• Craven Cottage, London
Referee: L. Mason
• Attendance: 14473
G. Karagounis 80'
L. Sylvestre 60'
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "Fulham will be happy at securing a replay against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road after a stunning goal from veteran Giorgos Karagounis cancelled out Ludovic Sylvestre's drive early in the second half. While Martin Jol's side were well below par for the most part, their late pressure almost resulted in a winner with the visitors tiring after spending the majority of the game chasing the ball. It's not the result the home supporters would have wanted prior to kick-off, but their FA Cup hopes for this season are still alive.....just."
Michael Appleton will be disappointed to be held to a replay after a moment of quality from Giorgos Karagounis cancelled out Ludovic Sylvestre's hard fought opener. Fulham had recorded most of the possession but Blackpool had defended solidly and attacked intelligently, recording some of the best chances of the game through Tom Ince before the impressive Ludovic Sylvestre's cool finish capitalised on good work from Nathan Delfouneso. The Tangerines continued to threaten on the counter-attack and looked like they could record a memorable upset, but the Greece international's curling winner broke their resistance and from then on the Championship side were under heavy pressure and will be relieved to escape with a draw. Bryan Ruiz hit the bar for Fulham late on but there would be no way through for Martin Jol's side, and the two are now set for a replay at Bloomfield.
90' + 4'
The referee is yet to blow the whistle and Nathan Ecclestone does well to find Tom Ince, who holds the ball up and cleverly waits for the referee to blow full-time.
90' + 3'
Stockdale kicks the ball long and Berbatov pressures Broadfoot as he attempts to clear the high ball. The move ends with one last cross for Fulham from the right flank but the danger is cleared.
90' + 2'
90' + 1'
Delfouneso concedes a corner after a good piece of defending, and from the delivery Hangeland and Berbatov compete to meet the delivery with a powerful header that bounces over the bar.
James McManus live at Craven Cottage: "Fulham think they've won it late on after Kieran Richardson finds himself in plenty of space down the left and sends in an absolute pearler of a cross which finds Bryan Ruiz unmarked eight yards out from goal, but his diving header crashes against the woodwork and Blackpool hack it clear. Four minutes of added time and you sense there's another goal in this yet."
Fulham keep up the pressure as Blackpool hang on desperately for a draw.
Bryan Ruiz hits the bar! Richardson whips an excellent cross in from the left flank and reaches the unmarked Costa Rica international, but his header hits the bar. Blackpool are caught by surprise at the corner but manage to clear the effort.
Fulham look more likely to get a second goal as the home side flood forward, Kieran Richardson strikes a firm shot from the left edge of the box with his weaker right foot but Gilks watches the ball wide.
Robert (Bob) Harris
James McManus live at Craven Cottage: "Fulham are finally level after flooding forward in search of an equaliser and it's a goal right out of the top drawer from Giorgos Karagounis, who takes the ball down on his chest after a corner is cleared out to the edge of the box, before unleashing a dipping volley into the top left corner. What a magnificent hit!"
Goal Georgios Karagounis
Excellent finish from Karagounis! The Greece international picked up the ball on the right flank before cutting inside onto his left foot and curling a ball over the despairing Matt Gilks into the far left corner of the net.
Delfouneso breaks beyond the Fulham defensive line but opts to shoot despite the presence of the arguably better-placed Kevin Phillips. Poor decision making there.
Winger Kerim Frei appears on the left wing replacing full-back Matthew Briggs as Kieran Richardson moves to left-back.
Tom Ince has moved to the left flank and his low cross narrowly evades Kevin Phillips. That was a real chance.
Alex Kacaniklic is taken off for his fellow left-sided winger Kieran Richardson.
Tom Ince receives the ball after good work from Delfouneso but his shot is wayward.
Karagounis evades Delfouneso before finding Riether on the right flank but the move breaks down.
Berbatov impresses in the Blackpool box forcing last-ditch defending from the Tangerines as Fulham pour forward. Bob Harris reacts quickly to make a last-ditch tackle from the Bulgarian as he prepares to pull the trigger.
