a great performance.
Caught out of position on a few occasions, and let Moreno and Armero go past him easily a couple of times. Had one good run in the first half to show for his efforts in attack.
Made a few crucial tackles, but his sloppy backpass in the 27th minute nearly cost his side a goal. Over-confident at times, and should have closed down opponents more often.
His ridiculous foul in the 27th minute on Ramos should have resulted in a penalty as the defender failed to deal well with the delicate situation. Looked nervous and allowed too much space for Moreno to shoot. Gave the ball away infront of his area late in the game and could have been punished.
Calming presence in defence, the veteran was the most stable part of a relatively shaky Argentine defence. Made a few good runs to cap a near flawless performance at the back.
Started the game superbly, fighting for every ball with real passion. Had a couple of disappointing long-range strikes, and slowly started to fade away as the match progressed.
The Barcelona man enjoyed a solid game, tracking back to help out in defence, and pressuring the opposition. A calming presence for Argentina.
Ran aimlessly around the pitch, and struggled to exert himself in the centre of the park. His passing was sloppy and his tackles clumsy. Replaced by Gago in the second half.
The Manchester City forward cannot be blamed for lack of effort as he worked really hard for his team. Service was scarce in this game, and he struggled because of that.
Created Argentina's best chance of the game when he released Lavezzi in an excellent position in the 33rd minute. Tried hard to drive his team to victory, but looked a bit intimidated by the Colombians' passionate play. Spent most of the time shaking his head, instead of using it.
Flop of the match for the second time in less than a week. Wasted Argentina's best chance of the game, and despite his endless running, was largely inefficient. Another horrible outing by the Napoli man.
Superb performance by the goalkeeper. Fantastic save to deny Lavezzi in the 33rd minute, and Higuain in the 77th minute. Commanded his area well.
Aside from a few lapses of concentration, the Udinese defender had yet another great game. Secure in defence and oozing confidence in attack, the left-back nearly opened the scoring with a precise shot in the 65th minute.
Marshalled the defence superbly, neutralising the threat of Argentina's dynamic attackers with ease. His experience was crucial as Colombia's back line never showed any cracks.
The Atletico Madrid man had a good game, tackling hard and closing down opponents well. His lack of tactical awareness was not exposed by the Argentines, meaning he had a relatively easy task.
Not as bright in an attacking sense as Armero on the other flank, but just as good in defence. Showed tremendous positioning sense, and tackled cleanly.
His dynamic style was on show as he ran up and down the pitch, orchestrating play and breaking up Argentina's attacks. His set-pieces were a bit disappointing, but overall he did well.
Closely tracked by Argentina's defence, the Porto man was forced to drop deep to play with the ball, something uncharacteristic for him. He did well nonetheless, creating a couple of great opportunities for this team-mates.
Great dribbling and running, but downright awful finishing. Missed an open goal in 27th minute, and sent shots from promising positions into the stands.

The Real Madrid midfielder came on to inject some energy and creativity in midfield, and did well. Passed the ball superbly and tackled hard.

Had a very good shot blocked in the 77th minute, but looked isolated at times.
Gave much needed dynamism to his team's attack, but failed to pull off another super-sub heroics.
