Questionable positioning when charging out on Sturridge, but had his blushes spared by Zabaleta. His blushes nearly returned though when the defender almost scored an own goal after a mix-up between the pair. Flapped at a few crosses but made a fine late save to deny Sturridge from a winner.
The captain made a brilliant tackle to deny Sturridge early on and was solid as always - aside from one lapse in concentration where he nearly scored an embarrassing own goal.
A poor clearance that hit Sturridge led to a chance for Suarez, but the centre-back dealt with most else and made a very important intervention to deny Carragher. Great late tackle on Suarez.
Found Suarez's trickery hard to defend against at times and didn't offer his usual attacking threat.
Failed to cope with Sturridge's pace and skill on a few occasions but was otherwise fairly solid. Sacrificed for Kolarov as Mancini tried something different after the break.
Crossed for Dzeko's opening goal and, as always, worked hard on his flank going backwards and forwards and providing some teasing crosses. A very good game from the industrious midfielder, when the creators didn't really turn up.
Headed over with a half-chance early on. Failed to clear the ball before Sturridge made it 1-1. At times failed to deal with Suarez as he dropped deeper.
Tracked back well and made a number of important tackles, also started some attacking moves on the front foot. Provided the assist for Aguero's goal. Withdrawn late on.
Tested Reina with a brilliant early strike. Found space in front of the Liverpool area and was involved in the first goal. Not as much of a threat after the break as was withdrawn with around 15 minutes left.
Failed to get hold of the ball early on but found space in the box for a simple opener. Picked up a silly booking for dissent and went missing after the break.
Showed great skill in the build-up to the opener, and some other fine touches. Unfortunate to lose his footing after one superb solo run. Went missing at times but rescued a point with a fabulous instinctive finish.
Thrown on in the second-half after City went behind and almost scored with a powerful header, but sent it over, then almost set-up a goal with a dangerous cross.
Brought on for Nastasic in the second half in a change that did lift City during a spell of Liverpool dominance.
Put on very late on in the place of the impressive Barry as City searched for a winner.
Good early save from Silva and had no chance with Dzeko's tap-in. A rash moment allowed Aguero to bag a late equaliser, though the striker's finish was breathtaking.
Good vision to find Sturridge for an early chance and continued to bomb forward when he could.
Looked to get forward when he could and was solid at the back. Replaced by Skrtel with just over ten minutes left.
Sloppy pass-back gave a corner away that led to an early Garcia chance. He lost Dzeko's position for the opening goal, and sat too deep allowing Milner to stay onside. Improved after the break and won most things that came his way.
Was dominant in the air, and made numerous interceptions on the ground, though might have communicated better for Dzeko's goal. Almost scored after a good cross from Suarez.
Kept his side ticking over but hit a couple of wayward passes and set-piece deliveries. Provided the assist for Sturridge's goal with a neat pass and then got Liverpool's second with a sublime strike from range.
Started fairly well but wasted a couple of decent positions. Also made a few poor tackles as the game continued, including a wild foul on Barry before being booked for a rash lunge on Milner.
Didn't pose a threat going forward but made a few interceptions at the back. Wasted some good openings.
Broke up numerous attacks with well-timed tackles, always staying on his feet. Started a few of his own side's, too.
Played in a slightly different role in behind Sturridge, where he pressured the ball well from but had less effect on the game. Still impressed and proved hard to pick up, waltzing past Clichy and Barry with sublime skill on one occasion. Didn't have his shooting boots on, though.
Would have given the Reds the lead after showing a beautiful touch following Johnson's pass if it were not for a Zabaleta tackle. Did then find the net with an absolute rocket to level the scores. Stepped up in a more central role for the team, though did pick up a booking for diving in a less influential second half. Did nearly win it with a late toe-poked effort.
Brought on for Enrique with around ten minutes remaining and instantly lost Aguero for his equaliser. Made up for it with an important late block from a Maicon cross.
Replaced Sturridge late on in injury time.