Fulham don't look panicked by the concession and after good play by Karagounis, Blackpool concede a throw-in following Kirk Broadfoot's clearance.
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "It's a goal slightly against the run of play but no more than Fulham deserve after a sloppy, lacklustre performance so far. With Sascha Riether caught high up the pitch when a move breaks down, Nathan Delfouneso runs at Aaron Hughes before showing great awareness to lay the ball off to Ludovic Sylvestre on the edge of the box, who takes one touch and steadies himself before driving a vicious effort into the bottom right-hand corner past David Stockdale. It's an excellent hit and Blackpool now have something to hold onto. Game on."
Goal Ludovic Sylvestre
Ludovic Sylvestre scores! Delfouneso burst in behind defender Aaron Hughes down the left channel, held onto the ball after cutting inside onto his right foot as he waited for his teammates to move into position, before playing the ball on the edge of the 18 yard box to Sylvestre who struck a controlled finish with the outside of his foot into the bottom right corner.
Delfouneso appeals for a penalty after going down on the edge of the box. It wasn't in the box but did look a foul.
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "The second half has started much as the first finished, with Blackpool content to pack men behind the ball and try and cacth Fulham on the break, with the hosts dominating possession but doing very little with it. Ashkan Dejagah has just been surprisingly subbed off early in the half for Hugo Rodallega despite being one of the team's brighter performers today and manager Martin Jol is clearly looking for a reaction, unhappy with what he's seen so far from his side."
Ruiz carelessly allows himself to be caught offside after looking to receive a through-ball from Berbatov after good work on the right flank.
Striker Hugo Rodallega comes on in place of right-winger Ashkan Dejagah. Martin Jol is likely to want to attack in search of a winning goal, with the aim of avoiding a replay in the event of a draw.
Fulham's Briggs receives a yellow card for a foul on Tom Ince and the Tangerines receive a free kick.
Yellow Card Matthew Briggs
Ruiz crosses after a short corner but Blackpool clear.
Karagounis orchestrates a move on the edge of the Blackpool box before right-back Eardley concedes a throw-in.
Referee Lee Mason blows the whistle to begin the second half.
The referee blows the whistle for half-time and draws an end to the first half of the match. Fulham have had more of the possession but created few clear chances, while Blackpool have gone close twice on the break through Tom Ince. The Cottagers have so far gone closest through Bryan Ruiz' free kick, but the Tangerines could tire in the second half having put a lot of effort in to keeping level at the break.
45' + 1'
Dejagah gets down the right flank to the by-line and as the ball gets through to Berbatov, Bob Harris is careful not to give away a penalty as he makes the challenge.
The Tangerines look to keep the ball in the run-up to half-time.
Blackpool attack but give Bryan Ruiz the chance to break on the counter-attack before a nervy clearance from Broadfoot brings an end to the danger.
Fulham attack through the middle before Kacaniklic slows the move down. Briggs puts in a cross but the delivery flies wide.
Broadfoot races back into defence after his side gives the ball away as Fulham attack, and Matthew Briggs ends the move with a shot that rises over the goal failing to threaten Gilks.
Tom Ince wins another corner for Blackpool and delivers towards centre-back Kirk Broadfoot, but Fulham are able to clear. Blackpool however are able to counter-attack and an impressive move concludes as Kevin Phillips forces a save from Stockdale.
Blackpool have spent much of the game on the back foot but arguably have had two of the best chances of the game through Tom Ince.
Forward Nathan Delfouneso can be seen speaking to coach Michael Appleton after being forced further and further back by Fulham right-back Sascha Riether.
Berbatov plays a central role as Fulham build an attack down the right flank, before Aaron Hughes whips the ball in from the right for keeper Gilks to claim.
Stockdale is forced into another save after Kevin Phillips deftly flicked the ball into the path of Tom Ince. The 20-year-old shoots at goal but the ball flies straight into the keeper's arms.
Alex Kacaniklic receives the ball and takes on Neil Eardley who appears short of support from Tom Ince, before striking the ball wide of the net.
