Goal rates the players on show as two late goals from Marco Reus bring BVB back from the dead after Ivan Perisic had helped put the hosts ahead against his former club

    Diego Benaglio

Solid for much of the game, including a great stop from Lewandowski early in the second half. However, was indecisive as Reus grabbed Dortmund's second and that was the spark for the comeback.

  • Naldo

    Naldo Top of the Match

Proved irrepressible at both ends. Read the game well at the back and was a constant worry to the Dortmund defence from set pieces. He showed great composure to rifle in his side's third goal.

  • Robin Knoche

    Robin Knoche

A composed performance in defence from the 20-year-old who dealt well with the opposition attackers. He may afforded Lewandowski a bit too much space at times.

  • Ricardo Rodriguez

    Ricardo Rodriguez

Always looking to probe down the left side, either with a forward run or by releasing Perisic. His delivery was consistently brilliant from set plays and put BVB on the back foot every time.

  • Slobodan Medojevic

    Slobodan Medojevic

The young Serbian began the game impressive, passing the ball well in midfield and looking very composed. In the second half, though, he was forced to chase the play a lot more and could not stop BVB dictating the play.

  • Vieirinha

    2
    2.50

    Vieirinha

He combined well with Hasebe to make Wolfsburg a real threat down the right flank early on, but he did not create enough chances himself. With the ball at his feet he was unwilling to take on defenders.

  • Ivan Perisic

    Ivan Perisic

Came back to haunt his former club with two first-half goals that turned the game on its head. His first was a simple finish and the second was deflected off a team-mate, but he was never far from the ball in dangerous areas.

  • Diego Ribas

    Diego Ribas

The Brazilian did well to control the tempo of the game for Wolfsburg. He made a number of scything passes through the defence and created some good chances for his team.

  • Makoto Hasebe

    Makoto Hasebe

Put in an energetic performance playing out of position at right-back. He regularly pushed on and played a role in his side's equaliser, but he became increasingly ragged as his side came under pressure late on.

  • Jan Polak

    Jan Polak

The Czech provided a physical presence in front of the defence and disrupted the play of the opponents with high pressing and interceptions. He made a good run to flick the ball on for Naldo to add the third goal.

  • Ivica Olic

    Ivica Olic

A brilliant afternoon from the 33-year-old as he gave the Dortmund defenders an horrific afternoon. He played on the shoulder and regularly latched onto passes in behind. One such run saw him supply an assist for Perisic's first.

    Roman Weidenfeller

The keeper was let down by his defence who were dragged all over the place for the opener. A wicked deflection took the ball away from him for the second and there was no chance of stopping Naldo from adding a third.

  • Mats Hummels

    Mats Hummels

Was dragged all over the place as the centre-back pairing seemed to have no communication throughout the game. He failed to track runners through the middle and was forced to make some rash challenges.

  • Lukasz Piszczek

    Lukasz Piszczek

Was unable to provide the typical level of attacking threat down the right as Rodriguez and Perisic constantly forced him back. Still, he rarely let anyone get in behind him in the wide areas.

  • Felipe Santana

Felipe Santana Flop of the Match

The Brazilian centre-back had an absolute nightmare, proving immobile and lethargic. He let Naldo get free in the area to add Wolfsburg's third and he was saved from scoring a needless own goal by Weidenfeller's post.

  • Marcel Schmelzer

    Marcel Schmelzer

Struggled to cope with the combination of Vieirinha and Hasebe down his flank. His eagerness to get forward meant he was caught out of position too many times, but he offered very little in the Wolfsburg half.

  • Sven Bender

    Sven Bender

Opened the scoring after just five minutes with a decent run but found himself soon on the back foot. He did his best to try and protect the defence before being withdrawn at half-time.

  • Ilkay Gündogan

    Ilkay Gündogan

Found it difficult to get enough room to influence the game in a more advanced role than he is accustomed to. He improved after the break and provided a sublime pass for Reus' first goal.

  • Marco Reus

    Marco Reus

Was unable to find space and time to pick up the ball and run at defenders but tracked back to help out defensively. His determination was impressive and two clinical finishes late on rescued his team from the jaws of defeat.

  • Nuri Sahin

    Nuri Sahin

Swung in a brilliant ball for Bender to open the scoring, but he failed to consistently show such levels of technique throughout the game. His touch was very sloppy and he was caught in possession far too frequently.

  • Kevin Großkreutz

    Kevin Großkreutz

Had practically no involvement in the first 45 minutes, contributing close to nothing going forward. Replaced by Blaszczykowski at the interval.

    Robert Lewandowski

The Pole proved hesitant in the final third, failing to show the clinical nature that has seen him linked with a host of Europe's elite clubs.

Substitutions

  • Moritz Leitner

    Moritz Leitner

Replaced Felipe Santana in the 76th minute and did not have time to impact proceedings.

    Jakub Blaszczykowski

Having been brought on for Grosskreutz at half-time the Pole added a lot more energy to the BVB attack. However, he did not offer enough width to stretch the opposition defence and was unable to penetrate.

  • Julian Schieber

    Julian Schieber

Came on for Bender at half-time but was unable to make a positive mark on the game. He had one effort which flew narrowly wide of Benaglio's post in an otherwise bland outing.
