Live Commentary

  • The home side started well in the first ten minutes, but two goals in quick succession made the stands quiet and the game looked like a fore gone conclusion from that point. So it's the Toffees who progress who face a trip to either Bolton or Sunderland in the Fourth Round. I've been Dale Jones and thank you for joining's LIVE commentary, stay tuned for the Match Report and Ratings.

Kevin Friend brings an end to the game and it ends Cheltenham 1 - 5 Everton. The away side had too much class for the League Two side and deserved their win as they progress into the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

Impressive build up play in midfield from the home side ends with Taylor forcing a corner off Oviedo, unfortunately for Cheltenham no-one can get on the end of Billy Jones's set peice.

There's been no cutting edge chances for either side since Coleman's goal. Everton seem content on seeing the game out and the home side look a beaten one.
  • 75'
The home side look more likely to score at the moment. Again down Everton's left, Jombati makes inroads to the byline, cuts back for McGlashan to cross to the head of Duffy but the striker heads wide.
  • 71'
Slight chance for Cheltenham - More good running down the right from McGlashan with his cross half cleared to substitute Jake Taylor, however despite showing good technique, the on-loan Reading midfielder shoots over the bar.
  • 69'
Subsitutions galore at the moment, this time it's Leon Osman making way for Everton with Steven Naismith taking his place.

    SubstitutionLeighton Baines Magaye Gueye
Yes, Magaye Gueye has come on for the visitors, he replaces Leighton Baines who has been a joy to watch going forward tonight.

It looks as though David Moyes is going to rest a couple of players now the three goal lead is restored, with a lot of movement on the Everton bench.
  • 58'
    Goal Seamus Coleman
GOAL!! Everton regain their three goal lead after a sublime finish by Seamus Coleman.

  • 54'
The home side and the crowd have finally woken up, McGlashan does well again down the right and aims a cross towards Goulding who can't direct his header goalwards. Good defending by Distin to prevent the striker from getting his shot on target.

  • The two teams are back on the pitch for the second half, Cheltenham manager Mark Yates would of had a tough team talk at half-time but stranger things have happened in the FA Cup..
  • 45' + 2'
The first half ends with not much action at either end and the away side will be happy with their two goal lead at the interval. Cheltenham Town shouldn't be too down hearted over their performance in the first half, however they don't look like unpicking the Everton defence anytime soon.
  • 43'
It's Baines turn to cause McGlashan problems, he out paces the winger this time to earn a free-kick for the away side. The battle between the two is becoming an intriguing one.

  • 36'
Jermaine McGlashan is certainly causing Leighton Baines trouble down Everton's left, the winger again wins a free-kick from the defender.