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "Fulham are knocking on the door here and have gone close several times in the opening 25 minutes, with Blackpool flinging bodies left, right and centre to get anything on the ball. One particular loud chap in the crowd is screaming every time the hosts have got the ball 'options Briggs, options' about left back Matthew Briggs lack of movement. The most uncivil thing I've ever heard someone shout at Craven Cottage before, Chelsea fans take note."
Berbatov puts the ball out for a corner taken by Tom Ince, the Bulgarian heads the delivery away at the near post.
Steve Sidwell's shot from outside the box misses to the right of the goal.
Kirk Broadfoot benefits from a degree of leniency from the referee as his foul on Hangeland is lucky to go unpunished. Bryan Ruiz is unable to capitalise on the free kick from a way out.
Fulham claim a penalty after Neil Eardley's arm appears to strike the ball in the box, but the referee awards a corner. Bob Harris manages to clear the delivery.
Ashkan Dejagah fails to get a firm connection on a low cross as he tips the ball wide of the post.
Yellow Card Chris Basham
Bryan Ruiz curls the ball towards the top left corner but Matt Gilks saves.
Craig Basham is yellow-carded for a foul on Bryan Ruiz just outside the right edge of the box.
Alex Baptiste cuts out a cross from left-back Matthew Briggs.
Sascha Riether and Steve Sidwell combine on the right flank but are eventually repelled by Sylvestre and left-back Bob Harris.
Chris Basham held up the ball in the box before laying the ball off to Tom Ince, who opts for power and blasts the ball at goal, forcing Stockdale into a vital save!
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "Fulham are bossing it at the moment and the difference in quality is showing even at this early stage. Clear-cut chances have been in short supply but Dimitar Berbatov has gone closest with a deflected effort that had Matt Gilks scrambling to try and keep out an own goal, with Kevin Phillips looking extremely isolated up top for the visitors at the moment."
Matt Gilks makes a saved from his own defender Alex Baptiste! Karagounis chips a ball over the top to Dimitar Berbatov who looks to shoot after picking up the ball behind Baptiste. The centre-back unintentionally diverts the ball towards his own net but Gilks makes the save!
Blackpool's Ludovic Sylvestre steps up to take a free-kick awarded for a foul on Kevin Phillips, but the floated delivery attracts derision from the crowd as keeper David Stockdale catches the ball without trouble.
Fulham look to control possession in the early stages as Giorgos Karagounis waves left-back Matthew Briggs forward from left-back.
The referee gets the game underway at Craven Cottage!
James McManus at Craven Cottage: "Greetings from Craven Cottage and the game between Fulham and Blackpool this crisp afternoon. The hosts have named a strong looking side with both Dimitar Berbatov and Bryan Ruiz starting while the pre-match buzz centres largely on the presence of Liverpool transfer target Tom Ince who starts for Michael Appleton's side in what could be his last appearance for the club if reports about a deal being close are to be believed. It promises to be a fairly even game but Martin Jol will be hoping for a cup run this term to provide a welcome distraction from the club's very ordinary league form."
Blackpool name Bob Harris at left-back in place of Stephen Crainey, while former England international Kevin Phillips gets a start up front, with Nathan Delfouneso moved out wide on the left opposite starlet Tom Ince. The 20-year-old son of former England captain Paul Ince has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, and will look to take his chance to impress against Premier League opposition.
Fulham name a strong line-up unchanged from that which defeated West Brom on Tuesday, including the big guns of both Bryan Ruiz and Dimitar Berbatov up front.
Blackpool: Gilks; Eardley, Baptiste, Broadfoot, Harris; Basham, Osbourne, Sylvestre; Ince, Kevin Phillips, Delfouneso. Subs: Halstead, Crainey, Gomes, Cathcart, Bruna, Martinez, Eccleston.
Fulham: Stockdale; Riether, Hughes, Hangeland, Briggs; Dejagah, Karagounis, Sidwell, Kacaniklic; Ruiz, Berbatov. Subs: Somogyi, Senderos, Baird, Kasami, Richardson, Rodallega, Frei.
