Goal.com rates the performers on show at Stade Auguste Delaune II as Carlo Ancelotti's side stumbled to a shock defeat

By Mohammed Ali

  • Kossi Agassa

    Kossi Agassa

The Togolese goalkeeper was imperious, and didn't put a foot wrong during the entire game. Frustrated the likes of Ibrahimovic and Lavezzi with a string of decent saves. When it mattered, especially towards the end, Agassa kept a calm head to see the game out.

  • Mohamed Fofana
    2

    3.50

    Mohamed Fofana

Not the first name on the team-sheet, but Fofana enjoyed a great game in defence, playing in an unusual centre-back pairing with Weber. Positionally, he could've done better what with playing Ibrahimovic onside, but nevertheless, stayed solid.

  • Franck Signorino

    3.00

    Franck Signorino

Made the left-back position his own, and excelled, especially during the first half with a string of attacking runs and progress down the flank. Faded towards the end, as he focused instead on defending Reims' lead, but can be happy with his performance.

  • Anthony Weber

    3.00

    Anthony Weber

The centre-back produced a series of blocks and interceptions to frustrate and limit PSG. Did well to marshal Ibrahimovic for much of the encounter, as he struck a fine understanding with Fofana.

  • Christopher Glombard
    1
    1
    2.50

    Christopher Glombard

The weak link in the Reims' XI this evening. The midfielder reverted to right-back following Mandi's suspension, and after being initially promising, he was on the wane. Poor passing throughout, before being sent off.

  • Grzegorz Krychowiak

    1
    4.00

Grzegorz Krychowiak Top of the Match

The matchwinner, Krychowiak was hugely productive in the middle of the park. Covered a lot of ground as he sought to instigate various opportunities for his side, before playing his part in Reims' famous win. The Polish international shone for the full game, asserting his authority in defence and attack.

  • Antoine Devaux
    1
    1
    3.50

    Antoine Devaux

Devaux was one of Reims' better midfielders this evening, with a fine array of passing and creativity to set up Courtet. Had a chance of his own well saved by Sirigu, but substituted due to Glombard's red card.

  • Johan Ramare
    1
    1
    3.00

    Johan Ramare

Ramare fitted in well in the middle of the park, and initially looked to be outmuscled by the opposition. Nevertheless, he grew as the game wore on, becoming increasingly important before being subbed in the 75th minute.

  • Odaïr Fortes
    1
    1
    3.50

    Odaïr Fortes

The Cape Verdean was an attacking threat throughout for the hosts, with his pace and pressure causing various problems for the league leaders. Should've got a goal himself, but will be happy with his input.

  • Diego
    1
    1
    3.50

    Diego

The Brazilian, like Fortes - was rather selfish in not supplying his team-mates to add to Reims' lead, but like Fortes also, he was at the centre of most attacking opportunities. Switched to defensive mode late on to protect his side's advantage, doing well there also.

  • Gaëtan Courtet
    1
    1
    3.00

    Gaëtan Courtet

The striker held off the challenge of Fauvergue and De Preville to be handed the starting role this evening, and he didn't disappoint. Though, obviously, his profligate finishing aside, Courtet seemed to be involved in nearly every Reims' attack - an asset.

Substitutions

  • Bocundji Ca
    2
    1

    Bocundji Ca

Thrown on for Ramare with a quarter of an hour to play, and the midfielder excelled as he helped to frustrate PSG for longer. Did well to trouble Sakho, which earned the defender a yellow.

  • Florent Ghisolfi
    1
    1
    3.00

    Florent Ghisolfi

Came on for Devaux to add some steel in the midfield, but after a promising cameo, went off due to an injury deep into injury time leaving his side with nine men.

  • Nicolas Fauvergue
    1
    1

    Nicolas Fauvergue

Came on with eight minutes to go for Courtet.

  • Salvatore Sirigu
    1
    2
    2.50

    Salvatore Sirigu

Not the best game from Sirigu, who aside from conceding, and parrying two attempts - didn't have much else to contend with. Nevertheless, he was nowhere to be seen for Krychowiak's winner.

  • Mamadou Sakho
    1
    4
    2.00

    Mamadou Sakho

The 22-year-old had been excelling in the last couple of months, but tonight he was left in tatters by a bold and abrasive Reims attack. Couldn't handle Courtet or Ca, at times leaving his position open.

  • Alex
    2
    3
    2.50

    Alex

Fared a little better than Sakho, but nevertheless, the Brazilian was distinctly average. Didn't manage to impact himself aerially, and was at times sloppy with his clearances.

  • Sylvain Armand
    1
    4
    2.00

    Sylvain Armand

The captain this evening, Armand was another who disappointed against what should've been regarded as easy opposition. Suffered a knock during the game, but his flank was exposed - which proved to be a great source of attacking opportunities for Reims.

  • Gregory van der Wiel
    0
    6
    1.50

    Gregory van der Wiel

With Jallet currently injured, it was up to the Dutchman to attempt to reclaim the position he lost. In fact, he failed again, constantly leaving his position open for counter-attacks, and failed to sparkle when going forward. Needs to up his game big time.

  • Blaise Matuidi
    0
    3
    2.00

    Blaise Matuidi

Normally the cool, energetic player that he is, Matuidi epitomised PSG's performance tonight. Sluggish, at times slow, and sloppy, he couldn't replicate his usual form adding to a disjointed performance.

  • Marco Verratti
    1
    3
    2.50

    Marco Verratti

Verratti was, in truth, one of the better players for PSG tonight, with his passing at times confusing the opposition. But his discipline again showed, with a few reckless challenges before he was taken off for Beckham.

  • Javier Pastore
    0
    5
    2.00

    Javier Pastore

Like Sakho, Pastore had been improving in recent weeks before coming unstuck again against Fournier's side. Failed to be consistent throughout the game, with his team-mates not on the same wavelength.

  • Lucas
    4
    3
    2.50

    Lucas

The Brazilian international too, found it difficult. Though he instigated various opportunities, his shooting was considerably off, as he failed to seriously trouble Agassa.

  • Zlatan Ibrahimovic
    1
    4
    2.00

    Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The Swede can argue that he had a goal wrongly ruled out due to offside, but aside from that incident and two other decent free-kick opportunities, Ibrahimovic failed to do much else in the game. Disappointing throughout.

  • Ezequiel Lavezzi
    0
    4
    2.00

Ezequiel Lavezzi Flop of the Match

Missed a superb one on one opportunity with TV cameras showing Ancelotti giving the striker a stern talking to just before the second half resumption. That didn't inspire him, as Lavezzi limped to a toothless performance.

Substitutions

  • Jérémy Menez
    0
    4
    2.00

    Jérémy Menez

Came on to provide the attacking width which Pastore sorely lacked, but he too failed to sparkle.

  • David Beckham

    3
    2.00

    David Beckham

The ex-England captain arrived to much fanfare, but the harsh realities are beginning to catch up with him. Thrown on for Verratti, he was severely lacking in quality.

  • Kevin Gameiro

    4
    2.00

    Kevin Gameiro

Came on for Lucas with 14 minutes to go, and failed to impact well on proceedings.
